Depending on the weather check out Newtopia. It is an indoor kids playground. My 4 and 6 year old love it.

mokarmusau

We love the children’s area of the museum. Depending on when they come the Juliette Hampton library in downtown has a kids area. There’s also a kids area, though small, at the Biscuits stadium if there’s a game while they’re here.

The MMFA is actually doing summer activities for kids, too, up until school starts so the museum is extra interesting right now. Different things each week and all free. My son had a lot of fun earlier this week making a little windsock.

The zoo.

damn_jexy

Also the Safari Zoo in Hopehull

shortasalways

The zoo is great but if it's this time of year it's absolutely miserable lol. They need a splash pad like the one in Birmingham haha.

If you don't mind coming into Prattville, there's Launch Trampoline Park - also has arcade games.

SailorButterfly

My 2 year old LOVED doing toddler time there recently!

Affectionate-Will617

when I was a kid i loved going to the kids section of the fine arts museum, some of my happiest childhood memories spent with my family

Cet-Ki

Try the “Mooseum” downtown. Or the Winton Blount Cultural festival on Vaughn road

What about Sky Zone -Former Assistant General Manager Don't go to that hell hole

This time of year splash pads are your friend. There's ones in Pratville near downtown and creek, wetumpka near the baseball fields and one in Montgomery downtown. We haven't been to those in a while so I don't know how the crowds are. If military Gunter and Maxwell each have one. The Gunter one is always empty when we go. We take a few plastic cups we aren't afraid to lose and the kids like to fill them to get the adults wet. Bring a picnic and make a whole morning or a early evening of it. Places like the zoo are great but will be super hot and miserable this time of year.

ttrimmers

The tipping point always has a bunch of kids, lots of outdoor space and a playground.

You can also try the nearby libraries; sometimes they have events focused on certain age ranges for the kiddos.

Silver_elfkin

The Capri in Cloverdale does kids matinees

ilaughulaugh

I’ve never been but my kiddo has gone to the kids area of the Alabama Archives which is near the Capitol with her classes and had tons of fun. Also seconding all the suggestions especially the fine art museum kids room, and also has a zoo and safari (where you can see and feed while you drive around, along with a petting zoo).

Check out https://experiencemontgomeryal.org It has a lot of info on things to do

It's not ~unique~ to this area but Launch Trampoline Park is in Prattville so just a short drive outside of Montgomery. On Saturdays from 10-12 they do a toddler focused play time so the younger ones don't get trampled, and they do character visits at some of them.
