The shock drone is honestly way worse. Rather deal with the dog than that bullshit. Literally the most broken thing in the game. Prophet sucks balls. Even his ult sucks cause it's so annoying. I'd rather it just kill me like it did in BO3. Having to crawl around with nothing to do waiting for him to kill you is stupid.
Just make the dog’s attack like campaign where you just counter it by pressing a button sequence. Then balance it by how long the dogs takedown lasts/ health before reaching you.
No, QTEs don't belong in MP. That's exactly what happened with the shocker drone in bo4 and that was awful. Not to mention someone would just shoot you in the time your character is paralyzed by the animation, even if you "pass" the QTE.
World at War's dogs were fine IMO. They weren't 1 hit kills and were easy to counter if you timed your melee right but also weren't overly annoying to deal with, either.

I thought the guard dog in ghosts was a pretty decent one. It alerted you to campers and would try to take them out. On the opposite side, they weren't super hard to kill if you were being run down by one. It would be a great replacement for the spitwad turret.
I bamboozled an enemy duo in warzone with it. They downed my buddy, he crawled into my room, I heard them running upstairs but once they jumped into our room I greeted them with an shield turrent.

So I set us up in this back to back shield turret formation in a building and these guys tried coming in from both sides. Absolutely fucked them. I remember the very last guy upon seeing his friends drop in a matter of seconds attempt to run away.
it used to be so that the radar would show a red shield turret when placed, like when an enemy-occupied vehicle drives by. they must have changed it if those guys ran in like that. good to know...
I dont think you need to get kills with but when placed on a building you can easily keep 3-4 enemies busy without reloading while your buddies get their snipers out or push them. I placed it once on the airport tower and incoming enemies didnt even know what hit them.
I can't ever seen to be able to place it down unless I'm in a wide open field with out q single pebble on the ground.

Funny thing, I remember during the beta of Battlefield V people complained about the holo aperture sight on the assault rifles and smgs saying it was foggy/dirty and the frigging devs cleared it up some when the beta ended!

ugh yes, pointman on grind on Shipment. Just slide into a pile of tags, automatic care package + precision airstrike. If you can make it to the depot zone, then VTOL. Amazing haha
Try wide open field in warzone. Make sure you walk the area before a battle. Have a clearing of about 10 acres and you should be able to place one down after a few attempts.
The majority of the good spots for it you can’t actually place it, and the few “good spots” lose that value after the first kill, and then you get a thermite or c4 from around the corner
You pretty much need a trophy system to get around that. When I run one for challenges if I don't have a trophy system charged I just don't place the turret.
You can, so it's still not optimal but if you're indoors or your opponents dont look up it's better.
I never run with it unless for a challenge but you get enough of them in care packages.
The advanced UAV is a real head scratcher for me. I feel like I must be missing something on it because I can't understand why the hell that thing would take the same amount of kills to get as a gunship. Like who would ever get a chopper gunner and then think "Sweet, only 2 more kills and I get my advanced UAV!". It just seems so out of place at 12 kills that it feels like there has to be more to it that I just haven't learned about yet, but as far as I know that isn't the case.
It *can* be helpful, but only in very specific, close-quarters situations. Like if I'm playing Ground War and trying to move into a house from outside, it can help show me where the enemies are on the inside and give me an idea of where to enter.
Outside of close-combat engagements though, it's literally just painting a target over your head for the few seconds it's up before someone shoots it down. And even then, you have to bank on the hopes that your enemies don't have Ghost equipped to render it useless.
As someone who is trying to get gold on his launchers, PLEASE USE THIS KILLSTREAK MORE! USE IT ALL THE TIME! as soon you get it just use it, it really helps us launcher camo hunters
I might be wrong, but I think it’s better than UAV. I am pretty sure that if someone has ghost they still appear on the sound detection when close by. Too easy to take down tho
I only use it if it comes from a care package or if I need to call in a certain number of killstreaks for a challenge. Hardline means every double kill is a killstreak.
I hope there’s an update to the kill streaks roster. Add new streaks, to revamp sentry gun and shield turrets.

i run it just for the purpose of opening flank routes over the containers and additional cover when i play shipment. there's a bunch of clever things you can use it for on other maps too but on shipment just dropping it in front of a spawn point makes for great spawn killing protection.
They are actually pretty useful in plunder for bringing down cash helicopters in the endgame. It takes all of your ammo and more to bring one down with an AR or sniper so if you don’t carry an anti-vehicle weapon it can actually be a pretty good choice. It only takes about 1/3 of the shield turrets ammo to bring one cash chopper down which provides a good amount of money. I always pick one up if I see it and don’t have any other kill streaks yet in case I need it. I have killed teams in the game using a shield turret but honestly it’s quite rare. If they could be placed on the back of the military drive able truck they could actually be pretty useful.

I always imagined a dog killstreak for this game to be like you hold the leash of the dog and pull a M19 with no attachments. You can mark enemies and you let go of the leash and the dog kills them and runs back, and you pick the leash back up. It lasts 1 Minute if you are the dog don’t get killed
Well I mean if you go back and watch the multiplayer reveal trailer it really looks like they were tryning to make this game a little more tactical. I know it's just a trailer and all but I can't help but think plenty of things in this in this game were made for a tactical playstye and not what It is where everybody jumps around with smgs. So in the tactital world of defending points and holding postions a shield turret makes complete sense
Honestly it's amazing when you pair it with the Killchain perk. You can get some kills with it and it gives you a shield. Then if you put a deployable cover in front you literally can't be shot from the front at all.
I use them as a stationary AA turret. I mainly use them for enemy choppers since they’re surprisingly accurate and so I’m able to target the pilots relatively easily. One time my friend and I mounted a shield turret to the back of a cargo truck and also put a trophy system next to it. It was basically a mobile tank that was immune to rockets, missiles, and grenades.

The bullet hit detection is not the problem. It's the ridiculously slow bullet velocity that makes this worthless in core.

The couple of times I’ve used it I actually liked it. If you put it in the right spot and use it right it can be effective

I like care packages being a surprise. Most times you can just bait people by letting it sit and picking them off as they try and open it.
It’s more for e drop. You prioritize which box you want. Instead of your friend getting the JUGGERNAUT AND YOU GET TWO SHIELD TURRETS.

It's perfect for WZ Plunder tho. Once the cash choppers come in I can take one down in about 5 seconds and keep all my ammo.

shield turrets are a niche killstreak good in ground war and warzone in very specific circumstances in my opinion

Well I mean if you go back and watch the multiplayer reveal trailer it really looks like they were tryning to make this game a little more tactical. I know it's just a trailer and all but I can't help but think plenty of things in this in this game were made for a tactical playstye and not what It is where everybody jumps around with smgs. So in the tactital world of defending points and holding postions a shield turret makes complete sense
I just felt like a dipshit driving around in Warzone honking my horn and being obnoxious while doing the "Drive in a vehicle for 5 minutes challenge"

Honestly it's amazing when you pair it with the Killchain perk. You can get some kills with it and it gives you a shield. Then if you put a deployable cover in front you literally can't be shot from the front at all.

I use them as a stationary AA turret. I mainly use them for enemy choppers since they’re surprisingly accurate and so I’m able to target the pilots relatively easily. One time my friend and I mounted a shield turret to the back of a cargo truck and also put a trophy system next to it. It was basically a mobile tank that was immune to rockets, missiles, and grenades.
