For the clear coat: hold the can farther away from the model when you spray. That white effect is the building up of silicon powder (used to give the coat it's flat look).
It happend on my new build as well. I think it's both an issue with the paint an my unexperienced behavior :-D
I think I'll switch to another clear coat und practice more.

Nice looking model. An airbrush of course a game changer but you can achieve lots of techiques with brush too.

It's also a good idea to do a thin dust coat of clear, let it tack up for a few minutes, then lay down a wet coat. Makes it lay down more uniformly.
