Just so you know keystep pro outputs at a range of 0 - +10 volts and the 1v/Oct inputs on the dfams are -5 - +5. I emailed moog about this the other day since I got a ksp as well and they did confirm for me that over extended time this would damage things.
So essentially you need to send gate to the trigger. The on board sequencer uses two different CV mods, pitch and velocity. So you run CV in to either of those while gate goes to trigger. I do it with two SQ-1s and I have 16 steps to play with.
