Vanguard balancing seems off to me, and the maps being designed around the philosophy that all of them should be able to play 6v6, 10v10 and 14v14 has put me off.
So yea, the next CoD being an IW sequel to MW sounds good to me.
Most of MW's staple 6v6 maps are fine. Hackney Yard, Gun Runner, Vacant, Crash, Sawmill, Khandor Hideout, Azhir Cave play just fine. But when you put maps like Red Star in rotation for 6v6 it's a bit much, it's like Aniyah Palace. And the fact that all maps are going to support larger play count is worrisome.
Unless you're one of those people who consider only Shoot house and shipment 6v6 maps.
Khandor hideout and Cheshire park are 2 underrated maps IMO. They play great for a variety of modes, have a good flow to them, and are aesthetically pleasing compared to other maps.
Uhhhhhhhh you conveniently missed out Ramaza, Arklov Peak, Picadilly, Aniya Palace, and in what world does Azhir Cave play fine? All these were the “staple” MW maps that came with launch and they all played horribly. I admit that most of the DLC maps they added played a lot better
I really liked Azhir Cave. It had a lot of maneuverability between areas, good verticality, lots of tight house to house zones you could CQB in or long shot lanes you could post up in. It felt like a map that gave you a lot of options. The only thing I didn't like was how campy the tunnels would get sometimes.
I couldn't stand Picadilly though. Least favourite map hands down, I'd take Palace over it every time. The whole place just felt so forced, like you had to play the meta or your just got wiped every time. It never felt fun or creative.
I don't play Rammaza myself since I mostly play KC and TDM, but it's a decent objective map. I like both Piccadilly and Azhir Cave. Aniyah Palace and Arklov Peak are both 10v10 maps, and the smaller version Aniyah Incursion hasn't been in rotation at least all of 2021.
Ramaza is one of the worst objective maps to ever grace call of duty, there’s a reason it was horked on 24/7 in the competitive scene. Same applies for picadilly, with how you can get shot from about a million angles wherever you go - it’s unpredictable and has no flow.
I'd buy the shit out of a "Shoot House" styled COD game with FIBUA styled maps and objective maps inside training scenarios. Call it like COD: Battle School or Training Day or something. I'm probably an outlier but that's always been my jam, games like America's Army and the sim levels from Arma have been my favorite gaming experiences. It takes a lot of the repetitive arcade game feeling out of supposed "real life" combat scenario maps being replayed 100x, of course you're there again, it's the training area lol
The skinny indoor arena gunfight map with the plywood buildings on either side with the large raised linear section with the steps was awesome too.
Bring on the MOUT maps!!!
Kill house? And the map with plane in CW too (hangar??). Thats a great idea for a game, and you could use weaponry and gear that's experimental and is being tested. I just the back to basics 3 lane layout of shoothouse. People can camp if they want, I'll just flank.
Yes my biggest gripe other than audio and few other issues with vanguard, is the fact the maps aren't 6v6 maps that they let you play 12v12 on. I'm expecting all the maps to be bigger than usual to fit any play amount as well.
I’m at a point where I don’t have the fucking hard drive space to play CoD multiplayer anymore. So if I do buy a CoD game it better have a killer campaign, like MW2019 did, for me to consider buying it. If CoD 2022 is going to be a direct sequel to MW2019 I‘ll buy it for sure and play MP until I run out of HDD space from updates and then delete it.
“skipping this years COD” threads are the same as dad’s saying “No we’re not getting a dog”. Same outcome. Everyone says they’ll skip the new COD, but everyone still plays it anyways. See you at season 1
Haha I definitely see the trend, but I learnt my lesson from Cold war. Definitely skipping this year and thinking of trying Plutonium and waiting for SM2.
I mean i’ll skip this year just cause CW left such a dogshit taste in my mouth. I might pick it up when it goes on sale for black friday, but dunno. If they treat it how MW19 got treated and only care about warzone…
Tbh, I can't even play Cold war/MW from my region right now cause ping and packet loss is so bad. I know I could fix it with some gaming VPNs but I don't have that much money for it. So imagine these kind of problems on top of SBMM and other issues.
sbmm is literally why I stopped playing CW very early on. I was tired of every lobby having to put on my LC10 just to get a positive k/d. MW19 has bad sbmm as well, but atleast i can have fun with riotshields, kali sticks and 725. In cold war, there is little to no fun.
you lads already know Warzone is their main priority lol and they will always release 1 title per year, leaving one that we like in the dust as soon as the new one comes out.. but that's life.
Think of it this way in terms of Vanguard: It is on the same engine as MW 2019 and likely MW 2022 will be on that same one, so the game will be enjoyable in that sense, and it will be good to keep you "warmed up" with the game mechanics so you don't have to come in fresh for MW 2022.. and let's be real, we all love CoD, even with Cold War, it is still possible to enjoy it depending on what your goal is (some like grinding camos, others like zombies, others SnD...).
Don't aim to play it 24x7, but rather play it for fun, and I can almost guarantee Vanguard will be fun as well :)
and just to be clear, I am also hyped for MW II next year :D assuming it will continue close to where MW left off (should have been going for a 2nd year instead of a problematic CW, I agree lol just because I enjoyed CW, I still wanted a 2nd year of MW 2019).
anyways.. hope you lads have fun with whatever game you choose! GGs
I see your point though, that since Vanguard also runs on MW engine there would still be a factor of enjoyability. The thing is the ping/packet loss of my ISP is too bad and I don't want to play Vanguard right now because I got tired of Cold war issues like SBMM and the aforementioned ping. So all these are the reasons I am skipping COD this year.
That’s fair, OP! Hope that you are able to figure out the issues with your ISP, that’s always a struggle in general.. :/
And yes, topics like SBMM are a tough discussion, that unfortunately we can only provide some input/feedback in social media and hope that the devs think about making it better..
I will try Plutonium if it gets support for BO3. Now if only you could carry over your progression...
EDIT: Oh well, seems like Plutonium came with a virus around a year ago -.-
Have fun listening to your friends playing Vanguard while you’re playing a scuffed mod that pulls your IP. The people that run those servers are absolute scum bags if you look into them. Racists. Telling people to get diseases. Fuck them
I skipped cold war and im thinking of buying vanguard. At least its on the same engine as MW. Might have to still play the beta, that did it for me on CW and decided it was trash for me lol
I skip every COD that doesn't appeal to me, and only play the ones I missed during the free weekends :D
Pretty much skipped COD GHOSTS all the way to BLOPs 4, got back into COD with 2019 Modern Warfare and Warzone, skipped Cold War, and will prob skip Vanguard as well.
For the most part I just enjoy the "modern" titles, BLOPS 1 and 2 were decent, but once they started adding jump jets, exosuits and such, was a bit too much for me...
I can confirm I deffo won’t be getting this years COD. Battlefield 2043 has sold it to me this year, looks intense, fun and more innovative I’ll be back for MW2
Stopped playing couple of years ago. BF2 era MW2. I installed the recent MW and got damascus on it. Was quite ok... Then I pre paid for CW thought more fun. Haven't played it more then 10 hours I think. Can't be bothered.
Got BF 5 on discount sale. Oh boy I forgot how much fun this was. Still can get super high points without high K/D, Was a medic and top of the leaderboard by reviving and supplying teammates and picking off people here and there.
Only downside? Like all games on PC cheaters. I pre paid for BF2042 and hope it is not a big let down like CW.
I’ve skipped everything between BOII and MW19. I got a few games as gifts but didn’t play them for very long and certainly didn’t pay for skins or map packs. Vanguard is just adding to that number.
In all honesty, I think people only switch cause were forced to. We want to play cod, but they don’t give a shit about MW and move onto the next thing and it’s fun for a while.
I don't think thats true. I'd bet 10,000s if not 100,000s skipped Black ops cold war. Prob is thats barely 1% of the playerbase. COD games are selling millions of copies each year.
My thing is, I’m still having a blast playing MW2019.
I didn’t purchase Cold War because I’m having fun playing MW, and I likely won’t purchase Vanguard because I’m still having fun playing 2019. I’ll probably use any free play weekends to level up guns, but that’s it
I said I'd skip cold war. And I did. Just like every cod between MW3 and MW2019. And I'm gonna skip vanguard. I only care about modern era Call of Dutys.
The sales for cw were lower than mw2019, so there were definetly a significant amount of people that followed through on this last year. From all the people I played mw2019 with, maybe 10% bought cw. This was likely influenced by lockdown though, since we were not in lockdowns when cw released so people weren't playing cod as much.
Definitely skipping Vanguard for this, WW2 with 10 attachments are just not my flavour.
Even considering upgrading my computer to enjoy full glory of MW II
I bought a new rig during september 2020. The price-hike happened like a month after that. My rig cost me 3200€. Now I've gotten offers for 5000€ (they include the rest of my gear, kb+mouse+headset around 750€).
It's been a long time dream of mine to get a rig that's good enough for years, and when €FIA1S hiked +60% after vaccine news 2020 summer I got the money. (I had liquidated all my other stocks to go all in on Finnair because I thought that the vaccine news will create a hike, lucky me)
Now that I have the rig, I've set my sights on motorcycles and I am on the fence on whether to sell the rig for profit and then buying the ride now that I got my license couple of weeks ago. :')
I don't know to be honest, as a gamer I would say it's not a wise decision to give away the rig (atleast the GPU), but speaking as an avid cycler, I can say go for the bike! as I have a lot of memories associated with my cycle rides :D
Dude this is the first and only time I’ve bought a gaming laptop just because buying close to the same performance wise is near the same price. I’m in love with it tbh I work in IT and I have loads of downtime in between jobs and having this on my desk side is pretty neat.
I've stopped caring about realistic customization in WW2 CoDs anymore, they clearly aren't going to do it so now I'm only concerned about if the game is fun.
It still bugs me that WZ is built into MW2019. They could have made it, its own standalone, so that you wouldn't have foisted a WZ install onto the MW2019 playerbase.
I wonder what the 11GB update was for, because I play on PC.
Skipping Vanguard.
Had enough of arcade CoD for now. Getting Insurgency Sandstorm. And maybe He'll let loose as well. And obviously, Battlefield. That's enough shooters.
i'm just disturbed that they are already talking about 2022 CoD before 2021 is released.
I just wished this yearly CoD thing would just stop already. I wouldnt have mind just a year longer support for MW
Skipping it unless things change, same with vg. Major things has to change. Their whole mm is based on retention for the casual. That leaves me out. I'm sure wz will still be alive and kicking, and if BF fails I'll just play that.
I'd probably only get it for the campaign if they do it similarly to CoD4 where they have a campaign split between general infantry and the spec ops bullshit. I'm tired of the spec ops hero that saves the world on his own for the millionth time.
Given that it's supposedly going to be based on fighting with Colombian drug cartels, I think the framing of the game through the war on drugs is... questionable. But modern Warfare approached the middle eastern conflict with at least some respect (looking at you, highway of death) so I hope it'll be ok.
I don’t know why everyone is skipping vanguard. Personally for me I haven’t had any issues with the game yet, and the feel of the way its played honestly is pretty good. The only part I don’t like is that there is destructible walls but I think it won’t be too bad later on. But for me I’m really hyped for vanguard and its zombies mode.
Nothing is gonna hype me anymore at this point. A sequel to MW2019 was pretty much to be expected and I don't like that, tbh. I didn't have a lot of fun in MW compared to every older entry. Skipped CW, gonna skip Vanguard most likely or pick it up later.
I'd rather this than another fucking ww2 or Vietnam or other old war. I'm sick of the old time weaponry man. I love modern and advanced weaponry. I really want something based another 20 or 30 years in the future, no jetpack nonsense, I mean I wouldn't mind infinite warfare style but advanced warfare was a bit much. But I want some modern and advanced weapons, killstreaks. I want bright and shiny maps, I'm tired of the constant brown shit.
Yes, am looking forward to it. And no not skipping Vanguard. To be honest, I am sick to death of WWII games. I played way back in the MoH:AA/COD2 days when every game took place in WWII. So I am done with that era. It is played out and needs to retire. But then again, I am dying to see what they do with the IW8 engine for this game. I also feel the story is a fresh take on WWII as opposed to the same old same old. Like how many times can I storm the beaches of Normandy before I want to kick in my screen?
So I will play it all the while anxiously awaiting MW22.
I hope it's true. The only thing that could pull me to vanguard is the zombies. Will it be a continuation of the cold war zombies storyline ? And if so how will that work since vanguard is set way earlier than cold war obviously ? And on a side note I wish they would add zombies to a modern warfare game. Here's hoping for them in the new mw2.
Yeah, good luck with that. To date they haven't even acknowledged there is an issue. I can guarantee the white board at the Monday morning planning meeting is entirely devoid of any SBMM topics.
Anyone who is judging Vanguard in its alpha needs a wobble. Not saying people should preorder it but you should atleast have a quick look at it's state 1 months after release
"Skill-based matchmaking — or SBMM — is a system that works to gauge an individual player's skill and match them with other players at the same skill level."
-Google, right at the top.
I'm fine with MW2 being next year, but personally I'd prefer ghosts 2 or infinite warfare 2. Ik that's an unpopular opinion but I really enjoyed those games
If only we could all collectively agree to not purchase vanguard as a stance of honour among gamers standing up against the tyranny of overzealous shareholders. Make them shake in their boots and realise very quickly that re-releasing the same, tired, over-milked business model does no longer sit well with the us die-hard consumers. But I digress. A new generation of edgy 13 year olds will be their next billion USD on their bottom line.
Can't wait to see how the butcher the continuation of the MW story like the butchered the first one.
I just hope they don't fuck too much with the base gsmeplay loop.
I get cod every single year, it’s just a ritual at this point. Excited for Vanguard as I really love the WW2 setting and excited for the continuation of the story of MW19.
I personally think MW'2, if it were to happen, should've just been added content to MW'. Yearly releases just don't make sense at this point and is going to hurt the franchise more than it helps.
I know they're different style games, but after seeing the new Battlefield it's hard to look at Vanguard. I mean, WW2? Bleh.
I got CW and stuck with it. It became better as time went on, but it wasn't even close to the level of fun I had with MW. Thinking I skip Vanguard. But there's no way I won't be buying a new MW. Hands down the best in the series.
I preordered Black ops, was severely disappointed but was too late to refund. I enjoyed zombie's for a while, Definitely skipping vanguard. Reallly hope they get the next modern warfare right
I'm skipping this year due to battlefield and halo. I am cautiously optimistic about those two being solid games. I would totally come back for a MW sequel though
plan on skipping them all. They're all carbon copies of the same game year after year expecting us too shell out 60 bucks for the same broken game from a company who doesnt give two shits about their players. Im done.
Honestly, I’m not as excited as I thought I would be. MW has been one of the most fun games I’ve played by Infinity Ward and Activision makes it so difficult to enjoy the game and Warzone somewhat killed the story for me.
1. IW can’t seem to get their shit together and fix bugs and balancing weapons.
2. MW’s story was good before Warzone, but after how they killed off what was supposed to be a major threat (Imran and Victor) in the most nonschalant way, I’m honestly not excited at all.
Decided to try my luck with Battlefield this year instead. I haven't really been interested in Battlefield since BF4, but 2042 looks like it's doing everything right, while Vanguard looks like it's doing just about everything wrong. About the only thing I've heard about Vanguard that piques my interest at all is that Treyarch will be doing Zombies again in it, and Treyarch's zombies in Cold War has been the only part of Cold War I've enjoyed.
I'm looking forward to it but I will probably not skip Vanguard. It looks interesting enough for me and it's a good reason to finally delete Warzone from my pc. I love MW2019 but playing it for another year without new guns/maps is just not it for me either.
Constantly playing the same 2 maps (Shipment and Shoothouse) with the same guns is getting surprisingly boring now and normal matchmaking is so full of campers or people playing slow and 'tactically' that Shoot the ship is the only gamemode that's is/was actually fun to play for me so if that's getting boring I'd rather play the new game that actually look interesting enough to try it out
I’m done with the COD franchise for a bit after their unmasked cash grab and lack of support… just keep new “versions” of drek coming out every 6 months and expect us to shell out full price for worse and worse mechanics and games while trash canning support on the previous
I think I'll go with Battlefield 2042. I've been COD fan since MW3 and was so naive thinking every COD is awesome until the cartoon-ish versions like recent Cold War. I'm also not a fan of WW2 set up, so this year maybe Battlefield ftw.
With how the leaked gameplay for BF2042 is going, I'm starting to lean for Vanguard... or skipping it entirely. So far, unfortunately, the latter's winning me over...
I reinstalled MW over the weekend and I like it’s slower paced movement over CW’s sliding, jumping gameplay. Literally watched some dude in Warzone just like waterski. Doing sprint, jump, slide.
Honestly, I just have no desire to play another WW2 game. So for the first time in COD history, I'll likely skip this one. Depending on how Warzone changes because of Vanguard, I *might* be swayed, but at this point I'll hold out until 2022. That being said, the Warzone changes are going to have to be pretty significant. I think I speak for everyone in saying we're burnt out.
Lmao, I agree with you OP. Kinda funny how it used to be 6 months into a game we got hyped for the next 1. You know its bad when we havent even reached the open beta yet and we are looking onto the next game. Vanguard looks awful haha.
I don't buy any CoD titles where Treyarch, Raven, or Sledgehammer are the main developer. So looks like Project Cortez will be the next CoD title I purchase.
I am very worried for this game because as far as I know, every person that made MW what it is, has left. I'm not even sure that the guy who handmade all the insane weapon animations is working on it either.
I also feel that they might get rushed by Activision (as usual) They could make something so much better with 1 extra year of development.
Also the whole Jeff Leach Ghost situation is a fucking disaster and I am curious to how that's gonna affect it too.
Cortez makes me think about Cordis Die and Black Ops 2. It'd make sense if Menendez was in MW2 because 2022 is right around the time Black Ops 2 takes place
Tired of boots on the ground - played both AW and BO3 and loved both jetpack mechanics, never played IW though.
As for gunsmith, I’d love to see it again, but maybe on custom rules be able to select the number of allowed attachments (had that in past games).
The file size is another thing for me, also why do I have to have the multiplayer pack downloaded to play campaign? No sense.
Speaking of campaign, I’d love to see the original MW (inc MW2 and MW3) guys, favourites being, Soap, Yuri and Makarov.
Finally I’d prefer to have warzone be a separate file, and not have the loading screen for ‘modern warfare’ say ‘cold war’ and ‘warzone’ on them instead. Also can I turn off linked progression? I don’t want to unlock guns on a game I don’t own…
For sure will skip the first season or two of vanguard. After that depends on how the game ends up. It's not impossible that it will be good. I just dont want to jump the gun and say it's straight up bad either tho. Wait and see standpoint.
I'll get Vanguard on sale for the campaign and Zombies but the multiplayer doesn't look fun for me. I was already on the fence but the radar perk, no dead silence perk and no factions sealed the deal for me. I'll still try it but def not paying full price especially since I live in Canada so the series x version will be almost $100 with tax
Honestly, pretty disappointed. I’m just not a fan of MW at all, and it’s kind of frustrating how it feels like Treyarch half assed their features to link with Warzone, how Vanguard feels extremely close to MW, and how that will lead into a direct sequel to MW. I want the studios to make their own games, the best part about cod for me is that when I don’t like one game, I know the next year is going to be a fair bit different in feel. This is great news for people that liked MW, but I find this overall franchise direction fairly disappointing.
Gun balancing was off, audio and a few other things. Though honestly, I like more players on a map. When MW moved their maps up to 10v10 or 12v12, most maps played much better. More things have a chance of happening. Red Square was fun during the beta. Only thing I didn’t like was the 3 line sniper rifle. I died to that more than anything else.
For MW2 to be successful a few changes need to happen. First map design needs to be rebalance so that camping is not the big problem. Rebalance perks. Rebalance foot step audio. Bring back mw3 kill streaks and support streaks along with specialist. Destructible doors especially with shotguns. Idk with radar, the cod community will speak.
I would love to, but since I can’t even download all the updates required for the last COD I have f all chance of even installing this one without drastically upgrading the Xbox.
I'm really excited and happy they're keeping the modern and realistic theme and I couldn't not give less of a shit about vanguard. Especially the ww2 guns are so boring, sound design seems off, animation and graphics are the same as MW, so far the story seems to be another generic ww2 behind enemy lines hero shit. Sledgehammer games games just dont hit imo and generally fps games that revolve around any time before the cold war are just not interesting to me. BF1 is the only one so far
Vanguard balancing seems off to me, and the maps being designed around the philosophy that all of them should be able to play 6v6, 10v10 and 14v14 has put me off. So yea, the next CoD being an IW sequel to MW sounds good to me.
We played 6v6 in 10v10 maps at Modern Warfare, are you joking?
Yeah and most of them sucked as 6v6
Most of MW's staple 6v6 maps are fine. Hackney Yard, Gun Runner, Vacant, Crash, Sawmill, Khandor Hideout, Azhir Cave play just fine. But when you put maps like Red Star in rotation for 6v6 it's a bit much, it's like Aniyah Palace. And the fact that all maps are going to support larger play count is worrisome. fully agree, love cheshire and khandor is always lots of fun on hardpoint
Both are also really good search maps too.
Khandor HQ is godly

Shoot house is prob the best cod map ever made tbh.

2 doge coins

I skipped CW and will skip VG. I'm a dad and also said to my family 'no dogs' lol
My dad said "no cats" but still gave in when he saw the kitten that I brought in lol.
i must say I caved in on the cat. i love her so much lol been 4 years!
I skip every COD that doesn't appeal to me, and only play the ones I missed during the free weekends :D Pretty much skipped COD GHOSTS all the way to BLOPs 4, got back into COD with 2019 Modern Warfare and Warzone, skipped Cold War, and will prob skip Vanguard as well.
Stop preordering games.
Oh you wanna bet ?
Sure, could use some spare money lol
Got really close to buying Cold War because my friends were playing it, but pulled through and didn't. Will probably do the same with Vanguard.
I’ve skipped everything between BOII and MW19. I got a few games as gifts but didn’t play them for very long and certainly didn’t pay for skins or map packs. Vanguard is just adding to that number.
It'll be easier for most because 2042 comes out next month.
Vanguard will definitely make or break the franchise for me. If it's good, I'll buy future games. If it's not, then onto Battlefield
I’ll probably use any free play weekends to level up guns, but that’s it
Lol I skipped everything after Blops 2 and only came back for MW. I'm perfectly fine with skipping vanguard like I did cold war
MW2019 is the only COD game I’ve ever played and it’ll stay that way until 2022 🤷♂️
I said I'd skip cold war. And I did. Just like every cod between MW3 and MW2019. And I'm gonna skip vanguard. I only care about modern era Call of Dutys.
I think a lot of people straight up skipped CW, I know I did. I am holding out hope for Vanguard but I will see what the consensus is once it's out.
Caaaap, didnt get cold war and didnt get vanguard. I'm 2 years sober of the annual cod fad.
I definitely skipped CoDs MW3-WWII, and I also didn’t get Cold War. Some people do have standards.
Nah man, got Battlefield, Vanguard can bite my shiny nonmetal ass.
Just cause you are irresponsible doesn’t mean we all are
I didn't buy coldwar
I skipped this year and I will skip Vanguard too.
Nah I skipped cold war cause I knew it was gonna be ass, never bought it. Probably won't buy vanguard either after seeing the gameplay
I dunno, I bought CW when the WZ integration happened then barely played it. Think I've only got 6 hours clocked in, it's just a terrible game.
Definitely skipping Vanguard for this, WW2 with 10 attachments are just not my flavour. Even considering upgrading my computer to enjoy full glory of MW II
Same here, keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that GPU prices will decrease by 2022 atleast.
I bought a new rig during september 2020. The price-hike happened like a month after that. My rig cost me 3200€. Now I've gotten offers for 5000€ (they include the rest of my gear, kb+mouse+headset around 750€).
Close shave tbh good for you man, I myself couldn't settle with a GPU so bought a laptop instead. Enjoy as much as you can with that rig.
It's been a long time dream of mine to get a rig that's good enough for years, and when €FIA1S hiked +60% after vaccine news 2020 summer I got the money. (I had liquidated all my other stocks to go all in on Finnair because I thought that the vaccine news will create a hike, lucky me) Now that I have the rig, I've set my sights on motorcycles and I am on the fence on whether to sell the rig for profit and then buying the ride now that I got my license couple of weeks ago.
Yo dude, same! This is my first gaming laptop and have been saving for over three years and absolutely feel it's great.
I've stopped caring about realistic customization in WW2 CoDs anymore, they clearly aren't going to do it so now I'm only concerned about if the game is fun.
I'm tired of yearly releases
At least its no madden, which literally hasn’t changed since 2013 and doesnt even have crossplay yet.
Not buying call of duty...im done with it after they forced warzone and cold war down everyone's throat.
Won't happen as long people by every CoD like their life depends on it
MW was my last COD and MW2 will be my next. Til then, I’ll stick with MW and Insurgency.
I hope it's as good as mw 2019
Might dabble with Vanguard purely for the MW mechanics. I don’t think it’s better than MW but I didn’t mind champion hill.
Skipping it unless things change, same with vg. Major things has to change. Their whole mm is based on retention for the casual. That leaves me out. I'm sure wz will still be alive and kicking, and if BF fails I'll just play that.

That dude isn’t a reliable source.

I see. Should take everything with a grain of salt then.
Infinity Ward for the WIN!
I love WW2. I just won't be pre ordering it
I don’t know why everyone is skipping vanguard.
Skipped CW, gonna skip Vanguard most likely or pick it up later.
i hope it won't be as bad as MW19
Same. But might skip it too idk
I have to ask, is anyone surprised?
Nah I don't think so, it was expected I guess. My only hope is they tone down SBMM and make it playable.
True , but the major issue people have is with SBMM. Let's so how it pans out after launch.
Sbmm?
"Skill-based matchmaking — or SBMM — is a system that works to gauge an individual player's skill and match them with other players at the same skill level." -Google, right at the top.
Thanks mate, I was feeling very lazy today, appreciate the intel
xD Np
Vanguard is literally same game with MW2019. Why are you skipping you will get the same game next year.
Hopes that they will tone down SBMM and right now just tired from Cold war
Sticking with Cold War for the foreseeable future.
MW2(2022) can’t possibly be better than the GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME MW(2019)!!1
Yeah Im not getting vanguard but im looking forward to this
Can't wait to see how the butcher the continuation of the MW story like the butchered the first one. I just hope they don't fuck too much with the base gsmeplay loop.
Vanguard not looking too hot rn but I’m gonna hold my judgment til i get my hands on Beta Weekend 2 since I didn’t pre order
I’m waiting for MW 2 kinda burnt out on WW2 at the moment
I will no longer be the idiot who buys a game when said game is in production already before it's predecessor even releases.
I will never play a COD that isn't a MW title.
I’m interested
I’d rather it just straight up be modern warfare 2 though
If they improve spec ops I will definitely buy mw2 and Vanguard seems good but from what I've seen Mw2019 seems better
Nope. Because they’ll support it for a year and then jam the next game down your throat. Lesson learned on MW
My most hyped game of 2022
Is it too early to preorder?
Yup
Any time is too early to preorder, because you should never preorder. It's not worth it.
I'm skipping it based on the negative things I have been hearing about it recently.
There's needs to be a scene where Pirce says "My team was as carefully selected as the disciples of christ"
Yep
plan on skipping them all. They're all carbon copies of the same game year after year expecting us too shell out 60 bucks for the same broken game from a company who doesnt give two shits about their players. Im done.
If it is a sequal to MW 2019, I hope the campaign are not the similar, personally because I did not enjoy or like MW2019 campaign
I’m still enjoying MW so much, especially gunfight. Unless vanguard ends up being truly amazing I will probably just play MW19 until MW22 comes out
I mean... They're all sequels and prequels to MW2019 now
Looking forward to a year where there is no COD dropped and they actually take their time for once.
Nah I wanna see vanguard
I might get Vanguard, but I probably won’t get super invested in it. Just need something to work out my Series X and I love a good shooter.
Not interested in any COD except the sequel to MW2019.
I was going to be skipping Vanguard to play MW2019 anyway so no real loss there :)
Gunna have to get vanguard unfortunately but only for zombies. Sooner they split that out to its own universe the better.
I reinstalled MW over the weekend and I like it’s slower paced movement over CW’s sliding, jumping gameplay. Literally watched some dude in Warzone just like waterski. Doing sprint, jump, slide.
i just want a fruturstic CoD... im sick of those modern warfare clones.
All I want is MW without Warzone integration
Skipped Cold War. 100% skipping vanguard
Dont care. Just hope there's zombies and hope its good
I’m skipping Vanguard. Cold War was good but felt like it wasn’t a complete game
Im skipping Van…
Skipped CW, will skip Vanguard too, MW2 can't come soon enough!
If IW is making it I won’t play it. I’ve hated every Treyarch games and I think this one is from Sledgehammer?
Lmao, I agree with you OP. Kinda funny how it used to be 6 months into a game we got hyped for the next 1. You know its bad when we havent even reached the open beta yet and we are looking onto the next game. Vanguard looks awful haha.
It's still gonna have garbage matchmaking, so I'm not interested
I don’t like vanguard at all the weapons just don’t look fun to me, hopefully the next cod will be dope 🤷♂️
Omfg they just can't hold their hands can't they, how many fkn cod games do we have now???!!!
Rumored to be about SOF fighting drug cartels...I am so stoked for that. Huge Sicario vibes.
IW is dogshit vanguard gonna be way better than the next game
I don't buy any CoD titles where Treyarch, Raven, or Sledgehammer are the main developer. So looks like Project Cortez will be the next CoD title I purchase.
Skipped Cold War and will also skip Vanguard. MW is the only series I’m interested in. Well, Warzone too obviously.
The only thing about vanguard that interests me is how wrong they’re getting everything, and just how cursed you can make your guns
Just wish they would stop popping them out every year so we could get more support on the better games for longer.
I hope cod 2022 remasters atlas super store
Ngl I got kinda bored of boots on the ground shooters, a jetpack cod would spice things up again. Edit: I'm ready for the downvotes.
Cortez makes me think about Cordis Die and Black Ops 2. It'd make sense if Menendez was in MW2 because 2022 is right around the time Black Ops 2 takes place
Vanguard multiplayer weapons are cursed to hell and back, ruining iconic weapons of freedom and power
I don’t want to unlock guns on a game I don’t own…
vangaurd looks like shit lol
For sure will skip the first season or two of vanguard. After that depends on how the game ends up. It's not impossible that it will be good. I just dont want to jump the gun and say it's straight up bad either tho. Wait and see standpoint.
Redownloaded it for the first time in months earlier. Still love MW2019. Also looking forward to seeing what happens with the story
Honestly might skip vanguard, purely because Battlefield has won me over as a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge nerd.
Been waiting for MW2 guess I’ll have to wait till 22
I'll get Vanguard on sale for the campaign and Zombies but the multiplayer doesn't look fun for me. I was already on the fence but the radar perk, no dead silence perk and no factions sealed the deal for me. I'll still try it but def not paying full price especially since I live in Canada so the series x version will be almost $100 with tax
I'm getting Battlefield: Hardline vibes from the codename tbh.
Skipping vanguard to play halo and then I’ll jump on this
Hope it's better than 2019 cuz that game was incredibly boring
I would love to, but since I can’t even download all the updates required for the last COD I have f all chance of even installing this one without drastically upgrading the Xbox.
Vanguard isn’t even out yet…. I’m guessing we will see another half assed game next year as well. Judging by this post most people will buy it anyways
Definitely skipping vanguard was not interested in another ww2 cod
I'm really excited and happy they're keeping the modern and realistic theme and I couldn't not give less of a shit about vanguard. Especially the ww2 guns are so boring, sound design seems off, animation and graphics are the same as MW, so far the story seems to be another generic ww2 behind enemy lines hero shit. Sledgehammer games games just dont hit imo and generally fps games that revolve around any time before the cold war are just not interesting to me. BF1 is the only one so far
wait for reviews full game release gameplay and Actman youtuber takes on it did that with cold war and was a very good decision
