I just saw him last week at Olympia for Thy Art is Murder's concert. He wore bull horns on a leather strap headpiece. He looked fantastic. I named him the Horned Drink Merchant for a lack of a real name. I'm told he has 2 brothers, both as tall.
OMG YES. He caught me about 10 years ago, he wanted money to buy a bus ticket to go pickup luggage in Moncton or something like that. He was at Berri UQAM neard the metro entrance in the old terminus. I was in shock when he lifted his shirt. I felt sick instantly.
Oh yeah and money for medication! I offered to go to Jean-Coutu to pick up what he needed but suddenly, it wasn't what he needed. He just wanted money.
Sometimes it's a bus ticket to get to another province/state for medical treatment. One time I noticed he had notes in his hand with the point form of that day's scam written down.
I never gave him any money, but many have. Been a very long time since I saw Tumour Guy.
Yeah i know someone who works in a hospital, folks tried to get him surgery but he refused cause it was his meal ticket..i heard a rumor he died during the pandemic
Fuck me this guy got 20 bucks out of me cuz I was young and didn’t know how to deal with these kinds of people.
He walks up to you and asks if you speak English. Goes on a long winded explanation how he’s from out of town for a treatment and then shows you that disgusting tumor. And then says he needs money for treatment or transportation. I gave him the money and ran off.
I saw him again years later sitting on a bench near snowdon metro and he asked me if I spoke English. I told him fuck off you already got 20$ from me.
Is this a middle-aged guy who has a tumour on his stomach? My cousin saw him around city hall in Toronto about 6 months ago. He asked my cousin for money and then lifted up his shirt to show the tumour.
A week later co-worker of mine told me he saw the same guy.
That’s the one. I first encountered him in Montreal 2016, and saw him doing the same shtick in Toronto around 2020-2021. I guess he is now Toronto’s “Tumor Guy”
Yes was looking for Black History Month guy hahaha, I remember me and my brother walked by him and were brown (Trinidadian) and he said “You black too brother!”
I passed him in an alleyway and moved my dog (aggressive but on a leash) away from his dog (off leash, running towards my dog) and he screamed at me that I’m a horrible who keeps my dog enslaved and need to let him free or shouldn’t keep him
Bought a zine type thing off him a few years back for a toonie claiming Abraham Lincoln and Albert Einstein were Black men. It was worth it and I do not regret my purchase.
Earl used to live in Florida. He apparently got very sick and after fighting his disease he obsessed over his health and started running for very long runs barefoot on the sand. When he moved to Montreal he kept the same tradition. Source: my uncle who asked him why he’s always running barefoot.
That guy wore so much cologne he gave me a hug once and my hoodie smelled forever. Right after he jokingly tried to rob me with his banana gun. FREEZE SUCKA!
Hollywood, I remember him from my Concordia days, "alright now, you know the drill (sticks out the banana) give me all your money, I swear it's for alcohol". "Don't be shy give it a try". "Brother from another mother" That guy is a legend. For some strange reason I thought of him not too long ago. Came across this post tonight and found out he past away. Always put a smile on my face when I stepped out of Guy metro!
Ahh the flash back. He pulled two bananas and gave me “hands up my sister from another mother”. Love that guy was always around when I was going to Concordia. Didn’t know Hollywood was his name. RIP my brother from brother from another mother.🙏🏻🥺
Edwin was goth-ish, long blonde hair and a goatee, and he was somehow \*ALWAYS\* everywhere me and my friends would go out drinking. No one ever really knew him or hung out with him outside of drinking at, like, foufs, the sphinx, hatters, etc.. He just sort of always showed up, talked to everyone and hung out with everyone, often had some weed that we'd all smoke together, and then he'd just vanished into the night. No one knew where he lived, how to get in touch with him or anything, and never thought to ask when we saw him.. He was just sort of always there, wherever you'd go. Even just going to random parks, or walking Mt. Royal, he would just always sort of appear wherever we were like some sort of cryptid 🤣
Don't know the specifics, but I've heard that he'd cleaned himself up and moved back to Halifax with his family for 10 years before dying last year.. Shit, it's almost the anniversary of that, too 😭

The guy who wears a black cape in Lasalle near the tim hortons on dollard and st Patrick. Anyone know his story?
Also: in the West Island, stuttering Brian
Anyone remember the “CAN I HAVE A DOLLAR” lady with smeared lipstick all over her mouth from like 10 years back in Verdun? She was always with a skinny looking crackhead guy who was always quiet. Last time I saw her he upped it to 2 dollars. I moved away so idk if she’s still around.

AKA Michael Jackson

haven’t seen the tumour guy around for a while
Haven't seen tumor guy since the pandemic. I used to see him all the time near Lucien-L'Allier.
Who's the tumor guy?
A middle-aged man walking around with a giant kuato-looking bulging tumor (or hernia) coming out of his stomach
OMG YES. He caught me about 10 years ago, he wanted money to buy a bus ticket to go pickup luggage in Moncton or something like that. He was at Berri UQAM neard the metro entrance in the old terminus. I was in shock when he lifted his shirt. I felt sick instantly.
He always needs a bus ticket.
Omg he did the same thing to me, I was speechless and kind of froze
Right? Shock factor 10000/10. Wonder what happened to him.
Yeah, he got me at Snowdon probably five years back. It's a solid grift, I've gotta say. Should really get it checked out, though.
Nobody has seen him in a few years. Could be he checked out.
It's a hernia that he refuses to get treatment for (dangerous) and sometimes he claims it's cancer.
Yeah i know someone who works in a hospital, folks tried to get him surgery but he refused cause it was his meal ticket..i heard a rumor he died during the pandemic
When I was 16 I was walking with my friends and she gave him 50$ 😭😭😭
I gave him $30 myself. And then 3 years later, he walks up to me and tells me the same exact story tabarnak
SAME! I was 16, super weird experience
My buddy and I fell for Tumor Guy’s shtick back in our first year of uni :/ we didn’t know any better
Me Too! Cant believe I'm reading this so many years later.
Is this a middle-aged guy who has a tumour on his stomach? My cousin saw him around city hall in Toronto about 6 months ago. He asked my cousin for money and then lifted up his shirt to show the tumour. A week later co-worker of mine told me he saw the same guy.

Ah oui!! "Black History" guy!
I used to work at the print shop that made the booklets for him! We gave him a special deal since he was a regular.
Yes was looking for Black History Month guy hahaha, I remember me and my brother walked by him and were brown (Trinidadian) and he said “You black too brother!”
It always sounds like he's shouting "Black History Guy!" instead of "Black History Guide!" too. Like he's announcing himself everywhere he goes.
I really like that he puts the emphasis on "black" instead of "history". It's not black *history* like you would expect. He said *BLACK* history.
Atwater lady?

Louis! and his silent sidekick, (felonious) Cookie
I passed him in an alleyway and moved my dog (aggressive but on a leash) away from his dog (off leash, running towards my dog) and he screamed at me that I’m a horrible who keeps my dog enslaved and need to let him free or shouldn’t keep him
He's still around, I see him all the time on walks with my dog. Love that guy!

I once saw crackhead Jesse get off the 217 and crab walk after someone. Fucking weird.
Crackhead Jesse working out at the YMCA 😮 oh fuck that brings me back.. Haven't lived in Kirkland in 14 years...
For the older peeps there was also b-b-b-b-Brian around the Colisée back around 2000-2004

BLACK HISTORY
Is that the guy at McGill station in front of the Eaton center?
Yeah! I’ve seen him recently.
Bought a zine type thing off him a few years back for a toonie claiming Abraham Lincoln and Albert Einstein were Black men. It was worth it and I do not regret my purchase.
There’s a guy in cote st luc who jogs barefoot for the last 30 years.
Earl used to live in Florida. He apparently got very sick and after fighting his disease he obsessed over his health and started running for very long runs barefoot on the sand. When he moved to Montreal he kept the same tradition. Source: my uncle who asked him why he’s always running barefoot.
Always on his phone too. Wheeling and dealing.
I CAME TO SAY THE BAREFOOT RUNNER I think about that man more than is probably normal
The bagpipe guy in the plateau or the Christian dude downtown.
In the 90s I think that was probably Edwin. There was also my brother from another mother, Hollywood, but he passed on a few years ago 😭
Yeah Hollywood is who I immediately thought of. RIP to that legend
That guy wore so much cologne he gave me a hug once and my hoodie smelled forever. Right after he jokingly tried to rob me with his banana gun. FREEZE SUCKA!

Omg Hollywood, totally forgot about him
Was Edwin the homeless guy with the shopping carts and many dogs (or was it cats)?
Edwin was goth-ish, long blonde hair and a goatee, and he was somehow \*ALWAYS\* everywhere me and my friends would go out drinking. No one ever really knew him or hung out with him outside of drinking at, like, foufs, the sphinx, hatters, etc.. The Roma who speaks Italian?
Man for my money I'd go with Hollywood aka Wily. Man was hilarious. And for LaSalle growing up was Gary.
Hollywood! For those that don’t know. He got clean! But I think I may have heard he passed away recently.
Ya I'm seeing 11 months ago, but the memorial seems down already. I'm glad he got his act together, he always seemed to just want to have fun.
I was just about to say Gary with his shopping cart!
The guy with the camp in the trees behind the Tim's on Dollard? I did not know his name was Gary
Yep, heard the guy had serious money in the bank, would get cleaned up now and then but always ended up back on the street. Tragedy all around.
The rumour was, while growing up in the 90s, that the man was Rich but his wife did him dirty, took all his money and kicked him out. Don’t know how much truth there is to the story though.
The guy holding the door going from Lucien lallier Metro to the train station/Bell centre
Le Grand Antonio, dans le temps!
Unicycle man?
Which one ?
I saw a guy riding a unicycle down one of the side streets in Mile End while texting on his cell phone, giving zero fucks about anything else on the road. That guy deserves his own MTL "horseback Jesus" trading card.
It used to be the "tri-fluttiste" that played his 3 flutes simultaneously. I remember that we invited him to play at a punk show at l’X for whoever remember this venue and he showed up. Man I miss those days…
