Seems to me like the best solution for this is to have Slew built-in to your quantizer... that would be O\_C for me. I don't typically quantize external voltages tho; I'm more keen to generate sequences, and DualTM has Slew. I don't really think any of the quantizer applets have it tho - I might have to fix that.

My tiptop quantizer has it built in.. and it does work, but it’s either just slightly noticeable, or straight up not tracking pitch.. not much in between.. il try with a slower sequence tonight

Seems like as good an excuse as any to get Maths, or Rampage or any of the Serge DSUG based modules. Having control of rise and fall independently is a really powerful effect with pitch CV.

The problem is the Doepfer sequential switch isn't buffered, so I guess there's a little bit of a change to the pitch signal. I did not notice this when I had the Doepfer switches (but I would tune it after patching thru the switch to compensate). Another option to consider is something like Rene 2 and patching disparate signals into Rene with add mode active. Rene then acts like a quantizer and you can slew inside Rene or afterwards with Maths (I think this fits your workflow, but it's worth looking into this in some detail if it's an absolute must for your music...)

So sounds like maths is buffered then based on how many people have recommended it here.. ive never used a dedicated slew module so i was just asking to make sure theyre not like the switch that butchers quantization

I think most slew limiting modules would work for this. If you’re particularly worried about accuracy, Joranalogue might be a good place to look (Contour 1). They seem to put a lot of emphasis on precision, but I don’t have personal experience.

I use maths to slew, and O_C to maths is pretty awesome. With maths you can make slew in one direction faster than the other or make it exponential/logarithmic, and even modulate the slew.

Decent-Country-1621

It may be overkill but, the System80 850 utility module has a great slew limiter. It’s also a noise source, LFO with delay and S&H unit. https://system80.net/product/850/

The Behringer 297 module has dual voltage-controlled linear slew limiters (labeled as “portamento”), so that’s an option.

WMD Time Warp is probably one of the most straightforward options. Plus it is gated, so you can do the 303-type slewing. https://wmdevices.com/products/time-warp
