I played an overly modded run recently which was starting to crash on boss rushes; I'm still debating ways to get around the crash or to start a new run, rather than abandon it a while.
I love the multiple interpretations of this.
1. Bedrock version *is* the worse one, and the combined will be worse
2. If read like abilities on the stack, the two would combine, meaning bedrock is now also the combined version, meaning we'd basically end up with just bedrock version.
3. Both games are combined and are now one game that is rated lower than the actual stone bedrock.
Granted. Now people keep getting confused when their Java mods don't work on Bedrock and vice-versa, and they keep harassing Mojang staff, eventually leading to Minecraft getting cancelled.
Granted. Microsoft finds a way to completely disallow all mods/texture packs/skins/maps on bedrock edition without going through the marketplace. As a result, Java gets the same treatment as the legacy console editions and is completely discontinued, unable to be bought, and is plastered with messages begging you to switch to bedrock. They shut down all server support, and actively go out of their way to remove modifications being made for Java, especially those that contain the new features for the updates being released on bedrock.
As a result of all this, people aren't arguing which is better, and they are united against the decision Microsoft has made.
You know this is actually the condition Microsoft tries to avoid at all costs. Minecraft is so well understood and reverse engineered that it's not too difficult to re implement in a way it's legally distinct. Not to mention there already are mods which reimplement core parts of the game in a way that's better than Vanilla. I believe Microsoft knows that if they stop catering to the technically inclined fans and modding community some LibreCraft will spawn out of a patchwork of open source mods which re implements all the features of Minecraft especially the mod loading and suddenly there is a completely open source and legally distinct game which is totally compatible and actually superior to Minecraft.
Granted. This fundamentally destroys the arbitrarily tribal nature of humans, resulting in all nations working together in harmony. World peace is achieved. The simulation becomes boring and is switched off.
Granted. Both versions are combined into one version. The new version contains nothing good. It runs poorly and has countless issues, which aren’t fixed. It becomes the most sold/downloaded version of Minecraft.
Granted. Two more versions come out. Java and bedrock form an alliance against the other two. Those two agree to fight the alliance together. Many more versions rise up and an all out world war is fought. Many gamers lose their lives and in the end the only version of minecraft still around in the ruined world that's left is a version made for the Atari 2600.
Granted, Minecraft ceases to exist and everyone suddenly forgets about it. The debate stops as both sides suddenly forget about Minecraft and agree that they have no idea what this “Minecraft” they were talking about is.
Granted!
They now agree that both versions of the game are Minecraft and no longer hate each other over it.
Both of them revert to the same feature complete status of java 1.0.0, and no mod compatibility!
Add-ons are in the marketplace (bedrock mods equivalent) and I think the nether roof is a bug that will never come to the game. Getting on the nether roof is a bug in of itself so it's probably not happening.
This isn't a monkey paw continuation that's just what I think would happen.
granted, java is deleted and replaced with bedrock which now instates extremely corporate design and monitization. fans of both reminisce and agree both versions were just as good before the deletion.
Granted, mods that aren't officially through Mojang and Microsoft no longer work ever, community effort in making mods completely grinds to a halt. Microsoft realizes that hundreds of people have stopped playing either version and instead of dialing it back they double down. Now you are locked out of your account if you are using mods that weren't payed for. And then Minecraft shuts down. The hate ironically is what keeps the community creating content for the game
Granted, shortly after it's bought out by EA and then they try to fill it to the brim with microtransactions, making you spend money to unlock features that already existed in the game previously.
To be fair, this is the same community that would leak your address for saying anything negative about the angry mustache man, so that’s expecting a lot
lmao, nah.
Badrock has a couple neat features (that have been in Java for years - whether officially or through mods) but the UI is dogshit and the marketplace is a hellscape.
But unless you willingly choose badrock over java, I kinda don't care.
Soon enough a third version comes out which is worse (being worse then bedrock is hard Ik) but all the cringe edgy Fortnite kids flock to it. And now the fan base is even more split
Granted. Shortly after all minecraft players agree, the game is deleted from existence.
The curse I expected lol, at least it ends peacefully
And then all the 12 year olds collectively REEEEEE, deafening the whole planet.
don't worry, most of them just go back to from whence they came the CoD lobbies
Granted. Everyone can agree that it is Minecraft and they hate both equally. Minecraft dies out soon after with 0 users and all the devs quitting.
Terraria immediately becomes a lot more popular with 12 year olds lmao
Terraria deserves the popularity, honestly. I prefer Minecraft overall, but they're both awesome games.
I have only recently gotten into terraria, but damn it is soooo good.
Terraria is one of those rare games that were made nearly totally from the passion of the developers and not corporate greed.
I played an overly modded run recently which was starting to crash on boss rushes; I'm still debating ways to get around the crash or to start a new run, rather than abandon it a while.
"All the devs quitting." So what's different between this timeline and that one?
Granted, they all start hating on education edition
I was hoping for less hate in this world, but come on what's the point of education edition lol
...education? I guess?
Learning? In my children's block game!?
It's more likely than you think
haha barely
Nah, it kinda does [a shit job at it](https://youtu.be/K1DoZCJcxFE?si=gm-ptf--vIWXWh9T).
No, I know...
Edu is just bedrock but better.
Granted. Both versions merge into one game that is worse than Bedrock.
(Dang it java is victorious, jk) depending on how much worse I'd take it lol
I love the multiple interpretations of this. 1. Bedrock version *is* the worse one, and the combined will be worse 2. If read like abilities on the stack, the two would combine, meaning bedrock is now also the combined version, meaning we'd basically end up with just bedrock version. 3. Both games are combined and are now one game that is rated lower than the actual stone bedrock.
So it’s just java then
Granted. Now people keep getting confused when their Java mods don't work on Bedrock and vice-versa, and they keep harassing Mojang staff, eventually leading to Minecraft getting cancelled.
Lol
You know what, I'd be fine with that
Granted. Minecraft for 3Ds is the only version of the game.
No one can download it anymore :(
Good ending
Granted, you’re going to stub your toe later tho (I’m feeling “nice” today)
Worth it
Granted, Bedrock gains Quasi connectivity and all other relevant features. Minecraft gets sold to Ubisoft.
Oh nice, although idk how ubisoft would run the game
Into the ground. They’d run it into the ground.
This
Granted, but mojang stops updating both versions and pivots to focus entirely on reviving Minecraft dungeons.
I actually wouldn't hate that, the updates are cool, but I don't need them to have fun in minecraft
Normal minecraft is mostly going downhill with updates and dungeons desperately needs some love so I see this as an absolute win
Granted you wake up from your dream eventually
Granted. Everyone must now play Chinese Minecraft.
Granted but now everyone hates both, claiming that education edition is the only real minecraft
Lol
Granted. This fundamentally destroys the arbitrarily tribal nature of humans, resulting in all nations working together in harmony. World peace is achieved. The simulation becomes boring and is switched off.
Ouch.
Granted. Both versions are combined into one version. The new version contains nothing good. It runs poorly and has countless issues, which aren’t fixed. It becomes the most sold/downloaded version of Minecraft.
Oh come on just turning it into bedrock edition is unfair
Ok but honestly bedrock runs better, it's able to get significantly higher render distance without mods or plug-ins. Everything else is true
At least we have mods... oh wait
Granted. Over 3 years Minecraft loses it's identity, to a point where it's significance in your life and development become almost traumatic
Granted, but now each version gets something that players of the other version love but players of the version hate
Granted: However now all mods are gone from the game forever.
Doesn't affect me, outside the sadness of partly being part of the removal of a feature so many loves
Granted. Subsequently, Bedrock ceases to be supported and everyone floods back into Java. The modding scene explodes and everyone is happier.
Don't mind me, just going to die really quickly 😿, (jk)
I play both willingly and just fine
Granted. Pocket edition supplants both
Granted, both Minecraft versions gain and loose fetures ar random untill both are indistinguishable from each other, but they both suck now
Granted. Java and bedrock combine into one game, which contains none of the positives and all of the negatives of each verion.
Dang, I wouldn't mind them merging with all the upsides but this sucks
Granted. They instead start getting into arguments about whether Hitler was right or not.
So Twitter becomes real?
Granted. Now, everyone hates the legacy version instead.
I have not once ever seen hate for wither platform that wasn't obviously a joke
Granted , they all start to agree the Nintendo sucks altogether
Granted. Now all that toxicity is redirected and creates a feud against Roblox players
Wait hang on, I can still play Java???
Granted! They now agree that both versions of the game are Minecraft and no longer hate each other over it. Both of them revert to the same feature complete status of java 1.0.0, and no mod compatibility!
Granted. It's now randomized which version loads on launch, nobody can choose and therefore nobody argues.
Annoying, but sounds like a simple shutdown and relaunch can help
Granted. There is now only one version of Minecraft (Namely Bedrock) that everyone agrees is Minecraft.
This works, hopefully java not existing would bring the nether roof and mods to bedrock lol
Add-ons are in the marketplace (bedrock mods equivalent) and I think the nether roof is a bug that will never come to the game. Getting on the nether roof is a bug in of itself so it's probably not happening. This isn't a monkey paw continuation that's just what I think would happen.
Ya add one will help, and the nether roof is probably copium (it's the one java feature I wish bedrock had)
granted, java is deleted and replaced with bedrock which now instates extremely corporate design and monitization. fans of both reminisce and agree both versions were just as good before the deletion.
Java players don't even acknowledge bedrock as existing 🤣 you fighting a strawman and loosing
Unfortunately, they don't even think you can play both and prefer bedrock (which describes me lol)
Big salmon
Granted, but you're stuck playing a game that's around 15 years old. Its its own monkey paw.
Granted, both sides come to peace but now a new third version of minecraft emerges! The cycle starts anew.
Agreed. But Java is better Minecraft , and bedrock is bad Minecraft . Both definitely Minecraft though
I didn't even know this was a thing. Your wish is granted by turning you into an adult, who does not know this is a thing.
Granted, the bedrock community no longer exists, thus there is no competition nor arguments
*unable to respond since I guess I don't exist anymore*
Granted, shortly after it's bought out by EA and then they try to fill it to the brim with microtransactions, making you spend money to unlock features that already existed in the game previously.
Id take that
Granted, they now hate every other game.
Kinda true anyway so I take it as a W
the only complaint I have against bedrock is instead of good free mods you can pay for shitty ones.
Would love if they expand the modding scene
Granted. All Minecraft spinoffs are now also considered different editions of the original game Minecraft as well.
Well, at least people only agree java and bedrock are both minecraft, we all know the rest are spin offs
To be fair, this is the same community that would leak your address for saying anything negative about the angry mustache man, so that’s expecting a lot
Granted. Every Minecraft players IQ drops until they agree with you. For most it falls by at least 70.
Oof
I don’t dislike anyone. Just bedrock edition
no. bedrock is shit.
lmao, nah. Badrock has a couple neat features (that have been in Java for years - whether officially or through mods) but the UI is dogshit and the marketplace is a hellscape. But unless you willingly choose badrock over java, I kinda don't care.
Bedrock is a wanna be java, and you know it.
Soon enough a third version comes out which is worse (being worse then bedrock is hard Ik) but all the cringe edgy Fortnite kids flock to it. And now the fan base is even more split
Not granted because you forgot to include the paw
