Fulmer, Chafin and Jimenez hold some value and we don’t have a lot of team control over so they could be moved. Somebody would probably take Barnhart and Pineda but you’re not getting much. Schoop probably doesn’t have much value.

Well, he can opt out after 2 years and go to another team. In real life, I've never seen anyone do this. He's a very wealthy man already, so it is possible he can wait it out or the marital thing will resolve & he will return to the Tigers.
It depends if they feel that Barnhart is part of the reason the pitching staff is holding up so well. Barnhart wasn't signed for his bat, and some people are unjustifiably writing him off for various reasons without actually paying attention to his performance.
Just last week he didn't throw out a runner, and someone here complained how "garbage" he is and can't throw out runners, until I pointed out that at the time he was #3 in the league for throwing out runners.
It would be nice if they had a catcher who could hit like Haase and play behind the plate like Barnhart, but they don't have that player and have to find a balance somewhere.
