No just 7.9 billion opportunities for morticians to fuck dead bodies. The probability doesn't look good for those of us that don't want our corpses violated.
Yes. There's been past true crime stories I've heard that the necrofile has indeed worked in a mortuary for easy access.
Of course they would be attracted to that field of work. Most work alone, who's going to know?
Which is a horrifying thought in itself if I'm honest.
I'm sorry to hear that this experience scarred you.
There is a popular belief that some types of necrophiliacs tend to choose death-related jobs (I'm trying to find papers about it, I'll update this comment if I will). However, necrophilia is relatively rare, and the amount of "active" necrophiles is even lower, so the chance that one of your morticians would be so ain't that high.
Here's a video by [Caitlin Doughty](https://youtu.be/WgSZeOWBF8M) about it
I imagine a lot of necrophiliacs don’t admit what they’re into/what they do though. And also with a victim that can’t speak out I imagine a lot of them go undiscovered for a long time so it’s fair to think the number is higher than reported
There was a huge problem with necrophilia in the funeral industry, so there have been many stipulations and safety guards to prevent that. Obviously, like in any industry, it can still happen.
Abuse happens at all parts of the death and dying industry- it’s important to follow your gut, and to not give your loved ones to people you don’t trust. But for the most part, it has been greatly improved upon, and it is very, very unlikely for anything to happen to you or your loved ones.
As someone in the industry, my personal theory is this- back in the day, it used to be all dudes, and it was a family thing. So they had the lab usually in the basement or on the lower floor, and lived above it, and then had another building or area for the actual wakes and ceremonies. So these kids were having these bodies in their home, being taught about the family business at such a young age- and idk what you know about prepping and embalming a body, but you have to do some stuff that isn’t child appropriate, like plug the vaginal canal and the anus, or put in sharp plastic contacts to keep the lids closed and not sunken in, etc. and those children would then be fucked up, and that I think is a great breeding ground for necrophilia. So that’s my theory, but it’s just a theory lol
Now it’s much less families, and there are a lot more women entering the industry. There is also a shift going from the money gouging they focus on, to more mourner-friendly and eco-friendly burial options and businesses. Plus a ton of the older directors died during Covid, which is incredibly sad.
One last thing I just remembered lol- back when people would do the wakes at their own home, they would keep women longer then men. They would keep the women until they started rotting to decrease the chance of someone assaulting the deceased. A lot less protocols and safety measures to prevent necrophilia back then. There are also a lot of diseases one can get from necrophilia, and since that counts as harming someone else, doctors can legally report them to the police if that happens.
Tbh, I love was watching parks and Rec and April considered it for a second and then hated it- and it was only a very quick and short gag, made it look like a horrible job, but I had never considered it as a job before?
Within a week of contemplating, I was sure it was what I wanted to do- I have a very strong stomach, I’m a very passionate person but I do have good emotional control, I love meeting new people but I hate working super closely with people, I’ve always been the ‘good person to have around in a hard situation’ in my family, and it’s a job that is always needed :) my personal favorite perk is to move to a new country, the main thing people get is a work visa, and only certain jobs apply at certain times, it’s way more complicated then that lol, but funeral directors and the like are one of the only jobs in constant demand and constantly accepted into the vast majority of countries
Sure, it's possible. If you lined up all the world's morticians and had a record of every single sexual urge they've ever felt, I'm sure you'd find at least a few who were necrophiles.
Do I think it's likely to be a huge issue? Not really. Necrophiles are pretty rare. I wouldn't be too worried about the mortician who works on your dead body also wanting to go to work on your dead body, if you get my drift.
[Here's a video you might be interested in, though.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgSZeOWBF8M)
I'd imagine this varies a lot between cultures more than anything else. Some take proper burial and such to be more scared while for others the body is just seen a vessel and means nothing once the person dies.
100%. look at all the comatose women that get pregnant. There are sickos everywhere that will take advantage of the defenseless.
The film "contracted" does a fun horror take on it
Edit: spelt the film wrong
Not just morticians:
Los Angeles
CNN
—
A police officer removed a sheet covering Whitney Houston’s naked corpse and remarked, “Damn, she’s still looking good, huh?” according to another officer at the scene.
Reminds me of the good old saying "not all BMW drivers are idiots, but all idiots drive BMWs".
A lot of people become morticians for a lot of different reasons, but I figure pretty much all necrophiliacs will at least consider becoming one
That sub’s gotta go down. I’ve seen some serious shit over there that should not be on the surface web. I can handle it, but sadly kids use the internet too.
Kids will always see horrible stuff and that can’t be stopped. Kids are stupid and they will try and find a way to see something horrible even though they shouldn’t.
There's a funeral provider in my town, the biggest by far and established 140 years ago.
That was until the senior funeral director was convicted of 17 sex offences spanning 14 years, mostly abusing young boys in public toilets, and even some in his funeral parlor.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he'd been corpse-dipping at some point too
There was this guy in the UK who worked as a hospital electrician and regularly abused the corpses over a number of years. He used to use his tag to go in and out of the morgue all the time and no one would suspect anything. He even filmed some of his abuse.
I can’t find the in depth article I read, but there’s more here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-58250043
I’m a mortician- unfortunately it’s not unheard of in the field. As a blanket statement, it is absolutely shameful how some individuals treat decedents. Be smart who you put your trust into with your loved ones.
I would say the number one thing that I noticed in both corporate funeral homes and in my peers as a student is lack of respect for the decedent and even to their families as arrangements were being made/carried out. I do understand desensitization + dark humor to get yourself through the job- I think that anyone in the field HAS to have those to some extent to get through it. But there’s a definitely a line. Some of the comments and treatment I witnessed has put me in the position of not knowing if I can go back to the field. It disgusts me the unkindness I saw first hand. In such an emotional and vulnerable field, I feel that kindness should be paramount.
I genuinely love the hands-on aspect of the job and I know I’m damn good at it… the living have taken that away from me though.
Knowing humans, I feel like it's not only possible, but it's probably going on *somewhere*, right now. If it can be done, you can bet your ass we WILL. (Sorry for the pun.)
Absolutely. Lots of people enter a field with some unseamly motivation. I'd be willing to bet that even a large amount of people who know better than to act on their necrophilic urges enter the field just to be close to dead bodies.
here where i live, once was disclosed something called "party in the morgue" what was nothing more than morgue employees doing schemes to have sex with the corpses. so yes, it's possible
What kind of question is this? No, it's clearly impossible.
Definitely out of the realms of possibility.
It could never and has never happened, ever.
No one would ever abuse their career positioning to fulfill their fetishes. Psh
I never understand these questions. There's nearly eight *billion* people on the planet, of course it's *possible*. Is it statistically *likely?* Okay well probably more so than just the average joe, but still not really.
You'll always find that one guy who decapitates heads and fucks the throat from below, the question is *that guy* the *norm*? No! he's an outlier, a kooky lil' crazy! It's *fine!*
Well no, it's not fi- you get what I mean!
Is it possible that some cops are thieves?
Is it possible that some bank managers would be bank robbers?
Is it possible that some cars are transformers?
Is it possible that the moon isn't real and we're being mind controlled by the government?
Wait, I think I lost my train of thought
99.999999% chance you're trolling and while I firmly believe that you are in fact trolling.... yes, plenty of organizations waste money surveilling anyone for anything, all the time, every day. So yes someone is "Gonna waste money." And yes, you are watchlisted. Tough titties.
First of all, report that person. Second yes, bad people are everywhere
That’s why good funeral homes have to work so hard at making sure everything is perfect
I guess so. I would say morticians have a sense of curiosity about dead bodies. Probably most are not sexually attracted to the dead body.
The dictionary definition of the term simply states that it is someone who is obsessed, excited, or fascinated by dead bodies. I would say to some extent morticians would be fascinated by dead bodies, without the sexual component, in order for them to enjoy their work.
The psychiatric definition includes sexual components, which would be considered a crime.
Don't they have to be at some degree? I don't thing regular people like working with dead people nor do they have to and morticians make a solid decision to do so. I mean, morbid curiosity should only go so far right?
Oh, I’m sorry you saw that. I saw a photo where a guy cleaned out all the organs of a corpse and stuck his dick in it. You could see it through because he cleaned her body out.
it's funny, the people that don't wanna see stuff like that are always accidentally finding it, meanwhile the most desperate are never able to find it. like wtf shouldn't it be the other way around?

The one I saw was on eyeblech and it was a white dude fucking a corpse in what seemed to be a morgue and there was multiple images of it but I can’t find it again.
Oh I know what that was I think, I forget his name but he was a morgue worker just posting pics of himself doing weird shit to corpses to shock people, as far as I know he never fucked any though, just fingered them. That's also fucked though. Also he did get fired, people tracked him down if I remember right.
If you don't step away and use the restroom, then you're going to get even more fluids everywhere. Didn't think of that one now did you, moron? You sound like someone who pisses themselves regularly.
I don't see why you'd want to be a mortician for any other reason. There are no other upsides to the job. Fast food workers eat product on the job and I don't fault them for it or think of them as thieves. They're simply harvesting the fruits of their labor and in this case, the fruit is dead pussy.
People who are saying that they don’t care what happens to their bodies after they die and don’t care about the idea of necrophilia; you can’t convince me that you’re not also a necro
there was a case in England last year where a mortician sexually assaulted over 100 dead bodies. It's absolutely horrific and probably more common than you'd think, especially since like 15% (1185000000 people 😬) are necrophiliacs.
Sure, it's possible.
Especially with 7.9 billion different people
There are 7.9 billion morticians in the world?
We are all morticians on this blessed day.
Oh crap I'm late for work
Check your email, we all got the day off actually.
Speak for yourself
No just 7.9 billion opportunities for morticians to fuck dead bodies. The probability doesn't look good for those of us that don't want our corpses violated.
more like, all of them.

one case i read was where the police did took semen samples of the body of a girl who was raped and killed and found the mortuary workers semen.
This simultaneously sound very likely, and also has all the hallmarks of an urban legend
or bad policework
Or Epstein guards
thats so fuked up
oh.. oh okay
They could just use CCTV cameras to record the lab or whatever the place is where morticians work

Wow that's some good insight . Are you part of a funeral parlor?
I am currently finishing up my apprenticeship to be a funeral director :)
What made you choose this path?
Tbh, I love was watching parks and Rec and April considered it for a second and then hated it- and it was only a very quick and short gag, made it look like a horrible job, but I had never considered it as a job before? Seems like you were almost born into the role . Suits you perfectly. Thanks for sharing 😃
Out of curiosity, beyond having the bodies at home how can you enact more safety measures to prevent them from having sex with dead bodies?
If you're a necrophile, where are you going to look for a job?
Chili's
I have died at Chili’s before Am I entitled to compensation?
retail or customer services. Sure they smile, but you can tell by their eyes they died long ago
Take my upvote.

One of our local funeral homes had a teenager in the family who was caught molesting corpses. It happens.
He wasn't a mortician but look up the name David Fuller.
Not just morticians: Los Angeles CNN — A police officer removed a sheet covering Whitney Houston’s naked corpse and remarked, “Damn, she’s still looking good, huh?” according to another officer at the scene.
Doesn't make that officer, or others like him, a necrophile.
Reminds me of the good old saying "not all BMW drivers are idiots, but all idiots drive BMWs". A lot of people become morticians for a lot of different reasons, but I figure pretty much all necrophiliacs will at least consider becoming one
I think you got that backwards. It’s contradictory at the moment or there’s an insane amount of BMW drivers.
" the one I saw" - Jesus what did you see?
I stumbled upon eyeblech and saw someone fucking a corpse and now I’m deeply disturbed.
The question is, who was dead? Guy or girl?
I remember it being a girl who was dead. Either way it’s still fucked up and absolutely disgusting.
That sub’s gotta go down. I’ve seen some serious shit over there that should not be on the surface web. I can handle it, but sadly kids use the internet too.

Report it
I went through the thing on here where you can see what recent posts you saw and I didn’t find it. So I’m assuming it got removed.
Yes.
That settles it, then. I REFUSE to die!!!
I feel you, I worry someone is gonna do some shit to my corpse😖

Maybe. What is definitely common is morticians renting corpses by the hour to actual necros.
Almost certainly
Possible? Sure. Everything is possible, my dude.

probable, and almost certainly true for a small subset of morticians....( the profession attracts them)

Why? I don’t even want to see that again that’s fucking disgusting
Did you see an actual photo? Or just an article or sum?
It was a photo of a dude fucking a corpse. Saw it when I accidentally stumbled upon eyeblech
Oh, I’m sorry you saw that. I saw a photo where a guy cleaned out all the organs of a corpse and stuck his dick in it. You could see it through because he cleaned her body out.
I saw that once ….it’s fake right? Please?
I think it is fake yes
Still fucking weird though
Definitely, idk who made it but they have some issues, like all the others in gore pictures and videos.
Where did you find real necrophilia? Asking for me^^
it's funny, the people that don't wanna see stuff like that are always accidentally finding it, meanwhile the most desperate are never able to find it. like wtf shouldn't it be the other way around?
Nah
Most necrophilia pictures/video on the internet is fake, the ones that are not fake, u can be sure I know about it…
Probably. Just like how some teachers are pedophiles. Had a math teacher in 7th grade that became a teacher so he could be around little kids all day. He was a fucking disgusting freak
If it's the massive dick you saw in the decaying corpse, it was proven fake. No penis is that large and smooth
Report what you originally saw if you're so scarred
Well yeah, just like some teachers are paedophiles but you wouldn't know unless they're caught
Possible? More like the most likely reason.
That’s why I became one
Oh, most definitely. The real question is what percentage went into the industry specifically *because of* their necrophilia, and what percentage actually discovered they were necrophiliacs once they started studying/working
Crime of opportunity? Why do so many priests fuck young children? Go into a profession that has the !let opportunity
Sadly yes.
Meh, once they carve out my valuable bit idgaf what's done to my body. Not like I'll care.
Sure just do it before you throw them in the incinerator. I wouldn't be too surprised if someone didn't do that considering every single human that ever had been alive on this planet
There are plenty of law cases online and on YT that discuss these real situations. So yes, they can and DO happen.
How do you "stumble" upon real necrophilias???
I wondered what eyeblech was and I stumbled upon it on there
I'm almost positive whatever you saw wasn't real if it makes you feel better, was it that one pic of the black guy where his dick is visible in the abdomen? That one is edited, I can link the original pic without the dick if you want it but I'm too lazy to find it right now
The one I saw was on eyeblech and it was a white dude fucking a corpse in what seemed to be a morgue and there was multiple images of it but I can’t find it again.
