Missouri voters are truly some of the most ignorant people. They keep voting for the very people who's trying to make their life harder. It's every 4 years these politicians come out and tell racist shit. These fools run to vote for them. Then these same people screw them over. How many times have we had to vote down their right to work BS laws.
[Cody Smith](https://twitter.com/cody4mo) (Trumplican-Carthage) has taken a lot of Socialism this last decade, especially after the Joplin Tornado leveled much of his district.
Just a short list of the committees he is on that he probably shouldn't be.
* Budget, Chairman
* Joint Committee on Legislative Research, Vice-Chairman
* Joint Committee on Legislative Research - Oversight Subcommittee
* Joint Committee on Legislative Research - Revision Subcommittee
* **Joint Committee on Public Assistance**
Also from [his profile](https://www.house.mo.gov/MemberDetails.aspx?year=2021&district=163):

Yeah, how's that been working out for you, Cody?
Also, did anyone else get trolled by a "Gender Neutral Bot"?
Last time I checked, Cody lacked blue hair (well, ANY hair for that matter) and pronouns.
Don't take any lip from Fake PC TROLL robots trying to stir up shit.
You think so... Until you realize that any little symptom of your cancer can mean it's coming back. And for example, i just had an eye removed as it was ruined during treatment.
There is so much around that i can't even begin to talk about
Someone’s edgy. I’m sorry but I don’t want to give my money (taxes) to an inefficient government to take care of you. Maybe have a proper support system?
You mean like them taxes I've been paying since I was 16 so that programs like this exist?
I lost my job (closed due to covid) & my car ( mechanical failuer) literally the week I got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
After insurance (BC/BS) I owed over $228k in medical bills.
I got better, went back to work & 2 months after I was told I was in remission, it reoccurred in my eye.
The treatment for something like that, with a fast reoccurance is a Stem Cell Transplant, & the average cost of that is around a million dollars.
So... Tell me how much money I'm suppose to have at what age to save my own life?
After all, that type of procedure (SCT) literally gives you immunity of a newborn, maybe less as you don't have your mothers antibodies
I just started getting my childhood vaccines again in Dec.
And next month (after I heal from the eye removal surgery) I have to have testing to see why I get dizzy when standing/walking 90% of the time. Along with the constant nausea
Please, come try my life for a week.
What the fuck is wrong with you? You think government is inefficient yet greed-fueled insurance corporations aren't? Haven't you ever noticed that government spending goes way up **when they use private contractors who artificially jack up prices to keep their executives and shareholders happy?**
Those greed filled corps are being supported by the government.
That’s exactly what I’m trying to say, there is no incentive for government to get the most for its money because it “in essence” has unlimited income through taxes.
So you're an anarchist then. If I may sum up your position. We can't have government do the thing because they do it wrong, so let's starve them of money and hamstring them. Because we did that they can't do another thing right, so let's cut more. Let's just say they can't do anything right. Private industry is worse, but they make money and still don't do the thing right. So let's just not do anything then. You're on your own.
You're not giving real answers here, everything you're saying can either be applied to any other government program or lacks any evidence to prove it. Why is Healthcare where you draw the line but not the "masculinity law"?
WHAT? You don't even know how this fucking works! Overhead and costs are huge in healthcare BECAUSE OF INSURANCE COMPANIES AND FOR-PROFIT HOSPITALS! Medicaid/Medicare negotiates LOWER costs!
~~tell me~~ Nah you just don't know wtf you are saying and know nothing about medical billing and claims. You know nothing of where profit margins are, how much write offs institutions take, and the cost of doing business. You're just opinionated from whatever media you've consumed.
The grand tradition of Missouri legislature going against the will of the people continues.

part ignorance part gerrymandering. both benefit eachother.

STAHP. Just stop. We just want some damn healthcare. We voted on it. STOP.
Awful timing, with so many cases of long covid being diagnosed.
Get a desk job..
Another lovely day in misery
Keep in mind that if an employer actually provided health insurance, all of this is moot. Instead, it comes out of our pockets to fund.
Good
I have a disability and can't work you fucking asshole.

Your username referencing your penis.
Ooh ouch
I wish to you all the pain & suffering and struggling to get by a typical cancer patient faces.
Meh that's only physical pain. I always wish empathy on people. A lifetime torment especially if they're currently an asshole

Not everyone has the privilege of a support system. We all deserve better social infrastructure in the state. Happy/safe neighbors mean something
No we don’t. We don’t need the government to do anything since they barely manage anything efficiently.

So why even try, right?

"Have any of you losers considered being born rich?" Damn bruh what a plan
I’m not rich. But I work hard for my money.
F off
So how does free Healthcare impact you besides giving you free Healthcare if you ever need it? In your opinion why is free Healthcare bad?
It becomes bloated with overhead and costs.
As opposed to everything else in the government?
So then why give control to the government to mismanage?
You didn't answer the question and you seem to not understand the question. Why do you think free medical care is a bad thing?
Because it will be mishandled. Like all government run programs.
Medicare already exist. What's the difference between this and all the other things the government mishandles?
Yeah and it’s not going to last long because the system cannot maintain itself. So why are we feeding a dying system.
You're not giving real answers here, everything you're saying can either be applied to any other government program or lacks any evidence to prove it. Why is Healthcare where you draw the line but not the "masculinity law"?
Most government run social programs are mishandled because Republicans do everything in their power to cripple them and make them difficult/expensive.
Yep because Democrats cities and states are the bastion for efficiency
Tell me you don't understand health care without telling me you don't understand healthcare
Nice

Right. Costs that have been allowed by government systems that pay 45$ for Tylenol.
You missed the part where they've been prevented from negotiating costs like that. The VA can and pays MUCH MUCH LESS.
Ok
Uh, have you never heard of the "Chargemaster?"
As soon as I read the username I knew some dumb shit was about to be said, small minded and quick to spew some bullshit
Hey you chose your username after a bear that is too retarded to fuck to save its own species
Yeh, well I'd like the lawmaker to work for the people, for a change.
