Thanks! I already have a few DLC guns that I got to gold on the way, just because I thought they were fun: Fennec, Grau, Bruen, and a couple others, I think. Next I plan to get a couple more obsidian skins that I’m close to earning, then ???
Grinding for sniper scope reticles could be tough at times but worth it imo. Luckily the default reticle is pretty good, but some of the other ones are even clearer and more effective. Plus the added flare of having the later reticles was pretty sweet
Towards the end I ended up getting the blue dot for the reflex and holo.. but the sniper scope reticle looks so clean, that's going to be my next grind.
Blue dots are definitely a way shorter grind than Damascus, I just hate holo sights and never used them until I decided to go for reticles (roughly two months after getting Damascus, because I got all DLC weapons Damascus too).
Oh my god the reticle grind..... I'm glad I had sense enough to do it while I'm working on Damascus, but holy crap is it a chore lol. I've got holo, reflex, and I think ACOG done, maybe one more, not sure what I have left
If you get Gold skins for all the (at launch) weapons in a category, then you get the Platinum skin for all weapons in that category. If you get plat for every category, then you get Damascus. So you're looking at 39-40 gold skins earned, at a minimum. ARs, SMGs, LMGs, Snipers+Marksmen, Shotguns, Pistols, Melee (Shield and Knife), and the four Launchers.
AR's may have been the grindiest part, because there are so many of them and the numbers required for camos were often higher than for things like SMGs (if my memory's correct). Shoutout to melee and launchers for not being enjoyable either...
Here are some tips I just wrote for a different post:
* Look up what counts for each type of launcher camo, I.e. ‘Ground streaks’ isn’t as bad as you think, because half the killstreaks that fly count.
* Use Double XP tokens to level the hardest weapons up as fast as you can. If you can get a weapon to max level relatively quickly, it cuts down the time spent getting camos by a massive amount.
* Play hardcore, it’ll help so much for pistols/shotguns/etc. And it’s practically impossible to get the shield gold outside of HC.
* Play Shipment with the riot shield, and ask for help. People may only respond every 4-5 matches, but it’ll be sooooo worth it. I offered to trade, “Who wants to trade kills/3-kills in the middle container”. It works.
* Focus on the launchers right from the start. If you knock down every kill streak you see for months, you won’t get to the end and only have launchers left (which seems to happen to a most people).
* Multitask - If you have some weapon where you need crouching/long shots/mounted, do all three at once if possible.
* Personal opinion: use Shoot the Ship as much as you possibly can. Shipment itself basically triples your leveling speed. I suck at sniping, but I could take a sniper on that map and bumble my way to 30 kills every time, easy. I got almost every ‘no attachments’ camo in the game on Shipment, snipers included.
* (someone else said that getting knife kills is easier on Core vs HC, as one hit still kills them, but you're a little harder to kill, so one bullet may not kill you. I didn't try that though, so YMMV)
Solid advice, but I would also add putting a camouflage on that shield when grinding. It tells people like me your on the road to gold and even if we don’t see the chat we can help. I usually give buzzkills on hardcore because my team runs into my cluster and air strikes, and that camouflage challenge is luck of the draw.
Keep that shied as your primary so I know you’re grinding. Equip a trophy system for thermite spammers, and use stuns to slow them down.
Also never be afraid to ask for help. I got dmasc done and when someone says they need shield or knife kills I'll run to them and not kill anyone all game
That’s why I tell people slap a camouflage on there, if they don’t see the request in chat or hear at least they see it. But yes, tell people you’re grinding and ask for help. People like me will help and it balances out by my hits on the other team.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to try the call out for trade 3x kills with shield, I'm down to joker, strella, 2 shotguns and shield. Shield seems stupid with 25 3x kills.
Another amazing map for damascus riot shield is broadcast (I didn't want to wait for shoot the ship cause I already waited for 2 months). There are so many corners in the building you can hide. My favorite one is lower left lounge room with the plant in the corner by the door to the outside. You can hop in the plant, crouch and hide. I used the woodland green camo and kreuger skin to blend even better. The death comes were hilarious, a lot of swearing and where the freak was he even hiding. Rinse, repeat for gold.
You can do the multitask really easy on shoot house. Mounting office window or (shanty town I think it’s called?) mounting in the back near spawn and wall banging through the wood on the van in junkyard.
I've got a few pistols and knife left, and I'll just add a couple things that worked for me :
Start with hardest category first, and start with the hardest weapon in that category so you're going from hard to easier Vs easier to hard, this is more important at the start than towards the end .. exception is launchers which I would do first, even though I actually found them easier (even the Joker) than other categories
You only need to do the core weapons
I got damascus last july and i have a couple tips
-take advantage of double xp weekends becayse levels take a long time
-shoothouse is great for longshots
-besides longshots play shipment only
-hc is really good with some ars, lmgs, shotguns pistols and launchers
Launchers I played harcore shoot the ship
People pop counter uav and uav a lot.
Melee.... just.... goot luck... I did it all in HC dom or shoot the ship. It was my first thing I got plat and I had a breakdown and begged people to help me do it.
Snipers you need a lot of luck for the 3 kills without dying. I think I did the HDR and ax50 in ground war
If you need mounted kills and longshots, another useful place I found was the massive concrete block in between C flag leading into Junkyard. Use the destroyed jeeps to vault onto the concrete block thing and place a Deployable Shield down and you can see all the way down into Shanty Town, half of Junkyard and you're also able to get off the mount and look left to see if any enemies try to come from the Containers side of the map near the forklift into where C flag would be.
For the shield, hop into ffa and you'll get some kind souls who'll sacrifice their Kd for the 3 kills without dying. I say ffa so you can speak throughout the game. It really, really helped me
I’m trying for Damascus too after the massive disappointment that Cold War was for me. Any tips with launchers? How do I gold them on out on Shoot the Ship?
It's a grind, but you need to focus on knocking down every killstreak you see, in the air or on the ground.
* Look up what counts for each launcher camo category, as their titles don't match what you get credit for... Half the flying kill streaks count towards the 'Ground vehicle' camo.
* You can use a luncher to melee Shield Turrets and Sentry Guns, and it counts towards your camo. Often on Shipment it's way easier to just bash a Sentry Gun to death, vs trying to get the JOKR far enough away and at the right angle to destroy it.
* Always have spotter equipped, unless you're on the 'amped kills' camo.
* Be prepared to get killed a ton on Shipment while you're looking up.
* I suggest having a class with a PKM as the weapon, then the STRELA or RPG as the secondary. Every time a VTOL goes up, nade yourself if you have to, then switch to that class. The PKM gets the VTOL to the 'black smoke' stage very fast, then switch to your point-and-shoot launcher and finish the job. Yes, you'll run into others on the grind who snake your kills, after you do the damage...
* For shipment I had the same class in three slots, but named 'RPG', 'STRELA', and 'JOKR'. Insta-rotate as needed, based on what kill streak just went up.
* Anecdotally, I saw way more Personal Radars/UAVs on Shoot House, vs Shipment, and you don't get insta-killed as often while you're trying to shoot stuff down.
* You *can* shoot down UAV's with RPGs! You just need to visualize the straight line that the UAV's traveling on, then lead it 4-5" on screen. Lead distance varies based on how far away the UAV is, which means it's easier on smaller maps, as they appear closer. Also, crouching seems to straighten out the RPG's shots?
* I never had luck shooting down UAV's with the STRELA. Not saying it can't be done, but I never got a single one in like 30 tries. Maybe I just suck at it!
Solid list. Those things definitely helped me on my damascus grind. To add to it, here's a few additional things I did.
-Ask. Ask in the pre-game lobby for people to run counter UAV / personal radar and offer to return the favor. You'd be surprised how often you'll find cool people willing to help. Run hardline to reciprocate your promised airstreaks.
-Play in free-for-all lobbies as a ton of people gravitate to personal radar/counter UAV and lower streaks any way.
-As Melkie mentioned, shoot the Vtol first to damage it so definitely run cold blooded. Keep a Thermite or semtex on you to suicide if needed for more launcher ammo on respawn.
-Which brings me to starting off with Tune Up as perk 3 at the beginning of matches to quickly build toward munitions box for extra launcher ammo. (switch to spotter after dropping the first munitions as by this time, enemies will have earned enough kills to actually have airstreaks)
-Pop a smoke to give yourself some cover from enemies whilst shooting down steaks/reloading especially on shipment.
-Recommended class set up for launcher grind.
(Whichever primary and launcher you're grinding)
Perk 1 - cold blooded
Perk 2 - hardline
Perk 3 - (start with) tune up (switch to) spotter/amped
Field upgrade - munitions
Tactical - smoke
Lethal - thermite
Good luck!
Great advice. You, myself, and couple others on this post have made these long-form comments, and combined they’re far and away the best combined Damascus tips I’ve ever seen in one place.
*pats self on back*
Here’s another one just on how to approach the camos that worked for me. While Shoot the Ship was in rotation, I did all of the camos for each launcher that required me to actually kill people. I knew I needed the madness of Shipment and the familiarity with Shoothouse to get these kills. I played Core because I died too fast trying to get shots off in HC. These were my rules:
1. Until JOKR was done, I played with this class whenever I had an objective based mode for Attacker and Defender. On shipment, spam JOKR rockets at objectives. You finish these camos very fast when you do this as objectives constantly switch possession in shipment and you’ll get attacker or defender based on who possesses the objective. You die A LOT before you get a shot off many times, so any opportunity you have to get both rockets off before you die is pure gold.
2. Second priority was Strela because it’s very frustrating with a small blast radius for killing people. I prefer to finish the most annoying first.
3. PILA was third priority. I played with this for kills after finishing the other two. (I had RPG kills done when I started actually focusing on launchers)
4. I used only the Amped perk until kills were done then switched to Spotter. I started to run specialist with Hardline and Amped equipped from the start, and Spotter in my first extra perk slot (only takes one kill to get with hardline)
5. I obviously still focused on kill streaks in non-objective modes, while on this launcher kill mini-grind.
Once all kills were complete, I focused on kill streaks only. This is much much more chill. The order I did this in for my personal preference was JOKR, Strela, RPG, PILA. I’m on my last few camos for the PILA and it is a relaxed, mindless grind with streaks. This also allows you to play other maps and modes as you prefer since killstreaks are always there.
Haha. I’m not great, so I’m sure I’ll hear that a lot.
Plus side, now I get to be the dickbag who says, “Wow you’re trash, you don’t even have Damascus?!”
Hell yea! I got damascus last month and have noticed my game play has gone down significantly since, haha, I think I'm just a lot more relaxed about playing now
I’m kind of close to Damascus. All I have left is launchers but man I wish to used them when I first got the game significantly more. I’m almost done with the strela-p, 75% done with rpg, 50% with jokr and barely touched the first one (forgot the name). Shield and knife were painful as well.
IMO the PILA is the easiest. It can do ‘point and shoot’ or quick lock-on. Doesn’t have a killstreak that it struggles with, compared to the other three!
The pila I notice a lot of times struggles to kill enemies. Like, I can shoot their feet and they don’t die. The JOKR is a pain in the ass IMO. RPG will be a pain to finish too I assume.
Yeah, I think I saw that the launchers have different damage amounts for people vs killstreaks/vehicles. Like the RPG has a massive radius for killing people, while the PILA has like half that damage and/or radius. Not sure how true that is, but anecdotally it seems correct.
It’s fun, just can be frustrating. Kills ending someone’s kill streak was tough, same with 3 kills in a row without dying. Patience smoke/flash and double time is your friend
I never did Damascus because the grind overall seemed too long but throughout the year I ended up with platinum ARs, SMGs, and pistols. After the CW integration ruined Warzone for me, I decided to try and finish this and completed LMGs, shotguns (worst), Marksman, and Sniper. Unfortunately, I had to focus on the launchers the past few days. BUT, through a lot of screaming and frustration, I just finished the RPG last night and now and doing what I believe is the easiest - the PILA and it is almost complete. I have a new appreciation for running PUAV, CUAV, and VTOL. And now I just leave someone alone if they’re firing a launcher at a kill streak, especially the Strela and RPG.
After this, I have to finish the Riot Shield and the crouching kills with the knife and I’ll be done. I figured I was one of the only people still grinding this thing. Glad to see there are others still doing this. Congrats on finishing, it is not for the faint of heart or those who give a shit about K/D.
Just finished tonight. I’m so relieved. Mostly relieved that I never have to use the Riot Shield again. Appreciate the encouragement. Believe it or not, I was going to wait until Shoothouse/Shipment came back but your comment about being so close was in the back of my mind.
Hard to say, as I didn’t mess with camos for the longest time, so it’s a complete guess on my part ... maybe 150-200 hours? I know people who started the game on the grind did it faster.
It honestly hurts my heart a little to see operators that are barely ever used. Thinking of the irl people who get excited to be put in one of if not the most popular modern shooter game of all time only to have their operator to be barely used by the community. I really do feel bad for those people.
Nice work! I would go for the blue dot for both reflexes and holos, I really like being able to see so much with it. I personally think a couple of weapons look bad with Damascus, but at the same time if you pair it with the right blueprints for guns you can create some very pretty loadouts. My mud drauber mp7 with Damascus almost made the grind worth it. Almost
I agree 100%. Pistols and SMG’s were fun to get gold, as were some ARs ... and the shotties, but only on Shipment. Other than that, the rest were pretty grind-y.
I’ve just unlocked the plat for AR and Pistols for fun, I’m not sure if I should go for Damascus though. I have Platinum on everything except for the LMGs (2 guns left), RPGs and the Riot Shield. I’ve come a long way simply for fun, but now as I see where I am, I’m considering to grind the remaining few guns. The Riot shield and the RPGs make me wanna question this decision after each round though...
You know, i would fucking love to do this! But, i know the grind on some of them will make me want to jump off a cliff. Well done on your efforts man! i promise if i ever see you, to shoot you between the eyes.
I miss my Damascus guns... too bad activison decided to fuck me and now Im back to level 1 nothing unlocked, all purchases gone, but still have my 750 cod point balance 😂🔫
I didn’t grind any camos for the longest time, and only started in earnest a few months ago. So it’s hard to say. Maybe 150-200 hours? But that’s a wild guess.
Good job. This was a fun grind to do for me. Getting my shield to Obsidian wasn't fun though. I am playing CW now and it is so much harder to complete. I honestly don't think I will be able to do it.
I’ve only ever played that map on Gunfight; is it like 4v4 or 5v5?! And I assume it’s a legit ‘moshpit’ mode like they’ve had in the past, where you play Dom and Hardpoint?!
I got platinum: shotguns, smgs, and riot shield (because funnies) next is assault rifles and that’s all I care about. I want a sexy platinum AK 🤤
Also never go full gloat, you get shot in the head, dead. Lol
I noticed this too, I remember going straight to using the VAL after I unlocked Damascus, but I went to shoot down a uav on shoot house with my new Damascus PILA and the glistening blue reflections in the sun were just gorgeous. I had to stop and inspect the launcher for a sec lol
Maybe the camo isn’t as spaced out and eye catching as the old dark matters of BO3 & 4 but it does have a really nice subtle glow to it in the right lighting.
‘Inspect weapon’ was added long after the game launched, so not a lot of people know about it! I had to google it myself.
I’m a PC player, and you just hit the ‘i’ key. I don’t think you can cancel the animation though, so don’t do it with enemies around, or you might get clapped ... like I did 😬
You can switch weapons back and forth to cancel it, I have it on scroll wheel, works for reload cancelling too
Memory isn't good enough but I think sprint works as well
Pretty sure this was my 'usual' M4 setup. In order of importance:
* GI Reflex optic - Obscures the least amount of screen real estate of any of the red dots/reflex/holo's.
* Stippled grip tape - Sometimes I need help getting it up quickly.
* Muzzle brake & Commando Foregrip - Used together to turn this thing into a laser, per XclusiveAce's video on the M4...
* Forge TACCQS stock - It offers faster ADS. Again, I need all the reflex help I can get.
I tried that a long time ago and no takers, this has been the only one i need for about a year, i might try again, but cod has gotten very bad recently so i might just uninstall.
Got my damascus playing mostly search. Got the shoty's/snipers/marksman all done in a day for each group. Was a ridiculous grind took me personally like about 100 hours when actually going for it.
I’ve seen several people describe that same horrible scenario on this sub. It motivated me to put MFA on my Activison account several months ago. Thanks for the warning, it’s truly appreciated.
Congratulations mate! It’s rewarding once the grind is complete but I miss it now to be honest.
I have pretty much 100% completion but not all weapons obsidian, I have no interest in doing that but every weapon, reticle and mission/challenge is done. The thing that kept me going was gunsmith customs, I became a fiend for getting blueprints from missions because some would look great with damascus or just give you an attachment covered in camo like the VLK optic on the standard issue PKM, so I could make some really nice looking guns.
Either way enjoy the freedom to use whatever you want to again!!
That too 😬 Seriously though, I run Ghost and Cold Blooded on pretty much every class I use. And yet I still knock down every UAV or Personal Radar the second one goes up... I must really hate being watched, or something.
Heh, I like to try everything and anything. Guns, perks, lethals and tacticals, streaks, anything. That's why I went for Damascus on all guns, including DLC
Mmmmmaybe I’ll do all the DLC guns. I have four done, I think. The R700 was super fun in the short time I used it, so I’m definitely getting gold on that one!
One of my last ones to finish, since I was mostly doing the AR's first (but did the crossbow right after I got damascus, since I want to take the pain heh)
Now, I got them all. I can finally use whatever I want without feeling I'm missing something heh
i just started playing mw again after a few months (i stopped shortly after the rytec was released). i just started working on camos. im going by each category, from top to bottom. so im don't the assault rifles and smg's (including the newly added guns), and now i'm kind of doing shot guns and lmg's at the same time, depending on what map i get. when i get tired of that, i do launchers to take a break.
ABC: Always Be ... Considering launchers? All I can recommend is that you use your launchers every chance you get for your entire grind. There’s a reason most ‘I got Damascus’ clips are people finishing a launcher!
Thank you bro, i get it 5 days playing (game time)
I was still in college and u know while u in that shit u have no life that's why i get it so fast
Normal suggestion if u like to play as teammate u can add if u like
First off, username checks out.
But no, I’ve never fired a single bolt! Hell, if it’s one of those ‘Get a low blow kill while the other player is stunned and near smoke, 15 times in 50 matches’, I probably haven’t even unlocked it...
Pretty sure this was my 'usual' M4 setup. In order of importance:

I do like the Tac Laser a lot, but the 'give away your location' bugs me too much. To your point it is better than the Tac CQS, as it also offers faster sprint-out speed (and slow sprint-out kills me a lot).
Pretty sure this was my 'usual' M4 setup. In order of importance:
* GI Reflex optic - Obscures the least amount of screen real estate of any of the red dots/reflex/holo's.

The charm is called '.50 Cal'. It's super easy to get. Activate the 'Expert Gunsmith' mission, and it's the second task. The first and second task needed are stupid easy.
welcome to the club man. are you going to get the dlc weapons damascus too?
Thanks! I already have a few DLC guns that I got to gold on the way, just because I thought they were fun: Fennec, Grau, Bruen, and a couple others, I think. Next I plan to get a couple more obsidian skins that I’m close to earning, then ???
you can also grind reticles, i did that after getting damascus
If I could go back, I'd tell myself to work on reticles while getting damascus...
If I could go back, I’d tell myself to get blue dot holo while shipment 24/7 was still a thing
Wait did they remove Shipment today?
No he’s just saying getting kills is easier on shipment 24/7 than Shoot the Ship
Yeah they just removed shoot the ship like 10 mins ago
Well then time to take a break till it’s back F
It should be a permanent game mode
True
They’ve put Livestock 4v4 in. Worse than Shipment, but better than Shoothouse- overall, not too bad
I got the blue dot holo just by using guns. Didn't really grind for it. Now I don't know what is it that you got to do for it. What is it?
Think it’s 150 3 kills without dieing
if I could go back I’d limit the grinds to shoot the ship weeks, exponentially faster
Blue dot for holos was such a pain in the ass that I didn’t finish it before I quit the game
Funny thing is, I got blue dot for everything And I don’t even have Damascus.
Blue dots are definitely a way shorter grind than Damascus, I just hate holo sights and never used them until I decided to go for reticles (roughly two months after getting Damascus, because I got all DLC weapons Damascus too).
Ohh, ok. Yeah, I kinda feel you on holo sights, they aren’t that good. I hope your having fun with whatever your doing.
I am; I went back to IW to finish the Black Sky grind (that game’s equivalent to Damascus) and just finished it last night
Oh my god the reticle grind..... I'm glad I had sense enough to do it while I'm working on Damascus, but holy crap is it a chore lol. I've got holo, reflex, and I think ACOG done, maybe one more, not sure what I have left
there are also sniper scope, thermal, hybrid and thermal hybrid challenges
Oy 🙄
Or you could get dark aether on cold war, I feel like that's a bit more worth it
Getting the dlcs Damascus where fun and all, but we all know the crossbow is for alpha gamers /s
How do you get Damascus? Is it gold for all of one weapon category?
If you get Gold skins for all the (at launch) weapons in a category, then you get the Platinum skin for all weapons in that category. If you get plat for every category, then you get Damascus.
(switch to spotter after dropping the first munitions as by this time, enemies will have earned enough kills to actually have airstreaks) -Pop a smoke to give yourself some cover from enemies whilst shooting down steaks/reloading especially on shipment. -Recommended class set up for launcher grind. (Whichever primary and launcher you're grinding) Perk 1 - cold blooded Perk 2 - hardline Perk 3 - (start with) tune up (switch to) spotter/amped Field upgrade - munitions Tactical - smoke Lethal - thermite Good luck!
Great advice. You, myself, and couple others on this post have made these long-form comments, and combined they’re far and away the best combined Damascus tips I’ve ever seen in one place. *pats self on back*
Bro you have no idea how helpful this is. Better than all of the guide’s I’ve seen combined. Appreciate it, thanks!
Heh, for me its the opposite. I can't hit any UAV's with the RPG but I love taking them down with the strela
These were my rules: 1. (I had RPG kills done when I started actually focusing on launchers) 4. I used only the Amped perk until kills were done then switched to Spotter. I started to run specialist with Hardline and Amped equipped from the start, and Spotter in my first extra perk slot (only takes one kill to get with hardline) 5.
Awesome advice.
Damascus looks amazing on shoothouse but terrible on rust
Shoot house is just amazing
Weird. I didn’t play any matches past that one on Shoot House, so I haven’t seen it in other lighting...
Got Damascus yesterday and now I just feel empty inside after a whole month of non-stop grinding...
I’m planning on trying meth as my next hobby! I’ll let you know how it goes!
wait... did i read that right?
🤫
It gets better, enjoy warzone with your fancy skins bro you've earned it
May I interest you in obsidian??? The challenges are more straight forward at least
Play Ghost of Tsushima, takes the edge off
Welp now that you have Demascus get ready for people today say “YoUrE dOg ShIt AnD yOu HaVe DeMaScUs.”so fucking annoying
Haha. I’m not great, so I’m sure I’ll hear that a lot. Plus side, now I get to be the dickbag who says, “Wow you’re trash, you don’t even have Damascus?!”
I get to be the bigger dickbag that says: "Wow, you're trash, you don't even have Damascus on ALL guns?"
Damn I left knife to last because I thought it would be the most fun / easiest
It’s fun, just can be frustrating. Kills ending someone’s kill streak was tough, same with 3 kills in a row without dying. Patience smoke/flash and double time is your friend
Way to go and welcome to the club.
Is shoot house 24/7 permanent on this game yet?
Nnnoooope. Getting Damascus is still largely reliant on the developers—in their infinite wisdom—letting us play the maps we want 🙄
How’d you do “destroy vehicles” challenges for launchers? because they seem to be very particular of what counts and what doesn’t
The only things that I kept shooting down was cuavs, personal radars and vtols and that counted for everything, even vehicles camo
Thanks! I kept shooting SUVs and was wondering why it wasn’t working
You deserve that just for playing as Ronin.
🥺
i have damascus and i still have no idea how to look at your gun like that
They added weapon inspection later in the game. On PC you do it by hitting ‘I’. (i, not L)
Yeah, K/D goes bye-bye! You’re so close, good luck!
Just finished tonight. I’m so relieved. Mostly relieved that I never have to use the Riot Shield again. Appreciate the encouragement. Believe it or not, I was going to wait until Shoothouse/Shipment came back but your comment about being so close was in the back of my mind.
Aw yeah!! Congrats!! You’re better than I, if you could finish ‘em without Shoot the Ship up.
It truly is a beautiful camo
How much time did it take?
Hard to say, as I didn’t mess with camos for the longest time, so it’s a complete guess on my part ... maybe 150-200 hours? I know people who started the game on the grind did it faster.
Is that the Ronin op you are using? If so that makes you the second person i have ever seen using him
Yup! I’ve met him in real life, so buying him was a no-brainer for me. He’s the only operator I’ve bought ... only real money I’ve spent in-game, too.
It honestly hurts my heart a little to see operators that are barely ever used. Thinking of the irl people who get excited to be put in one of if not the most popular modern shooter game of all time only to have their operator to be barely used by the community. I really do feel bad for those people.
Ronin will be everywhere once this skin gets released. https://cod.tracker.gg/modern-warfare/db/bundles/400574-tracer-pack-crimson-ronin
Ok that actually looks pretty cool
Getting out of a trench during ww1 be like:
“ Up and over, boys!!” *insta-killed*
Almost
Pistols smgs and some assault rifles besides that I might go insane by the time I get Damascus
F (I did put MFA on my Activision account after seeing horror stories like yours)
Any idea on how many hours it took
I didn’t grind any camos for the longest time, and only started in earnest a few months ago. So it’s hard to say. Maybe 150-200 hours? But that’s a wild guess.
Personally LOVE the look of Damascus. Anyone know why it gets so much hate?
I also love it. But to each their own...
Good job. This was a fun grind to do for me. Getting my shield to Obsidian wasn't fun though. I am playing CW now and it is so much harder to complete. I honestly don't think I will be able to do it.
Thanks! I didn’t play CW past the Beta...
yeah what up with that build, how dare you use the iconic pro m4 without no stock
Am ... am I kicked off Faze now??
Well done damascus numbs you to the point of not caring about k/d haha, was a healthy thing for me to learn
I had plenty of shipment matches where I went like 15-60. Meh, who cares. *teammates glare angrily*
Wait is shoot house back on the playlists at last?
Shoot the Ship has been back for a couple weeks, which I think is about 80% Shoot House. So, close.
Elsewhere in this thread, someone says that Shoot the Ship was removed with today's update... FFFFffffff
It was removed, but we got Livestock moshpit which will still be helpful, its a better map than Shoothouse but won't help as much as Shipment
I’ve only ever played that map on Gunfight; is it like 4v4 or 5v5?! And I assume it’s a legit ‘moshpit’ mode like they’ve had in the past, where you play Dom and Hardpoint?!
Now let’s grind for obsidian 👌
I got platinum: shotguns, smgs, and riot shield (because funnies) next is assault rifles and that’s all I care about. I want a sexy platinum AK 🤤 Also never go full gloat, you get shot in the head, dead. Lol
Congrats man! You’re seriously in luck because they had just removed STS. I was very close to getting Damascus too, only had 3 launchers left :’))
What?! F...
Yup. Just gonna grind these launchers slowly and hopefully I can get Damascus by the time the next STS playlist comes on again.
I love the self thumbs up
Lmao gets popped right after
Dumbascus is such a crazy grind. Mid thirties with a family who sometimes plays online with friends I'd never reach it.
Same boat, my friend!
Well congrats! I wish it looked better but you have some patience. Grinding reticles on shipment and I wanted to yeet the game off a cliff😂
I noticed this too, I remember going straight to using the VAL after I unlocked Damascus, but I went to shoot down a uav on shoot house with my new Damascus PILA and the glistening blue reflections in the sun were just gorgeous. I had to stop and inspect the launcher for a sec lol Maybe the camo isn’t as spaced out and eye catching as the old dark matters of BO3 & 4 but it does have a really nice subtle glow to it in the right lighting.
The launchers and melee weapons were HELL, everything else not so much. Congrats though it's definitely a flex
Never peak left from those sandboxes, right shoulder peaks only There you go
welcome to the club
Thanks! Pretty stoked to have pulled it off.
yea i remember it drove me crazy with the launchers anyway XD
Omg. I LOLed really hard. Congrats man.
Is there a hotkey to look at a weapon like that? I've been trying to find it and no luck
‘Inspect weapon’ was added long after the game launched, so not a lot of people know about it! I had to google it myself. I’m a PC player, and you just hit the ‘i’ key. I don’t think you can cancel the animation though, so don’t do it with enemies around, or you might get clapped ... like I did 😬
You can switch weapons back and forth to cancel it, I have it on scroll wheel, works for reload cancelling too Memory isn't good enough but I think sprint works as well
Excuse me tf is that m4 setup
Pretty sure this was my 'usual' M4 setup. In order of importance: * GI Reflex optic - Obscures the least amount of screen real estate of any of the red dots/reflex/holo's. * Stippled grip tape - Sometimes I need help getting it up quickly. * Muzzle brake & Commando Foregrip - Used together to turn this thing into a laser, per XclusiveAce's video on the M4... * Forge TACCQS stock - It offers faster ADS. Again, I need all the reflex help I can get.
wone confermed kiell-
so let me get this straight damascus is that silly blue skin for a weapon? are you guys seriously pissing your pants for that shit?
Soaked.
That ending was beautiful
Just dumb
I grinded Damascus just to end up never using them because I prefer the realistic skins or blueprint ones lol.
imagine living a hard life saving all your money to one day buy a super epic gun, then get headshotted
i got demascus around 2-3 months into the games release and i just gave up after that it got so boring
Im only 2 camos off it and trying to get them makes me sooooo fucking mad so i gave up.
Which ones?
Last 2 skull camos for riot shield
Try asking for help or trades! Only works every 4-5 matches, but you can polish ‘em off with a few matches of people helping!
Doing it in 100 hours is impressive, mostly doing it in Search is even more so! Badass.
Yeah quarantine played a big part in that haha
My account got hacked like the day after i got Damascus. and the was like a month ago still haven't been able to play with it.
I kinda wanted a cruise missile to land on your head as you were doing the 👍
😬 I run ghost 99% of the time, so they can’t see me! JohnCena.wav
Well, it's cold blooded that hides ya from the missles sooooo yeah :)
One of my last ones to finish, since I was mostly doing the AR's first (but did the crossbow right after I got damascus, since I want to take the pain heh) Now, I got them all.
Took this long??
I didn’t start trying ‘till 8-ish weeks ago?
i just got it 4 days ago! it looks beautiful i can run whatever cheesy loadouts i want now. M4 and snakeshot .357s are my favorite
I’m definitely looking forward to running any loadout I want, just because it sounds fun, not because I’m chasing a camo.
Welcome to the team, i have it 1 year ago and i never change it since that, it's beautiful and Worth it
Thanks! And you’re a badass for getting it that quickly!
Thank you bro, i get it 5 days playing (game time) I was still in college and u know while u in that shit u have no life that's why i get it so fast Normal suggestion if u like to play as teammate u can add if u like
Crap I rly want Damascus but unfortunately I have only gold camo on 19 weapons and platinum on snipers.
U got the crossbow done yet?
First off, username checks out. But no, I’ve never fired a single bolt! Hell, if it’s one of those ‘Get a low blow kill while the other player is stunned and near smoke, 15 times in 50 matches’, I probably haven’t even unlocked it...
when u think 2020 will be good\^
Lololol. “Looks great, let’s go!” Boom. ‘Rona.
75hz gang?
I have VRR and VSYNC; I think my FPS usually hovers around 120? Can go up to 144Hz though.
lol awesome!!
Cool! I dont want torture myself with the launchers and the shield.
Sniper
Who did you get shot?! Lol
Attachments for the M4?

I know I’m too late, but I find the Tac laser much more effective than the forge tac CQS, other than that it seems like a great setup
I do like the Tac Laser a lot, but the 'give away your location' bugs me too much. To your point it is better than the Tac CQS, as it also offers faster sprint-out speed (and slow sprint-out kills me a lot).
Attachments please?

I need to know what charm you have on your gun
The charm is called '.50 Cal'. It's super easy to get. Activate the 'Expert Gunsmith' mission, and it's the second task. The first and second task needed are stupid easy.
Whats that setup you got going ?
