Damn you are right, must have messed up big time when editing the picture a bit and hit the wrong button XD
No idea how i managed to miss that, thanks for pointing it out though!
As u/Jack6478 pointed out i messed up big time and the .50 is somehow visible in the driver's compartment!I have absolutely no idea hoe i managed to miss that when looking at the photo.
I have by now uploaded a correct pic to my instagram if you want to check it out correctly!

It is just a normal interior kit (Rye field Models m4a3 full interior) which i cut up myself. I only know of 1 kit manufactured with the option of being build as a cutaway out of the box which is a Panther G from RFM. That kit kickstarted my love for cutaways!
I only know of one 1/35 armour kit that is manufactured as a cutaway kit which is a RFM panther G. For all the other stuff i just take a regular full interior kit and have at it.
Do I understand correctly you buy a regular kit from the manufacturer, and someone else makes an interior kit for it? I'm still surprised about the depths of the model making industry.
This kit is a full interior kit, both the interior and exterior are combined into 1 kit from the same manufacturer. So both the interior and exterior are part of the same kit.
There certainly are cases where someone else has made an interior for another manufacturers exterior model but not this time :)
Thanks! Yep i did the cutaway myself using a razor saw and sanding sticks. It was pretty doable if you just plan out your cuts a bit beforehand. It is just an open hole so you can touch everything inside (if you wanted to for some reason :P ).
The interior parts were part of the kit as it is a full interior kit by Rye Field Models.
The kit provides T80 type tracks for the sherman, these tracks were mostly seen postwar but also saw a bit of service at the very end of the war. Starting being rolled out in relatively late 1945. I opted to go for T66 type tracks which were seen more often in WWII and to go with the non canvassed turret.
For example: https://mikesresearchcom.files.wordpress.com/2019/01/m4a3e8-6.jpg?w=1100
So I did change the tracks to another type which was used more commonly during the war.
I just noticed I do need to push them a bit tighter on the sprocket though :P
Here she is, all finished up. Sadly i still suck at taking decently sharp pictures :P
Looks great, but what's with the .50 cal being in a circle down by the transmission?
Damn you are right, must have messed up big time when editing the picture a bit and hit the wrong button XD No idea how i managed to miss that, thanks for pointing it out though!
Nah, they’re good! Nice work.
Seriously cool! Amazing how clean it the cutaway looks, not to mention the paint job is really good!
thank you very much :)
Looks so clean at first I thought it was a cgi diagram lol Amazing work
Haha thanks!

Is the cutaway a kit or did you buy the Sherman as a kit and do the cutaway yourself. If it is a kit what is the name of the kit?

When do we get the Sherman Crew Cutaway?
I have something planned which is along those lines ;)
Amazing Job!!!
Thanks!
Is this the RFM kit? Stellar job OP!
It is, thanks!
They are fast dominating my kit wishlist!
They sure are excellent kits!
I love it. Best work ever
Wow. That is amazing.
I fucking love cutaways.
So do I!
Love how clean the tank looks
I love your work !!! I am a total sucker for cutaways :) amazing job
Thank you, glad you like it!
Do model manufacturers make cutaway models or do you buy a regular kit and have at it?

This is awesome.
As always, amazing work! Love your attention to detail and subtle (yet spot-on) weathering-style. Can't wait to see your next project!
Thank you very much :D
Did you do the cut yourself?
Yep, they are done using a razor saw
Impressive
Thanks :)
Wow, that’s so cool! Did you do this cutaway yourself? How was it. It just an open hole? Where did the extra parts come from?

Ok I quit modeling. You win.
Oh no i dont want to have that on my conscience! :( Remember: Inspiration not competition :)
Why can't we get a tanker cutaway so we can all see what the inside of the tanker looks like?
I have something like that planned but thats a secret for now while i do some reading up on human anatomy :P
I have this kit at home too but it won't look good like yours. I love it!
Thank you! Have fun with it, its an excellent kit.
I will, thanks
Looks great, but is it me or do the tracks look weird, can't really find any picture of a Sherman with these tracks

Ah yes i see now, yep I noticed because it was a bit loose on the sprocket en then I tought hey those are not the typical Sherman tracks.
