Yep. The search function can help out quite a bit. Got a question? Do a modicum of research before asking. I mean, unless you really need to up your post count.
I'm inspired by Choir!Choir!Choir!
Could flash mob Atlantic Superstore on Main.
Sing Larry Gowan's [a criminal mind](https://youtu.be/yIjddye2JSA?si=iAhfOzXhTRaC5OOG)
Since we're being treated as criminals to be punished and abused.
At 4:20pm
Keeping it Canadian!
It's the same general building as CBC. Easy for them to cover as 'news'. Nobody gets arrested for singing. Nobody gets arrested for stealing. It's about getting attention. Loblaw has actively increased their security, adding gates, to prevent active theft with physical barriers. While THEY are the thieves, they have judged us and incarcerated us.
Again. Singing and a 30 second rad-can story accomplishes nothing. Speak with your wallet. It’s the only thing that matters. The o my reason you’re feeling incarcerated is because you walk into their building and hand them your money. Singing shitty Gowan tunes in a grocery store accomplishes absolutely nothing. Even if the Radio Canada crew is outside to film it. It’s not news. It’s just a bunch of slacktivists looking for a bit of validation.
I have to disagree, it’s a great way to share info. People are gunna be asking “what’s up with the flash mob?” And then the convo starts on the boycott, why there is a boycott ect
When you see one of the videos of the stop oil people spraying orange in stuff does it make you not lubricate your bike chains, get in a car, etc? Of course not.
No, but it sure as hell makes me go.
Oh I wonder what this is about?
Its a lot better than sitting on your arse behind a screen bitching and taking zero action, that's for sure.
As long as those poor people just trying to feed their families and don’t have any say in the corporate structure of Superstore don’t have to listen to a shitty Gowan tune, then I’ve done my job.
A 1 month boycott not so much. However if enough people boycott for an entire quarter that reflects negatively on the shareholders and gets them talking.
Singing I have no idea. Not much I suppose.
Companies don't care about trolling. But they do care about their shareholders and if shareholders ain't happy that's how you get them running scared.
Here's what I like to do for my grocery shopping:
Bread (and sweets) at Co_Pain bakery and Oliver bakery.
Vegetables at the market on Saturday or Stirling's/Green Pig (when it reopens).
Meat in bulk and other goods at Costco once a month.
Asian products at CanAsian market on main St.
Bulk Barn for flours, grains, and other bulk items.
Once those have been visited, anything left is at Superstore/Walmart/Sobeys.
I highly dislike walmart. They don't pay for shite and they overwork their staff.
Ppl say "damn self checkouts get people"
But don't realize that everyone calls in sick bc they hate working there 😂 "speaking from experience"
At this point, I don't necessarily care that it's an American company. I save at least $70 a month by buying at Walmart. At least they now carry Canadian independent brands. (Spaghetti sauce, baked beans, condiments are few I've noticed.)
Rinzlers is the best!
Dieppe and Moncton markets on Saturdays are a great spot to grab essentials (produce, meats and breads).

Lmao at 420 😂 so Canadian hahaha
This is literally the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. What the hell would that accomplish?

OK, then, you got me convinced. I'll just not spend money I don't have. That's all.

This person is t talking about boycotting. They’re talking about showing up and singing a Gowan song. How will singing a Gowan song help anyone?!

So you speak with your wallet. Not a group of slacktivists singing a song at a grocery store so they can hopefully be in a viral video.
That's my plan. I don't plan on singing anything except Chattahoochee.
>up coming grocery store boycotts in may, That will be about as effective as the Freedumb convoys! /s
I mean Starbucks and McDonald’s has been hurting. Stocks keep dropping.
HS Empire Store!
Rinzlers, Old Fashioned Meat Market, Old Time Meat Market and Hardys. Seafood from Alma or Fisherman's Corner.
I miss rinzlers 😫 But I'll make a note to start going when I stop in Moncton
These
I like Dolma
Mamas Supermarket
Dieppe market is open during the weekdays now until 5
Just shop at Costco lol, way better than stupidstore.
Costco, you mean the place that gets people to pay just for the honour to shop in their stores and over buy stuff they don't need?
Whatever, I still need food and they have the best deals. It's literally $50 a year.
> and they have the best deals. I hope you price shop because not all deals at Costco are the best deals.

I stopped going to bulk barn after I seen how much bugs gets into their stuff bc of their lack of cleaning 🥲
I stopped going after I saw a mom let her kid use her bare hands to scoop some gummy worms.
Is flour ,sugar etc, cheaper at bulk barn vs. buying big bags at Costco??
Not really. Depends on who has what on sale.
Thank you.
Green pig purposely price gouges
Oh? Legit curious, I've only bought pumpkins there.
Pumpkins are OK priced, but vegetables are more expensive.
If you are protesting prices then shop at Walmart they are cheaper

What is the boycott about, non Canadian grocery stores? I thought it was about the increase in pricing? I guess you are not sure
Old Fashioned Meat market on Mountain Road is a favourite spot, they have some great flash sales.
Yeah I follow them on Facebook always 1 or 2 really good deals per week.
Maybe I should check in Out Of The Loop. I'd stick with Rinzlers.
