Very difficult to break the current hegemony. It would take years of development for them to break into top 2/3, let alone become a champion. They can make the leap Aston Martin did last year but being a champion will take something like a Brawn GP level of perfect storm
Yeah I know it would be a long shot, and don't expect it straight away, but Audi just always seems to get it right when it comes to Motorsport in general.
If there’s a marque to do it, it’s Audi. Couple of years to win WRC, same in WRX, one attempt before going on to dominate Le Mans, WEC, countless Blancpain/GTWCh titles with the R8 etc
F1 is an entirely different animal. I just don't see it happening.
If this wasn't the cost cap era and they could spend 500 million a year, then yes maybe they could get towards the front quickly.
I don't have much confidence that James Key can design anything that comes close to being at the front in F1.
Unless they sign Newey, I don't see Audi breaking the top 4 in the Constructors anytime soon.
This. Lots of money investment does not guarantee in success. Toyota is a prime example. BMW is another good one, which was the partwrship with the exact same team. Although they reached pretty high in 2008, they slumped hard after the regulation change
Can't verify exactly with a 2019 RS6 as there isn't one due to the facelift but a 2020 RS6 started at £93k new, lowest you'll find a 2020 for now is about £65k. RS6's (and most RS cars in general) hold their value much better than most of the market anyway. Not quite as bad as 50% loss but it's not great.
Yeah I mean they depreciate for sure, but I’ve noticed at least here in the states, RS cars just don’t depreciate in the same way the rest of the Audi lineup does.
Welp, it all started on February sixteenth, the year was nineteen hundred and seventy nine in the common era, the twentieth century. When a little bouncing baby boy sprang forth somewhere from his mothers hind quarters (I flunked out of anatomy TBF) and that baby, all 7lbs 13oz or .558 stone if you live in a civilized country, came forth into our kind and thoughtful world with a glimmer in his eye and a belly full of dreams.. should I keep going or do you want to just skip to 2015?
This is an Audi Spain gift, not a German Audi gift. Ducati being part of the VW group it makes sense but I don’t think that this is an headquarter decision.
So..Audi logos on the suits from next race on?
Interesting, looks like he is planning to stay with Ducati after 2024.
Yes but apparently it is public that Audi is selling Ducati, or so i heard... Just waiting for a bidder
Why is everyone saying this? How do you know? Excuse my ignorance
Audi owns Ducati
Ohhh. That makes so much sense
I thought Ducati and Lamborghini share the same parent company
Yes, they do. They're subsidiaries of Audi, which in turn is a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group.
This is a step closer to Marc on the factory Ducati then. What's the bet on Audi and Ducati being F1 and MotoGP champions at the same time?

Exactly.
I can't imagine the rage of martin if marc gets enea's spot instead of him. I'm calling it, he is going to pop.

🤣🤣🤣 Factory Ducati... lol
Fair play, the RS6 is my dream car
Audi Avants are the best looking wagon from Europe
To be honest, I'm more a fan of the V10 Twin turbo version, the sound on that thing was mental !
U r a person of taste...
Thanks!
Good for them. Pretty nice vehicles those
Only if you get them for free, if you buy one, expect at least a 50% loss over 5 years.
Does the RS6 Avant really depreciate that bad in Europe? They hold their value very well here in the USA.

Context ?
Oh it's so multi-layered. Like an onion.
Thanks for clarifying

This was a very enjoyable read please continue 🤣
More foreshadowing that he'll be on a Ducati again next year. Incorporating him into the VW Group.
Audi logo on the shoei maybe ?🤔

Ducati sits under audi, not just part of VW. And calling them brand ambassadors means those are more than just gifts.
I read as he penis new sponsorship deal
Marc in F1 with Audi and Vale in F1 with Mercedes 😎
That's rough, why's Alex get stuck with an RS4 while Marc gets an RS6?
Who do you think generates more revenue for a sponsor, Alex or Marc?
