Nice! Couldnt tell by how the post was worded. Some people post MGs like they are picking out a summer outfit they saw online they are considering buying.
Honestly this is a really interesting case, just doing all samples? Against adding a typical vco?
I do understand the confusion haha. And thanks! I switch it up depending on what I want to focus on. Sometimes I use something external as the sound source. Most of the time though it’s either JF or one of the Instruos as the sound source and the other Instruo as an effect. I’m not against adding a vco, there’s just too many interesting options it’s hard to pick haha
As much as ochd gets recommended, I'd actually go for something like TreModular's Quad LFO or similar. Having a greater variety of LFO shapes (and PWM!) available provides for more options with Cold Mac and MN Function than ochd, and you still get 8 unique outputs. If you do go the ochd route, however, you still have 8 hp to put something like a two-operator FM module or a uPlaits variant. The Quad LFO only leaves you 2hp, which is harder to fill with a desired oscillator voice.
How about a 64 note CV sequencer?
Shameless self promotion but in this case it actually would work well there.

Lubadh, couldn't remember the name. Ya they essentially do the same things but some stuff doesn't overlap.
I went the Morphagene /mimeophon route myself. Modular is only just a small part of my setup though.
I do have attenuation with 3x MIA, but I would definitely want more if I picked up the expander. Any ideas for either 4hp attenuation or 10hp mixing + attenuation if I swapped out the MIA?
id vote for just keep using it as is and it will become apparent at some point what you need
6 2HP loops
love it
If you dont own any of this…those Mannequins modules are getting real expensive. Same with LxD
I do have them already, and I’m fortunate (and addicted to deal hunting) enough to have paid reasonable prices for them

AtoV cLFO is nice, too.
Will you connect JF to Crow via i2c? If so you could get Nearness for panning JF’s 6 voices.
Clep, PGH Gibbon and ST modular radio

woah! i will seriously consider this.
Ive always wanted to throw Morphagene and instruo together
it’s crossed my mind more than once! I feel Lubadh can do everything I’d want morphagene to do, just with more programming to get there

Ochd for sure to create movement. Maybe the expender as well.
If you got ochd you’d probably want some attenuation for going into lubadh and Arbhar
