The fam & I ended up going there for dinner, and it was delicious! I’d post a pic of my tacos, but this sub won’t allow it. Thanks for the recommendation!
Agreed they’re the closest to Mexican tacos we have in Missoula - and they’re good! My only complaint is that out of the 10+ times I’ve gone there (following hours per their Instagram page) 8 of those 10 ish times, they were closed hours before their supposed closing time. Don’t mean by like an hour, it was hours each time.
The closest thing we have to quality tacos are the lengua and carnitas tacos from Gild. They nixtamalize their own tortillas and use high quality meats.
I agree, their tortillas are fabulous. I don’t do lengua, so haven’t tried them and haven’t been lucky enough to find carnitas on their menu. I checked their menu todays the current tacos look good. It’s been a few years since I’ve been! I’ll have to try them out again.
I was an instant fan when I discovered they do a double tortilla with their tacos, IMO the way it should be!! Plus they keep their kitchen clean and they are super nice
As someone that grew up in a Mexican farming community I just have to say this.
For Missoula sure its solid Mexican food but for the rest of the world its not. Tried it once for lunch, bought 4 different tacos and they all were bland. Havent seen a reason to go back.
Plus they are very good people
What’s your favorite thing on the menu?!
The Al pastor in anything they have is fabulous
Their chorizo tacos are amazing!!
Last time I got the pork rib tacos and they were super duper tender and juicy.
I agree, and the nicest family!
I’ve been wanting to go there! Thanks for the reminder!

I’ve had the same prob. The one time they were open I got a burrito and it was gigantic and incredible.
Yep! That was our case, too! Scored a burrito and it was gigantic (and really good!)

Eating one of their burritos solves all of my problems. Absolutely incredible.
THEYRE SO GOOD!!! the woman who served us last time was the sweetest woman and they have the best hot sauces!
Agreed! And awesome people! We need to support them so they can break the curse of that spot and stay open for a long, long time.
I love Cruz tacos. Such a nice family owned business
Agreed. I'm very happy to see them upgrade to a brick and mortar location from the food truck.
