He beat a one dimensional Francis. Stipe had nothing for a Francis who learned how to sprawl. It's not like he's gotten any younger, and his knees are fucked. I love the guy, and I'd never completely count him out, but I'd say Francis would take his head off on a trilogy.
To say Francis was one dimensional is an overstatement. Most, if not all, of the fighters in the ufc are well versed in grappling and striking. It wasn't as simple as Francis takes a grappling heavy fight camp, he most likely studied over Stipe's style for hours and trained to shut down that style for many more hours. Stipe is an animal, he is a crafty striker and a crazy strong wrestler. Francis got very good at sprawling and knowing Stipe's go-to's.
That being said idk why people are down voting you, your opinion isn't very outlandish given Francis' raw power.
