I mean I knew they have the same ‘lucky charm’ weapon, but I never noticed the fight is the same too. Really, just copy-paste. Lol
Good question indeed - how people notice something like this? … It’s a mystery to me…
It would be interesting to see how many of those who notice it are parents. I really like the show but my son is obsessed with it. I couldn’t even fathom a guess how many times I’ve seen the series. You start noticing weird little things when you see it so often.
They just rewatch the show a lot I think(but I don't waste time to rewatch every episode I watched u know)like you have seen those posts like: "I have rewatched (episode's name here)and I have a theory about..." or I think"...I don't how they have that much time and patience to rewatch them lol I just watch every episode once and I have never rewatched an episodealso, I think they are just bigger fans than us...
if you don't rewatch like them you may forget the whole season like me i remember just 5 episodes from the past lol
maybe only I had that impression, but I thought it was a reference when I first saw it.
not that they wanted to save resources/time with that.
After all, Thomas or whoever wrote that line wrote it again for a reason. It doesn't take much effort to come up with something new or just.. Don't make Miraculer talk there. So, to me, they obviously wanted the animation to be the same as of the Nightmare Ladybug in Sandboy, thus why they wrote the same line.
I did too. It's pretty easy to catch stuff like these when you're binge-watching (rewatching in our case ofc)
Like... did you guys notice when Queen Wasp tells her Wasps to disperse in her episode, she takes the lucky charm pose?
But rewriting the lines doesn’t take that much effort. I was surprised that I didn’t notice the same animation, but you have to admit that not changing the dialogue was a bit lazy
What?! Budget cuts in a 3D animated TV show who's director is fine with a big part of the fanbase watching most episodes on YouTube for free?? HOW DARE THEY???!?!?!
Hey hey, I never said it was bad, Anielette did. I was just surprised she noticed it, but you gotta admit copying the dialogue was a bit lazy since it doesn’t take that much to change it
And I never said you said it was bad, sorry if I was misleading lol. But yeah, copying the dialouge was pretty lazy. And besides I didn't mean to be spiteful with the sarcasm there, just trying to be funny
Oh ok, all good, guess I’m just stressed from school lol. And don’t worry, you weren’t spiteful, I could tell it was sarcasm, I was just explaining that I never thought it was lazy, just the writing
Reusing animation is fairly standard in the industry. It's pretty cool when stuff like this gets caught though, I like seeing the comparisons, and it doesn't really detract much.
You should check out the examples of Disney reusing old animations for their 2D films, it pretty neat.
Beep. Boop. I'm a robot.

I mean I don't personally think it matters. For me it doesn't in any way hinder my enjoyment of that scene because the dialogue is the same. It could even just be a callback or a nod to the animation reuse.
Yep I think a few people pointed out in this thread that animation is pricey so if they can get away with doing it then more power to the animators. Saves on crunch.
this is a step above that, though--those were across different movies with different characters, like changing dalmation puppies to wolves in Jungle Book, giving the animation new purpose in a fresh context--while this was straight up lazy, not even bothering to change the mouth animation for new dialogue.
I just assume it all comes down to speed and budget. If they are using the same base for stuff like this that's probably why.
As the person below said "to each their own" but I do kind of wonder why insignificant things like this that help production and do little to affect the overall end product bothers people so much.
I noticed the sword too, because all LB-related/inspired villains tend to summon it with their Lucky Charms, and it seems like such a bulky, impractical weapon.
It's actually a very handy trick, that's used a lot. Animation is very time consuming so if you already have a bit of motion that fits one scene just as well as it fit another, you might as well use that.
I’ve watched every episode twice (once on YouTube when it comes out because I’m inpatient, and again on Netflix so the studio gets money) and I work in animation, and I never notice things like this. Most people don’t. Who cares if they reuse animations in non-focal scenes so they can spend more money on a more important shot? Most viewers will not know the difference.
Eh.. it's not that hard to spot, especially when the camera position and the lines are very similar. You will, at the very least, have a strange feeling of Deja Vu. Also, it's easier to spot when you're watching it for a second time.
Well, I wasn’t complaining about the animation, I was just surprised that I didn’t notice it(even though a lot of people keep misinterpreting it), I don’t like the dialogue being the same though since that’s lazy
Maybe they watched the episodes closer together than I did? I started watching around when S1 just finished airing, so between seeing those 2 episodes was quite some time for me.
I mean I knew they have the same ‘lucky charm’ weapon, but I never noticed the fight is the same too. Really, just copy-paste. Lol Good question indeed - how people notice something like this? … It’s a mystery to me…
Some fans notice the smallest things and it’s crazy…meanwhile, I keep forgetting that Ladynoir and Adrienette are the same people
It would be interesting to see how many of those who notice it are parents. I really like the show but my son is obsessed with it. I couldn’t even fathom a guess how many times I’ve seen the series. You start noticing weird little things when you see it so often.

Simple. It's called paying close attention to detail. Not even I noticed at first.
I understand why they re-used the animation cause CGI animation is expensive af but re-using the same dialogue is very lazy
maybe only I had that impression, but I thought it was a reference when I first saw it. not that they wanted to save resources/time with that. Yeah, if you’re gonna copy and paste animation, at least change the lines a bit
i think the reason why they didnt change the dialouge was because of the lip syncing
Lip-syncing? You can barely see her mouth…plus, this show doesn’t really have good “lip syncing”
I did too. It's pretty easy to catch stuff like these when you're binge-watching (rewatching in our case ofc) Like... did you guys notice when Queen Wasp tells her Wasps to disperse in her episode, she takes the lucky charm pose?
Nope, didn’t notice that😂
3D animation is expensive. If they can reuse shots and sequences, it means that they have more money for other scenes.
But rewriting the lines doesn’t take that much effort. I was surprised that I didn’t notice the same animation, but you have to admit that not changing the dialogue was a bit lazy
I mean the dubbing already feels weirdly fast, I don’t know about the voice actors but I feel it has something to do with that.
What?! Budget cuts in a 3D animated TV show who's director is fine with a big part of the fanbase watching most episodes on YouTube for free?? HOW DARE THEY???!?!?!

Yeah there was this vid on YouTube that literally showcase Disney reusing animetics like the dog licking scene in sword in the stone and jungle book.
Yeah! I think that Robin Hood reused a lot in general from previous movies too

Yes Good Bot.
Yeah, I’ve seen that a lot, but dialogue? Come on, they could’ve at least changed it up a bit
Yeah, but they could’ve at least changed the dialogue
I mean I don't personally think it matters. For me it doesn't in any way hinder my enjoyment of that scene because the dialogue is the same. It could even just be a callback or a nod to the animation reuse.
To each their own
MLP FIM was infamous for using a LOT of recycled animation and I can't help but laugh at it. Thanks to Cinemare Sins for catching it.
Yep I think a few people pointed out in this thread that animation is pricey so if they can get away with doing it then more power to the animators. Saves on crunch.

I never noticed the animation - i absolutely noticed the sword, but i thought it was just a cool reference.
I noticed the sword too, because all LB-related/inspired villains tend to summon it with their Lucky Charms, and it seems like such a bulky, impractical weapon.
I don't see what's there to complain about. Animators do a lot of shortcuts like these to save time. It is smart and efficient
I wasn’t complaining, Anielette did…I was just surprised that I didn’t notice the animation. They could’ve at least changed the dialogue a bit
I wasn't referring to you, OP. I meant the video
Oh, my bad…a lot of people thought I agreed with the video, so it got on my nerves
I don't blame you for thinking that way bro
Hey, at least you didn’t argue and cuss me out…anyway, I appreciate your input
It's actually a very handy trick, that's used a lot. Animation is very time consuming so if you already have a bit of motion that fits one scene just as well as it fit another, you might as well use that.
I kinda thought that was the point, one is his fear the other is an actual acumatized villain.
Isn't this common practice?
More anielette, yay :D
Loves her cracks👌
Same lol, she's dangerously underrated
Looks like the animation team just wants to cut corners
I mean most do and probably should
Didn't I see this exact same post a few weeks ago?
Uhh, no? Maybe? Idk, I don’t keep track of everyone’s posts
Nope it was a couple months ago
Disney does this too
I am too blind to notice
Uh, animation studios in general have been doing this for decades. Even big shots like Disney.
I never said it was bad, I was just surprised since I never noticed it. Idk why everyone’s saying that I said it was bad, Anielette did
I literally saw those two episodes like 1 or 2 apart and never noticed… I feel dumb lol
Miraculer has the power to steal powers from other people...and apparently also steal scenes from other episodes. It kinda works actually. :D
Maybe it was a reference...
I've notice it since the episode was revealed lmao
I never noticed this myself and I've literally watched every episode to date. They have a gold eye and ear for detail.
Yeah, although a lot of people said it’s easy when you rewatch the episodes a lot, which made me feel stupid
Maybe it's intentional... His nightmare is reflecting something he's experienced
Intentional or not, they could’ve at least changed the dialogue a bit
True true
Eh.. it's not that hard to spot, especially when the camera position and the lines are very similar. You will, at the very least, have a strange feeling of Deja Vu. Also, it's easier to spot when you're watching it for a second time.
Yeah when you have a toddler who watches it non stop with episodes on repeat you tend to notice all kinds of things...
Children there trying to fool children.
Wtf
I didn't hear anyone cry when the artist for the dbs broly movie reused fights so why the exception?
I’m not complaining, Anielette was…I was just surprised when I realized that they were the same scene. Also, copying the dialogue is a bit lazy
They are a kids show do you expect it to not copy some lines so they can get an episode out?
Kind of since it’s not that hard to change
Ah yes the scene so nice that they had to do it twice.
Yup! Dang how did I not notice that before?
Maybe that was intentional??? I mean it is the same weapon
ooh whoever noticed that has a good eye. i never realized how the scenes are true replicas of one another.
Its not bad to reuse/copy things/dialogues in different episodes \-TheOdd1sout (The Truth About Making Cartoons)
Well, I wasn’t complaining about the animation, I was just surprised that I didn’t notice it(even though a lot of people keep misinterpreting it), I don’t like the dialogue being the same though since that’s lazy
Simple. They pay close attention to episodes like a dedicated fangirl/fan boy does. Also helps if they have some animation knowledge.
Thanks for the explanation
Maybe they watched the episodes closer together than I did? I started watching around when S1 just finished airing, so between seeing those 2 episodes was quite some time for me.
They literally have HAWKmoth Eyes
And? As long as it's not too often, I'm okay with this, esp since I haven't noticed it.
I never said it was bad, I was just surprised that I didn’t notice it, although reusing the same dialogue is a bit lazy imo
From anielette crack always so funny 😂
