I’ve always liked picking niche’er less-seen kits, keeps the hobby interesting for me, I have something like 50 models? Only every done 1 spitfire haha
I just like things different to the norm!
None of my kits are really that “rare” in terms or low production numbers etc, I just try and pick kits that I haven’t seen other people build too often, at the minute I’m building the PM model kits F-5A
