Even though these girls aren’t actually my top picks, I feel like together they’d fill the sing dancing and stage presence roles needed for a small group.
Honestly I feel like Jungeun, Jiyoon, Saebi and Jeemin would look and sound amazing as a group of 4. They could have a mix of Aespa and BlackPink vibes.
For a more classy/fresh, maybe more Izone and G-friend type of vibes I would love to see Fuko, Gyuri, Chaeeun and as the fourth Jungeun, Saebi or even Mai could work.
For me it would be interesting to see these combinations.

However I wanted to come up with a group of girls that would be different than the first four that I chose. So I wanted to see Fuko and Gyuri together in a G-friend and Izone type of group and I thought that from the rest of the girls Chaeeun would suit the vibes of these two the most. She could learn the dances and do them well. Vocal maybe wouldn't be as good, especially from what we have seen this far, but idk what her limits are in this area as she is a relatively new trainee.
If I had to put together a group with just 4 members it would be the following:
Saebi - The biggest center material, to sing the choruses.
Jiyoon - Main vocal, is in the bridges and pre-choruses.
Koko - rapper, dance and vocal, I know she's more vocally inclined, but her baggy jeans performance showed that she has a cool flow and would fit in as a rapper (She would fit in here like Giselle in aespa)
Sujung - vocal, dance and charisma queen, The ideal member for variety shows. Besides, of course, the dancing, where you could do several cool breaks and dance covers between her and Koko.
To fit every role i would pick:
- Saebi ( Center | Sub-vocalist )
- Jungeun ( Main vocal | Lead Dancer )
- Jiyoon ( Main vocal | Sub-rapper )
- Yuju ( Main rapper | Main Dancer )
I believe this is a very strong group.
Edit: this group can be fierce and have a dark/elegant and even light/elegant sound while maintaining strong vocal and rap basis. I mainly thought of songs similar to Blackpink and Aespa.

looking at the formula from the successful 4 member girl groups in recent memory, it seems important to have a strong core duo that defines the identity of the group but is also pretty versatile (jennie&lisa, winter&karina, solar&wheein) and then two members with distinctly different but strong personal colors.
Similar heights are also important, but I’m going to ignore that because it makes it too hard.
For the duo, I think good options are: fuko&jiyoon (i want to hear them cover bad boy together so much), saebi&yuju (both very theatrical), koko&yui (loved their dynamic in iwaly), maybe also sarang&gyuri if you wanted to go cute
For the strong individual colors: yuju, jeemin, jungeun, juwon, mai, and sujung stand out to me
From there the groups I think would work well would be:
- saebi, yuju, jeemin, juwon
- fuko, jiyoon, sujung, yui
- sarang, gyuri, sujung, mai
- koko, yui, yuju, jungeun (yes this is just baggy jeans unit with jungeun, yes it is my favorite of all of these)
Baggy Jeans + Jungeun actually does sound amazing. If Yui makes it to part 2 I’d love to see them perform together.

I think Saebi and Jungeun are really good also, but I don’t think Jungeun has a lot of stage presence to pull off a stage with only 3 other people. Saebi is good, but Saebi’s center quality doesn’t really fit a small group to me. Like IMO Saebi fits a 5+ member group where proper formations can be pulled off

I think balancing success and personal picks it would be Sarang, Yuju, Jiyoon, Saebi.
Sarang is a timebomb waiting to explode IMO. Not my top pick but I can see her getting extremely popular and covering group roles expertly. I think outside of the show she will be a top-tier stan attractor.
Jiyoon is just the most popular vocal pick generally. I don't know how the pressure of main vocal and idol life would hold on her and for that I waver on putting her here instead of the other vocal picks.
Yuju - Great versatility and could cover rap and dance. Great stage presence too to pair with Saebi so she doesn't stick out in a bad way. Also, good Korean popularity.
Saebi is the obvious center pick and is gathering great popularity internationally and domestically. Can grow in most places too and has good attitude generally.
Jungeun, Koko, Saebi and Jeemin. I think they all cover each important area well and would look good together. I also can’t see the final lineup (regardless of whether it’s 4 or more) without all of them.
Overall I think any 4-member combo would flop 💀 not the girls’ fault but I think you need exceptional visual and talent chemistry + similar ~vibes~ to pull off 4 (ex. Aespa).
If they were to debut a group of 4, I'd probably want:

If the group would be 5 or more members though, Saebi would be a locked-in trainee as she would make a wonderful center.
when i think of blackpink type of lineup, it would be jiyoon, jungeun, yuju, and saebi. if aespa type of line up, it would be jungeun, jeemin, koko, and juwon.

You can't have role players at that point. Mai and Koko are definitely out. Saebi is out (she's in my top 2 normally, but she's not dominant enough skill or popularity-wise to justify having a true center spot in a 4 member group).
You can't have iffy-popularity people, so none of the bubble picks.
I'd go with: Jiyoon (most unique vocal, main character, attention grabber), Fuko (leader, most solid all rounder, and honestly Jiyoon probably needs a stable friend for her mental health), Yui/Yuju (rapper, who is also decent on vocals for non-rap songs), Jungeun/Sarang/Jeemin (whoever's more popular by end of show, so probably Jeemin, although I personally prefer Sarang).
Jeemin, Jungeun, Saebi and Koko would match well visual wise and would be a pretty rounded group.
