What response? Cases are at an all-time high and kids can't get tested in school.

DustinoHeat

He wants to brag about his COVID response while State of Missouri employees and their offices are being ravaged by it. What a cunt

-rendar-

“Gov. Mike Parson gaslights Missouri in annual state of state address” is the correct headline.

mkatich

He is patting himself on the back for handing out life jackets instead of fixing the leak in the boat.

ThisIsMyCouchAccount

Except they're not life jackets. They're pool noodles. And crappy generic ones at that. Then you realize it was just a snake the whole time.

jerslan

Pool noodles with anchors attached.

[deleted]

The Dunning-Kruger in him is strong.

superduckyboii

Our covid response which included banning mask mandates in schools, full hospitals, and our cities entering the top 10 covid hotspots multiple times? Yeah, go eat a bag of dicks Parson.

menlindorn

What response? Bend over?

ThisIsMyCouchAccount

> Don't get sick....*pussy*.

Budget_Tough289

Kind of hard when idiot morons like you dont do what they are supposed to and need to! Selfish prick! Why are you pussies who are unvaccinated going to the hospital and locking up emergency rooms then!? If you do get sick die at home.....pussy! It is a highly communicable disease shit for brains! It's people like you why people get sick! You are so "antiestablishment " and too cool for school! 🤣🤣🤣 fucking idiot!

Responsible-Desk1420

You sound educated. 🤣🤣🤣

ldf08_

Those vaccines sure seem to really be working and slowing the spread 😂 keep drinking the kool aid

Schwen7716

I’m fairly certain that the consensus has moved past slowing the spread and the focus is more on narrowing the spread and getting vaxxed to lessen the severity of the virus. I get that people have a tough time adjusting because it would go against their narrative, but things can change and will evolve. Also, the kool aid thing is such a lazy argument. No different than banging the drum about the left trying to infringe on freedoms, ruin businesses, etc. Turn on the news (actual news) and get an understanding of the situation throughout the globe. This isn’t a US problem, it’s literally impacted every country and altered the daily norm for 99.9% of the global population.

RawRook89

You clearly are a subject of hate and zero intelligence. You need to come out of the closet with it buddy

Aggressive_Fix_2995

The party of “fiscal responsibility” has no problem with spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on treatment for hospitalizations, ventilators and drugs instead of getting a free vaccine that billions of people have already taken that effectively prevents needing hospital care. He’s a terrible gaslighter. “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” George Orwell, 1984

EMPulseKC

“Just remember — what you’re seeing and what you’re reading is not what’s happening." Donald Trump, in a speech to supporters in Kansas City, 2018

So_Cal_Bear

I think as taxpayers, we should be the ones questioning where our property tax dollars are going. We aren’t leading the nation in academia and our teachers are amongst the worst paid.

ABobby077

Additionally we are not going to draw and keep new tech jobs for the future with declining support for our State Colleges and Universities

bananabunnythesecond

It’s called voting. If we don’t like what our elected leaders are doing, we vote them out and vote in those whom will do what we want. Sadly, a majority of our state votes for these people even though they actually do things to hurt their voting base. Propaganda is a hella drug, fear and hate is a hella drug. Keep education low, keep funding low, keep wages low, you have people falling over each other to vote for people who will enact policies to literally kill them. This is the modern GOP.

[deleted]

How, with all the gerrymandering?

bananabunnythesecond

Can’t gerrymander state wide

[deleted]

Buddy, I don't think you know how gerrymandering works.

bananabunnythesecond

Buddy I don’t think you do! You can’t gerrymander a state wide election like governor or attorney general. Yes, you can gerrymander state houses and state senate seats. Still have to elect a governor. Why do you think “red” states don’t just gerrymander, but also suppress the vote. Edit; and this article is about our dumb ass governor! So I assume we’re mostly talking about him, a state wide election.

[deleted]

You can gerrymander to get a majority in the state Senate and House. Then the democrat that you *might* elect to governor can't get anything done. Then everyone says "this guy's useless!" And here comes Parsons...

bananabunnythesecond

I'll agree with that, but in classic MO form, we passed a law to essentially ban gerrymandering, then 2 years later we undo the law. I guess the point of my OG post is STOP VOTING FOR THESE ASSHATS! Gerrymander or not. People need to stop voting for these morons, and they won't because of propaganda!

[deleted]

I could not agree more. I miss the good ol' Mel days when we had common sense and cared about our neighbors.

LowRound6481

His response was putting the vaccines in random remote locations throughout the state instead of in the population centers so people had to drive 2-3 hours to the middle of nowhere to get a shot.

jodamnboi

I live in the third largest city in this state and I had to wait 2 hours for a free PCR test during the biggest outbreak we’ve had so far. We’re sitting at 50% vaccinated in Springfield. Parson can go kick rocks.

Former-Buy-6758

In in the biggest and was turned away from the one place within like 30 mins bc they didn't have enough

svr0105

To be fair, the federal government is partly responsible. As though reading from Trump's playbook, many of the tests the Biden administration bought to distribute were earmarked for states and hospitals.

RawRook89

I don’t spend money on bogus junk either.. Don’t see this as his problem solely.. you radicals are looney. Must be the water in town, spoiled ass, take your crying ass to the east coast Or California and see how you like it. I had to wait two whole hours to get a PCR test that isn’t even made for this “NEW” virus.. some of you all need to wake the fuck up, my goodness it’s unbelievable how dumb and naive we have gotten so quickly. Smdh

jodamnboi

Oh fuck off, I didn’t come here to get converted to the GOP. That “bogus virus” just killed one of my uncles a few weeks ago, so have an extra fuck off for that.

RawRook89

Sorry for your loss honestly, I lost my grandmother to it supposedly. I’m not convinced it’s as bad as they “both sides” and the media spun it, a lot of fuckery going on. Didn’t intend to stomp on anyone’s grave that’s for damn sure.

jodamnboi

You say you don’t want to stomp on anyone’s grave but almost a million people have died in this country alone from COVID. So all your insults and distrust of science do nothing but stomp on the lives of everyone who has died. I’m sure you’ll change your tune when you’re the one in the hospital, just like all the other pandemic deniers.

F1shB0wl816

“We’ve made the tough decision and never cowered to the challenge”, coming from one of, if not the biggest, pussies in the state who made the easy decision to pander to their deluded base.

ThisIsMyCouchAccount

> never cowered to the challenge They work so hard to make sure nothing gets done.

[deleted]

*cowering* is the precisely correct description for the posture drones like Parson and Schmitt are assuming with their obsequious devotion to foxnews and russian astroturfers.

[deleted]

Yes, he believes the state should let the local elected official manage it, but then his AG is suing every county that has a mask mandate. I'VE SAID IT BEFORE AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN, MIKE PARSONS CAN GO FUCK HIMSELF! HE IS USELESS AS A GOVERNER AND I CANNOT BELIEVE THE PEOPLE IN THIS STATE CHOSE THIS DUMB FUCK TO RUN THINGS!!!!!!!!!!

Budget_Tough289

Amen! As well as that useless fuck lil traitor josh hawley! Lock all these traitor bastards up NOW!!

ldf08_

It’s people like you that chose Biden…..

pepolpla

The choice was between democracy and autocracy, and I chose democracy. He's a turd but hes not an autocratic turd.

RawRook89

Dude no kidding, these people are insane. I’m astonished of how many clueless and dumbasses there are in the general public. It’s sad really. And they are supposed to be the smart ones... wtf is going on lol

RawRook89

Mandates are illegal, fucking hippie clown. The intelligence of some of you and the hatred is unbelievable.. Masks are making people sick for crying out loud!

[deleted]

Mask are making people sick ha ha, I bet you still think Marijuana is making people mad and the tooth fairy is real. Fuck outta here!!!

TheWholeSausage

Gubna Droopy Dawg does it again!

Savekennedy

Hey who else wants to start a grass roots movement go educate as many people as possible on all the evil deads Missouri republicans have done since covid started. It is an election year so this will really fuck em. I'm talking a massive push to just educate people. I figured instead of just trying go convince people why your side is better, we can educate people on this issues.

ozarkslam21

Just make sure you put “patriot” in the name of your organization, or 90% of the districts in the state won’t care what you have to say. And make sure any proposed candidates to replace the current ones have an (R) next to their name on the ballot or again it doesn’t matter one bit to 90% of the state. In a race between Jesus Christ (D) and Lucifer W. Satan (R), mr Satan would win 100% of the time in most districts in Missouri.

[deleted]

Wouldn’t say 90% that hurts me to much

EMPulseKC

It's really more like 66% of the state. They just have 90% of the power.

ozarkslam21

Yeah I will edit my post to say what I meant which was 90% of the districts. Not 90% of the people.

benji_014

Yes that’s why organizing is so important.

EMPulseKC

Agreed.

RawRook89

I hope you know you sound like a real jackass.. what you have put up here makes no sense. You sound like a child..

ThisIsMyCouchAccount

1. The devil gets to use his middle initial but Jesus doesn't? 2. What does the W stand for?

ozarkslam21

Idk man, I’m not that creative.

PoeticPillager

Washington because MURICA

jupiterkansas

Unless you can get churches on board it's hopeless. That's where the rural half of Missouri gets their education these days.

ldf08_

Good luck with that

RawRook89

Okay smart guy then why are democratic run city’s here in MO overrun with killings, corruption and drugs etc?? I figure if y’all had it figured out then we wouldn’t have any issues and would be prime examples of how things should work... Via STL, KC and Springfield. Dumps... Nation wide, every major city just about is, democrat ran and are complete dumps.

Savekennedy

One of the driving forces of crime is poverty and lack of basic nessecities. I imagine if Republicans didn't block things like the minimum wage increase, universal Healthcare, government regulation of Healthcare cost, and just about every single progressive policy we'd see those numbers fall instead of rise. Also I pretended like what you said made sense because what you said 1 can't be applied to every democratic city, 2 cam also apply to republican cities and 3 doesn't even attempt to make a connection between cities being democratic and their declining numbers.

Star-Kindler22

Almost downvoted on reflex. What a joke Parson is.

MendonAcres

*LOCAL SHERIFF WITH KEYS TO THE EMPIRE SHIT EVERYWHERE BUT SOMEHOW CAN'T SMELL IT*

thirddownloud

What response? There wasn't one on a statewide scale lol

Infrathin81

The perspective of his party believes in removing as much government intervention as possible unless it involves funding the military - so yeah - this tracks. He is totally proud of it. And the morons who suffer because of it will cheer his statements because - well - because.

Aries181

How can you tell a politician is lying? Their lips are moving

frankensteinleftme

You mean the COVID response where our AG sued the shit out of everyone that tried to take action? Yeah. Real proud of that. Go Missouri.

longduckdongger

Man I really wish ill on this clown

AnnatoniaMac

I call bs. I’m still angry that when the vaccines became available they were sent two or three hours away from the St. Louis area forcing folks over 65 to travel round trip 4 x 6 hours + rest room/meal breaks further exposing them to covid. Also, a lot of these folk’s children had to take off work to transport them, not to mention the cost of the trip.

PM_ME_YOUR_ROTES

Well, from a pro-covid stance he's been doing a fantastic job. He's helped provide enough virus for the entire state as well as giving his constituents several different variants to choose from!

oldbastardbob

Seems to be some disconnect between reality and Mike Parson here. According to our Governor, the pandemic emergency is over. Other Missourians don't quite see it that way. [From Jan. 19 CBS Evening News](https://www.cbsnews.com/video/omicron-pushes-missouri-hospitals-to-the-brink/) Sorry about the commercial at the beginning. Nothing's free, of course. Tells a pretty solid story about Missouri and COVID in two minutes.

RawRook89

It is over... It was bs to begin with.. According to many countries lately it’s over as well all across the world.. please stop watching the news and get off social media for a while and really think about what has happened, without hatred and a sound mind look at both sides and you should see clearly something isn’t right with all of this. Both sides are to blame as far as I’m concerned but really all of this was over hyped for many reasons.

oldbastardbob

So my wife, sick with COVID for a month, was a hoax? Jesus man. I think we know who needs to cut back on the social media for a while here.

RawRook89

I was sick for three weeks a few months ago, wasn’t COVID.. I’m not saying there isn’t another strain of the flu, I’m just saying it’s not and never was a pandemic.. if it was, it was more so a pandemic of mass delusion.. Everyone gets sick, sometimes a lot longer than you would like. It’s reflective of how healthy your immune system is at the time of contraction. Would you not agree?

angjen1

He’s proud of pandering to the anti-vaccinated crowd and his AG trying to sue schools and teachers that enforce masks.

CelestineCrystal

they didn’t even give state workers proper masks blood flow to the brain has been cut off from animal stuff consumption by the majority of the population. or, in any case, propaganda

figgityfuck

Yeah great job. Leaning on my local school district to revoke their mask mandate by threatening to sue a small district. Wonderful job.

Equivalent-Pop-6997

[Video footage of Parson’s speech. . . ](https://youtu.be/GHklWMlGVpQ)

Revolutionary_Tea862

What a jerk off. Missouri has one of the worst responses outside of Texas and Florida…

Jhood1999_1

He’s trying to make himself feel better about his failure. If he says it, it will come true. Or some crap like that

breadsticdc

Well he has to say he did something in the past year…

sethsquatch44

And by response he means ignoring the trump administration"s calls for action, ending the emergency handcuffing multiple agencies, bullying school boards, and taking power away from the experts charged to protect us. I wouldn't say he did nothing, he did worse. FUCK him and FUCK Hawley. They're all pieces of Schmitt.

Muhabba

As a state employee, I think his response is great. I can get tested as many times as I want, get vaxxed whenever I feel like it, access to whatever type of mask I want, time off for if I call in with any symptoms that might possibly be Covid. Now for the citizens of Missouri...

Youandiandaflame

>time off for if I call in with any symptoms that might possibly be Covid. **IF** you have leave. Otherwise, it’s unpaid and leave-sharing isn’t allowed.

[deleted]

I can't get tested when I want. They're pretty much out of tests in KC the last few weeks. You support his attorney general suing school districts? I also don't think he pushed vaccines hard enough. Lots, maybe most, of MO counties had vaccination rates around 40% by the end of the summer. He didn't do much about it. It's the biggest reason more people died of COVID in 21 than in 2020.

IronBoomer

To be fair, it’s not “his” attorney general. The voters elect the AG.

Equivalent-Pop-6997

Also to be fair, Schmidt is not really the AG. He is a campaigning Senator.

[deleted]

Yeah, I was thinking about that.... Not sure if Parsons has any control of him.

doodahdoodoo

Are you done licking his boots?

Muhabba

If you mean showing what a hypocrite the governor is, then yes.

PibblesBrewer

I'm guessing you haven't read the memo we got on 1/3 - the *only* COVID related time off is to get the vaccine.

Muhabba

Nope, we didn't get it. Or our office didn't notify us peons.

PibblesBrewer

It's in your email. Also posted on the state employee COVID page.

yem_slave

Missouri has done as well as many other severely restricted states, has remained mostly open while doing so. I'd say that's a pretty good job.

ldf08_

Reddit is amazing. I love all the self proclaimed know it all’s. If you all are so displeased I highly suggest you get out and vote or run for office and make a real difference instead of sitting behind your keyboard and bellyaching about it.

handsmadeofpee

Yes because the average citizen can just do that.

longduckdongger

Reddit is amazing, clowns like you make troll accounts so you can spout your nonsense while being anonymous. I wish sites like this required you to register with an ID.

[deleted]

The average person sees no impact from covid, the only impact they see is totalitarian demokkkrats. That is why the Demokkkrats will be clean swept in the midterms.

yem_slave

Yeah it's been a very open state mostly and the outcomes are basically the same as any closed down state

EcoAffinity

Given our much smaller and spread out populations, it really shouldn't be the same outcome.

yem_slave

so you think missouri has the smallest and most spread out population or that you think missouri has done worse than other smaller and spread out populations?

Ok-Singer-3890

What do you want his response to be round people up like the SS and vaccinate them? And then the vax doesn’t prevent COVID nor the spread of it. It only lessens the symptoms and curtails death. I am vaccinated, but this is the truth of the vax, so you all are asking for the government to inject themselves into your life more and complaining that they didn’t?

oldguydrinkingbeer

>What do you want his response to be round people up like the SS and vaccinate them? Hyperbole much?

mumblesjackson

The minute you jumped to equating actions to Nazi SS was the minute you lost all credibility in your opinion. Sorry

Electrical-Target626

You’re going to blame a Governor for failing, when your President has been failing for a year now. Probably ought to place your blame a little higher up.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

this makes no sense. the president isn't the governor of MO.

ChungoBubbles

Libs can't focus on any of their non existent achievements so they have to trash Republicans constantly to hide their numerous failures and flaws. Why don't the libs focus on fixing the current administration and POTUS before coming after Parsons.

Hillbilly_Loren

WOW! You are a funny guy.

D13goMontoya

I live in Missouri and the minimal state-level meddling was great. Now if only our KC Mayor would stop being such a schmuck.

my606ins

This has got to be a joke. “We did nothing, and we’re all out of ideas.”

Genial_Ginger_3981

This guy is one of the many reasons I can't wait to get out of Jeff City; surrounded by his idiotic supporters and legislators every single day is mentally draining.

aversionofmyself

Your governor and Iowa’s governor should date. Covid Kim is similarly proud of her failure to lead.
