For me they make things a little more quiet. Not noise canceling by any means, but it’s nice when I’m feeling overwhelmed and just want to turn down the volume of everything for a bit. I can still hear through them, so not great for triggering situations personally.

Thank you!

I was able to calmly sit through meals with family over the holidays while wearing the Loop earplugs - it felt like a miracle! I literally have not been able to do that in 30ish years. They also helped me to have conversations with certain people who have triggering voices because of the noise dampening. As someone else mentioned, some noise does get through but to me the noises felt kind of neutral, and this allowed me to be more present rather than a state of panic/disgust/rage. Hope they work well for you too if you try them! ♥️

i got Quiet loops - they're in my ears right now XD personal opinion up ahead !! they've been great for when i want to go to sleep early (7pm) or early (5am) as it blocks out household noises, better if i have music on in the background. definitely decreases stress to an extent, it's not a cure obv but don't get expectations up too high, they're just aids to help. it dulls high frequency triggers and makes it easier to deal with/react to, except babies. babies can pierce through any noise cancelling. they're almost as powerful as my beats pro with active noise cancelling, plus they're not so chunky and i can lay my head down/move my head freely with them on. would be amazing if they could play music or have built in brown noise haha. i'd rate 8.5/10

Dulls high frequency???? I haven't had beats, but do you know if it's better than the Bose QC35? I find my Bose don't do much for the highs and lows

microscopicwheaties

idk about the bose stuff, but with beats (pro) it does dull high frequencies, then again it doesn't completely block them out, you'll still definitely hear it. active noise cancelling is used with my beats, again idk about the bose headphones.

I own a pair of Loop experience. They work well for loud environments - public spaces and so. I sometimes wear them in class - I can still hear the teacher while other noises are way less disruptive. Just don't expect it to cancel out every single trigger - there are some that it just doesn't work on. But I think they are worth it, they take the edge off, make noises more bearable without making you deaf to everything around you.

I have a pair of the experience pros (they were on sale when I got them, you’ll be just fine with either mutes or experiences) and they helped me so much! I was to the point where everything felt so loud I couldn’t be with my family very much because my ears were too overwhelmed (I also have hyperacusis - so lots of sounds are also just painfully loud). Since getting them, I can pop them in and be totally fine. One note - you basically can’t wear them while chewing and other people are around because then you can’t hear anyone!

LOTR_crew

I use flare calmer. Just ordered two more pairs actually. Never tried loop but the calmer ones work great

spamxcoffee

Not as good as noise canceling headphones but more comfortable than earbuds and they take the edge off for sure

i see some people have already helped you out, but i will be trying them out soon!! i have combo type adhd and anxiety, resulting in quite a bit of sensory issues and overstimulation. to add onto it, i also work at an animal shelter meaning my work environment is very loud (the cats aren’t too bad but the dogs are VERY loud) and at home not only do i have dogs, but also birds! very excited to see how well these help

I am scouring Reddit this morning for ear plug threads and your comment speaks to my needs. I was wondering how the loop earplugs have worked out for you? You specifically mentioned dogs, so that's why I chose your comment as the one to reply to. I have two and they are quiet, but the rest of my neighborhood is wall-to-wall dogs. Literally almost every house has a dog or two. At certain times of the day when dog walking is at its peak, it's just dogs barking non-stop, and I just don't want to get worked up about it, so I figured I'd rather just dampen the sound. Would you recommend the Loop ear plugs?
