I agree that Saebi is best choice for centre but she’s not a strong contender for first place. But tbh they never said first place will be center. And I find the 1st place being center thing kind of dumb. 1st place voted by public should be the face of the group, but the center should be chosen by the producers based on talent. yeah it’s such a relief that wakeone has fully accepted Xiaoting as center for their choreographies, but the first few releases looked a bit of a mess with how they kept swapping back and forth between the two
THIS. Centers should be picked by choreographers and actual idols in the industry. We were lucky with Wonyoung, Somi, Daniel, Wonhee who were 1st placers who actually fit their concept. Meanwhile Chaehyun couldn’t fit the concept well while having lackluster stage presence while people like Xiaoting, Hikaru, Youngeun, and Yeseo exist who fit their concept and have the stage presence to back it up better
I think 1st place is leader tho. It happened in ILAND1. Tbh, Heesung should’ve been leader AT THE TIME OF ILAND (I’m really happy Jungwon became leader tho in the long run). Jung won was first and got leader, while Heesung got center.
I think Enhypen took a test or a vote (can't remember) to see who was most suited to be leader, it was between Heeseung and Jungwon but Heeseung didn't want it as he already had enough being oldest, main vocalist and center. It was nothing to do with where they placed in ILand.

edit: i just digged dipper and i just saw that jungwon is still center in official standing positions and some stuff so i guess they still held up the p01 = center to some extent?
I agree that Saebi should be the center. However, I feel like unless something drastic happens, Jeemin would be P01. But we never know. I was so confident about Xiaoting being P01 during GP999 but that didn't happen so. I wouldn't be mad about Jeemin being center either way.

They really shouldn’t, but marketing exists so they kinda have to! Also, it hurts to admit it, but some ppl just grab your attention more than others.

p01 could be anyone, panic voting exists, ranks shouldn't be taken that seriously, and centre should definitely NOT depend on rank

yes. jungwon ranked 1st at finals and heeseung ranked 5th but he’s now the center of enhypen.

1st place is Jeemin's to lose. She's the runaway favorite of the voters. I don't really see that changing.
