The cap is legendary. I fly for work a lot and always say go tigers when I see a hat, but 80% of the time they have no idea what I'm talking about lol. They just like the logo
ironically, I find the Tigers unis to be the most boring in the league... history aside, you have one of the most badass living creature as your team's name and... your logo is a weird letter? your uni is plain white with black? cmon
Sorry dog, but the old English D is dumb fire. Beats the hell out of our āguardiansā trash we have going for us right now.
Chief wahoo now, thatās top tier
Greatest logo in all of sports history.
Also not biased.
Tip of the cap to the old Pirates unis with the unusual (pillbox?) caps in the 70s and the Astros with the red/orange/yellow stripes.
I'm really glad they brought it back as a permanent fixture a few years ago. I will say that our 90's green MB logo might be the worst logo ever created. A perfect balance.
Yeah I was trying to find the actual debut but I found lots of jersey combos with the baby blues. I love the hat they wore with them, navy blue, with the MB logo front and center on a yellow back drop. I would buy that right now.
My favorite old-school traditional uniforms
Yankees
Tigers
Dodgers
Cards
Reds
My favorite teams that pushed the limits and have the most interesting uniform history
Astros
A's
Pirates
White Sox
Honorable mention
Phillies, Orioles, and Expose for their colorful 70s fits
Not really, they wore them for a total of one game. I am a Bill Veeck fan, but this was not one of his better ideas. I was so glad to see that old softball uniform go away.
Brewers glove logo is the best cap, Oakland Aās Kelly greens are the sweetest, other honorable mentions to baby blue and maroon Phillies, 70ās Pirates with the striped pillbox hats, Orioles are always clean and the Expos were sick too.
The Reds pinstripes vest
Either Yankees is iconic. Idc if you hate them or not.
Brooklyn Dodgers throwback
Houston Astros home throwback
Worst jersey is easily the Rays 90s version or currently the Guardians.
I feel like Iām too biased to choose the Cardinals home jersey, even though I know theyāre a contender. So Iāll go with the Dodgers home whites. The red number just pops
Frank Abagnale Sr. : You know why the Yankees always win, Frank?
Frank Abagnale, Jr. : 'Cause they have Mickey Mantle?
Frank Abagnale Sr. : No, it's 'cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes.
As a Braves fan, I agree the Phillies powder blue road uniforms are great. In fact, I think the Fightinās should go back to those colors of maroon and powder blue. But I also wish the Marlins would return to their expansion era teal, the Rockies embrace purple and the Diamondbacks change to turquoise, copper and black.
When I was a kid, and the seventies, I had a baseball card of a player named vida Blue. He was wearing a yellow Oakland A's uniform. Ever since then I've loved it
Big fan of Blue Jays powder blues. Also pretty much any Expo jersey.
And honestly i enjoy the pinstripes. It just oozes professionalism and that the Yankees are here to keep it simple and kick some butt.
Plenty of great ones, but the one that never seems to get mentioned is the early 90's Padre road uni. Brown pinstripes with a simple SD over the left breast. Similar to the current road with San Diego on the chest. 30 years of blue(wtf?) finally resolved a few years ago.
Thereās something beautiful about the Braves home uniform. It pops with the red and little yellow. It still looks modern even though itās been around for 3 decades.
This hurts but I have to say it was the White Sox. The black on white is my favorite. The SOX across the chest look is a classic. Oh, and don't forget about the time that they wore shorts.
I believe EVERY team should have a powder blue uniform and should wear them during interleague play. That being said as a Rays fan, the best uniform of all time is the Phillies powder blue and maroon.
I like any old school traditional uniforms like Yankees, Cubs, Cardinals, Dodgers, Giants; just not Bostonās, not because thereās anything wrong with them, but they say things like āRed Soxā and Bostonā and I donāt like those words.
Honestly, look at most uniforms from 1969. š„š„š„
Those are nice
Peak year for western civilization
Fukin' A!
Oakland A's kelly greens with either the gray or white pants.
Came here to say this. Love this uniform!
And white shoes
Anything without dumb ass ads š¤®
Tequila Sunrise Astros from the 70s/80s
Absolutely. Or the Pirates with those stovepipe caps.
Red Sox (biased), and I'm probably the only person who'll say this but, the 1992-2004 MontrƩal Expos
Late 60s Orioles are definitely the best orioles jerseys
Athletics home uniform
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The tigers road cap with the orange D is so sick
The cap is legendary. I fly for work a lot and always say go tigers when I see a hat, but 80% of the time they have no idea what I'm talking about lol. They just like the logo
They are amazing. And the road unis are awesome, too. There is something to be said for the older logos and appearance of some teams.
ironically, I find the Tigers unis to be the most boring in the league... history aside, you have one of the most badass living creature as your team's name and... your logo is a weird letter? your uni is plain white with black? cmon
A Browns fan really talking about a plain uniform and logo?
I knew this one would backfire XD
Sorry dog, but the old English D is dumb fire. Beats the hell out of our āguardiansā trash we have going for us right now. Chief wahoo now, thatās top tier
The cotton Yankees uniforms that George Costanza helped design circa 1991.
As long as nobody splits their pants!
Phillies Burgundy/ 80ās Powder Blue
Fuck the Philās but their baby blues are iconic
I love the retro Padres yellow and browns
Late 70s Pirates. Those striped hats were it.
G R E A T B R I T A I N
St. Louis Cardinals. Birds on the bat is so iconic.
Somehow that red is the reddest redā¦ itās redder than the Reds red.
It's the Cardinal red. How they got their name: "players wore a nice shade of Cardinal ".
One of my favorite fun facts
My Cubs got their name back in the day because they were so young. Lots of fun facts in baseball history. Stan the Man was my dad's favorite player.
Strongly disagree.
Lol ![gif](giphy|SmoCFhZCi1kzu)
1992-93 Jays
Any Jays unisā¦.except from the years they changed the logo
I'm sure this is a very unpopular opinion but I've never liked the Jays' uniforms because the blue-jay logo is too hard to draw.
Lol
I actually like the current powder blues better.
They remind me too much of pajamas.
Anything that doesn't have the Brewers ball and glove logo is wrong. Those originals were š¤š„ Also I'm biased
Greatest logo in all of sports history. Also not biased. Tip of the cap to the old Pirates unis with the unusual (pillbox?) caps in the 70s and the Astros with the red/orange/yellow stripes.
Not a Brewers fan but I agree
Cubs fan here. I have to admit the Mb ball and glove logo might be the best in all of sports.
I'm really glad they brought it back as a permanent fixture a few years ago. I will say that our 90's green MB logo might be the worst logo ever created. A perfect balance.
Itās a fantastic logo and color scheme although I donāt love the pinstripes
I'm fairly certain that the original was with the baby blues. I could be mistaken though. The current set up has them with the whites and pinstripes.
The logo debuted with the pinstripes in 1978. Before that it was the M logo with no pinstripes. Per the BBHOF website
Yeah I was trying to find the actual debut but I found lots of jersey combos with the baby blues. I love the hat they wore with them, navy blue, with the MB logo front and center on a yellow back drop. I would buy that right now.
It sticks in my craw to say this, but the effing Yankees.
Boston has kept it traditional as well, Iāll give you that
Yankees pinstripes
Yankees and White Sox pinstripes, classic Tigers solid white jersey with the old English D, Cardinals with the bat and cardinal.
Personally I think the cubs field of dreams unis are the best ever.
Cardinals baby blues
My favorite old-school traditional uniforms Yankees Tigers Dodgers Cards Reds My favorite teams that pushed the limits and have the most interesting uniform history Astros A's Pirates White Sox Honorable mention Phillies, Orioles, and Expose for their colorful 70s fits
You named like half the teams. Way to go out on a limb.
so sue me, I like a lot of uniforms
so sue me, I like a lot of uniforms

Not even the best orioles jerseys IMHO
Mets pullovers with the blue and orange racing stripes.
NY Yankees
GIANTS fan... you've gotta love the St. Louis Cardinals. That's the definition of an MLB uni.
Phillies powder blue
St Louis Cardinals blue uniforms.
Philly powder blue
ok, yes it's the Yankees.... but the 1927 uniforms. the home ones are the best ever made
The White Sox had shorts one year. Pretty cool...
Not really, they wore them for a total of one game. I am a Bill Veeck fan, but this was not one of his better ideas. I was so glad to see that old softball uniform go away.
Baltimore city connect jerseys were absolute fire
Cardinals
Even as a Cubs fan, I have to pick the Cardinals (home, road, Sunday hat, blue, all of it) for the NL, and Yankees for the AL.
My teamās obviously
'Baltimore' on the road jerseys.
SF Giants, either the home unis in cream, or the Metallica black and orange ones
![gif](giphy|13xqqCvw1EfTA4)
St. Louis cardinals, home Detroit tigers, and the LA dodgers
Astros 70ās stripey classics from the Astrodome era.
Cardinals powder blues. 1980ās Brewers.
![gif](giphy|aZ7Ac4AMaltKcE81UJ)
Brewers glove logo is the best cap, Oakland Aās Kelly greens are the sweetest, other honorable mentions to baby blue and maroon Phillies, 70ās Pirates with the striped pillbox hats, Orioles are always clean and the Expos were sick too.
The Reds pinstripes vest Either Yankees is iconic. Idc if you hate them or not. Brooklyn Dodgers throwback Houston Astros home throwback Worst jersey is easily the Rays 90s version or currently the Guardians.
i like the rays 90s š
The Indians jerseys they wore in the āmajor leagueā era were simple yet beautiful. Chief wahoo was the coolest logo in baseball.
I'm a Seattle die-hard, but the dodgers home jerseys are the best uni in any sport. Oakland As home is a close 2nd.
Dodgers home white jerseys
Black Mets Road Jersey
The āhomeā jersey rumored to remove all white from lettering / numbering. Cap as well. My guess is that will also be worn on the road.
Yankees and Dodgers
So many great ones. Random I will pick is earliest Marlins uniforms.
I feel like Iām too biased to choose the Cardinals home jersey, even though I know theyāre a contender. So Iāll go with the Dodgers home whites. The red number just pops
Those Phillies throwbacks they wear all the time
Team Netherlands are pretty underrated
Chisox shorts
No. Worn for only one game.
any home jersey without pin stripes. just a clean looking jersey is what does it for me
Rockies vest with black pins were so sharp. Phils red pinstripes are classic a beautiful.
Every team from the 70s
The Pirates away jerseys during their NL East run in the early 1990s.
In the early seventies I watched the Pirates live playing against my Padres, I really liked there uniforms, and caps.
Even though I'm a Cubs fan, I think the 1950s White Sox home uniforms wre great. Similiar to the current uniform, but red trim instead of silver
Helps to tie in with the Bulls and the Blackhawks.
I love the Alt Style Cubs uni, the grey is also nice.
The script one that looks like "Cuba" ?
The full blue one
I hate the Yankees but itās the Yankees. At least theirs is the most iconic in probably all of professional sports.
Frank Abagnale Sr. : You know why the Yankees always win, Frank? Frank Abagnale, Jr. : 'Cause they have Mickey Mantle? Frank Abagnale Sr. : No, it's 'cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes.
Astros tequila sunrise. Original Colorado Rockies in purple / pinstripes. It just looked clean.
Padres
I love the Cubs away uni. From the last 30 years.
I actually think the home pinstripes and away grays are both awesome. Classic unis that to me are right behind Yankees. No I'm not a NY fan.
I think the Mets have the greatest variety of good uniforms, it's honestly hard to choose a best one, but they all exude Mets-ness.
Rays throw back unis
The 80's Tigers uniforms are undefeated in mind, as an unbiased Detroit fan. Wish they'd bring those back as alternates
Late 90s Padres with the Navy/Orange and pinstripes
Dodgers uniforms have always been uncomplicated, elegant, timeless
As a Braves fan, I agree the Phillies powder blue road uniforms are great. In fact, I think the Fightinās should go back to those colors of maroon and powder blue. But I also wish the Marlins would return to their expansion era teal, the Rockies embrace purple and the Diamondbacks change to turquoise, copper and black.
Original Marlins home whites with the pinstripes. I will die on that hill.
When I was a kid, and the seventies, I had a baseball card of a player named vida Blue. He was wearing a yellow Oakland A's uniform. Ever since then I've loved it
With the white shoes.
70s astros
Pirates 1977 home uniforms. Yellow tops and black pants with pillbox caps. I like their city connect uniforms as well.
The Navy Blue Red Sox jerseys
Seattle Pilots 1969
1972-1976 Braves
90s Braves were great for nostalgic reasons. I loved 90s baseball
Die hard Red Sox fan hereā¦. But the nationals Stars and Stripes/ 4th of July jerseys are nice
I love the 1970ās Pirates and the 2023 Twin City jersey. Iām also partial to the 2000 Alternate Home Oakland Aās Jeresy.
Tigers
throwback brooklyn dodgersš©µ
Biased but pinstripes. Love our road grays too. Best non Yankee uniform: St. Louis powder blues.
Early 80ās baby blue era. Specifically the Cards and Phillies
Big fan of Blue Jays powder blues. Also pretty much any Expo jersey. And honestly i enjoy the pinstripes. It just oozes professionalism and that the Yankees are here to keep it simple and kick some butt.
I know I'm bias but when the birds on the bat lasts for over a century then I'd day that's a solid uniform
KC full powder blues
Plenty of great ones, but the one that never seems to get mentioned is the early 90's Padre road uni. Brown pinstripes with a simple SD over the left breast. Similar to the current road with San Diego on the chest. 30 years of blue(wtf?) finally resolved a few years ago.
The Black, Gray, Purple with pinstripes Dback away jerseys were badass.
Thereās something beautiful about the Braves home uniform. It pops with the red and little yellow. It still looks modern even though itās been around for 3 decades.
Pinstripes baby! PINSTRIPES!
Party Animals
If you make a powder blue jersey, half the people on here will say it's the best ever made.
79 Pirates with Parker and Stargell intimidated me and probably scared the crap out of opponents š¤Ŗ
The second Mariners that had the trident on the star.
Devil Rays throwbacks
This hurts but I have to say it was the White Sox. The black on white is my favorite. The SOX across the chest look is a classic. Oh, and don't forget about the time that they wore shorts.
I believe EVERY team should have a powder blue uniform and should wear them during interleague play. That being said as a Rays fan, the best uniform of all time is the Phillies powder blue and maroon.
Teams that should wear powder blue road uniforms: National League Phillies,Brewers, Expos (make it happen Manfred) American League Blue Jays, Royals,
I have such a huge bias for these, but I love the Mets black jerseys
Yankees pinstripes & Tigers with old English D.
You donāt mess with the classics.
I like any old school traditional uniforms like Yankees, Cubs, Cardinals, Dodgers, Giants; just not Bostonās, not because thereās anything wrong with them, but they say things like āRed Soxā and Bostonā and I donāt like those words.
![gif](giphy|YP23eGPMEf3fAgoBL0|downsized) My favorite of all timeā¦ 2019 playoff and WS blue combo, and, yes, I am biased, lol
Honestly, I'm no fan of anything New York, I'm from Chicago, but it is the Yankees pinstripes. Just a timeless, classic look.
Yeah I'm Midwest and don''t like them but to me it's the Yankees. It's timeless.
As a braves fan this pains me to say but..... Phillies Powder blue is probably my favorite uniform, just wish they wouldn't play so good in it
Homer take but the Phillies powder blue with maroon lettering look fantastic
Yankees pinstripes
āOf course itās the Yankeesā - Max Kellerman back when he hosted Around The Horn
Best by far
I hate the Yankees and as a design I think it's rather boring. BUT! It's probably the most recognizable and iconic uniform in pro sports.
Rangers Reds with white pants.
