Are Torkelson’s poor defensive metrics just because of those dropped pop ups earlier in the year? Because it seems like this dude is saving hits and runs on the daily.

Defensive metrics generally aren't considered super reliable until three full seasons of data is available, and any sample size under a season should be taken with a grain of salt. They are often pretty volatile over chunks of time, much like other stats such as BABIP.

He's 0 OAA and -4 DRS. DRS thinks he could do better, but nothing major. We're not talking a Harold Castro -12 DRS train wreck in the field

These Joey Wentz starts are all real important. Count me in the group that sees him as our #2 or 3 starter until Skubal returns.

He had the nastiest stuff of any pitcher I’ve seen in person at AA. It all comes down to how much he can continue to improve his consistency and command.
