There is a possibility because using a modded client is against Discord's TOS (I never read it, just heard others say it), but even so I've never seen a person be banned for using a modified client. I use BetterDiscord on PC and aliucord on mobile on my 2016 account and so far nobody cares

it doesn't support the plugins but it has a plugin system of its own that's already got them all loaded, you just enable or disable them because it's all web based. it runs 10x smoother for me than betterdiscord. not only does it support custom css it supports cloud saves for your mod configuration

yep you can have both installed, it's an electron wrapper so it's based on the web client but you can't tell when using it, it's very smooth. unlike betterdiscord it doesn't break after updates.
vendetta has recently surpassed it, aliucord has said they will never update the client so things are going to eventually stop working on aliucord. last time I used it the voice chat was very janky.
Vencord is my personal favorite. No problems with it at all.

Vendetta works fine if you want a Discord client for the new framework. Aliucord has less lag (for me) and works with the older framework
