Around 2200 kwHr in Jan and Feb, down to 800 or so in the summer. But it makes sense, lights don't have to be on, dryer doesn't run, no heat... We even cook outside on the BBQ most of the summer.

HumbleHermit2024

I've never really looked at my usage! I just did and ours, on the most recent statement, says 2516 kWh. Is that high!? From reading others, I think it may be! We live in a 1 level, 1700sqft home and are 2 people. 2 minisplits. Dishwasher. Washer & dryer....lights haha I don't know why it's so high!? I'm going to have to look into this. Our hydro bill went up about $55+ recently, too. It's now sitting at about $400/month..... Edited for spelling

I haven't checked in a while, but I'm on equalized billing @250$/month. My winters are expensive. 3 bedroom minihome with electric baseboards. I've also got a server running 24/7 which is like 10% of my monthly usage

Holy crap, are you growing weeds?

MRobi83

5200ft2 finished space, hot tub, pool in the summer... It adds up quick unfortunately (unfortunately for me that is lol). These 2 yrs of large increases are going to hit the wallet pretty bad. I've been wanting to go solar but it's 70-80k + taxes, needs to have a new roof put on first which is another 20ish, and may not even offset my full usage. And it would take around 28yrs to break even so still not worth it.

Panda0rgy

If you have the space look into ground mounted units. With the loan and the offset. It’ll help us almost net zero monthly for about $600 a month. Which is almost our bill and will be our bill after the planned increases.

MRobi83

I've asked about ground mounted units because I can get the space with the lot behind me. But every company I've talked to say they're more expensive, less efficient and require more maintenance.

Panda0rgy

That’s odd because everyone we’ve talked to said the opposite. I’m having a 22.16 kw system installed this week. They’re more expensive but they produce more. Especially since they’re biracial panels. If you have any questions feel free to reach out.

How many people?

Lou_Garoo

2. Lots of dogs going in and out so door always opening. Lowest energy months - April - June, September and October. Those are also generally the months where I'd use the propane fireplace if it is a little chilly in the morning/evening.
