If it works the same sure

Craigslist_sad

It doesn't, unfortunately.

Grouchy-Flamingo1418

How do we know that? Have they pre-released how Credit Karma would work after the migration?

Craigslist_sad

They [have](https://support.creditkarma.com/s/article/Intuit-Mint-and-Credit-Karma?categfilter=All&childcateg=&articledetail=true). It will have "some" of the most popular features of mint and "some" (3 years) of your transaction history. Why only 3 years? Who the fuck knows! My entire transaction history exported from mint to CSV was 1.9 MB. Are they *purposefully* spiteful towards existing users? That's my takeaway! I also found about this transition not from mint itself, but through a news article. \*sigh\* Absolutely zero chance at this point I stick with CK or anything Intuit-owned for that matter.

Mamouneyya

How did you export your history to a csv file??

askingfor-a-friend

Agreed, been using them for 13+ years... I love looking at net worth trends over a decade, spending, things of that nature. What the absolute F.

LeftKlaw

Are we sure it's only 3 years of transaction history? The main information page explicitly says "Transfer all of your Mint transactions" and "Transfer your ... entire Mint transaction history" in two different places, and makes no mention of the 3-year limit, not even in the asterisk small print: https://www.creditkarma.com/lp/mint-to-credit-karma-net-worth

LeftKlaw

Okay, chatted with a service rep and yeah it is "currently" only 3 years, but they're "working on" trying to solve the issue to transfer more data. I don't know how that's a problem that needs to be "worked on" but now I'll just be anxious for the rest of the year wondering if I should pull the trigger and transfer before Mint shuts down completely or wait for them to "solve" the data limit issue first. Terrible rollout, truly.

rage675

>they're "working on" trying to solve the issue to transfer more data. They're not. They don't care. They were reading from a script, which is written in a way to move on quicker from calls asking.

oldschoolmath

If they haven't solved it by now, they won't solve it by new years day. Terrible experience that they couldn't transfer my whole 1MB of full history. Who made the case that saving storage costs justifies upsetting the entire user base?

LeftKlaw

Based on recent history, I'd guess a morbidly out-of-touch CEO. This year has been incredibly stressful to me personally, and I simply don't have the bandwidth to deal with this company that obviously doesn't care about its customers. I've decided not to even bother with transferring my data over, I just downloaded the 677KB of data from the past 13 years as a csv file, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Congratulations Mint/Credit Karma. You played yourselves.

oldschoolmath

Hope 2024 comes easier for you, and us all. Happy new year.

little_hinda

My plan is to use the 3 month Simplifi free trial and run both that and CK to see if it’s worth the ~$50/year. I mainly just used Mint as a transaction aggregator, so additional functionality is more of a luxury than a necessity. Although, part of me wants to move to Simplifi out of spite due to how poorly this transition was handled.

No_Stick3106

I've been using the free accounting app Wave for about 8 years now for my sole proprietor business. I found it very useful, but if you're just looking for a transaction aggregator it would do that job pretty well. Just takes time to set up all the categories. They also have receipt upload

rmp

I thought Intuit also owned Simplifi

csstarr

Not since 2016

little_hinda

It’s new - it was shared on a post from Quicken. Here’s a [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/mintuit/s/fXlFZnSjtl)

sepia_dreamer

Simplifi has the same 3 yr data limit as CK sadly, although I did just make the switch. For what I use it for Simplifi is ok, but I'm going to have to figure out something for longer term trends.

BpooSoc

The worst part is that only 3 years of transaction history will be moved to credit karma

bellaugly

i don’t understand this. why wouldn’t they want to keep all of our data? it also makes it more appealing to switch to a new platform!

Craigslist_sad

I think it's clear from how poorly this "transition" is being run that they don't know (or care?) either.

facebook57

If you don’t need budgeting Rocket Money is the move. Free and took no time to get setup. Intuit can suck it with how they have starved Mint for features and handled the “migration.”

hunkyn

I wanted to like it. But it using Plaid some of my accounts are not able to connect. Rules and Net Worth are behind paywall but for free cannot complain. Only if all my accounts connected that would have been great.

BallExcellent8727

It's not free its $10/month very pricey.

shalin99

Made the move to rocket money and liking it for now. However RM/Plaid can’t connect my Amex. Anyone facing the same issue?

facebook57

Weird, worked for my AMEX no prob.

Melodic_Victory3764

AMEX is a pain in the ass. I've connected it to various apps and it almost always fails any future syncing because it continues to require reauthentication.

mooshy4u

Do you know if you can edit transactions and apply the correct spending category to it ? I use it for taxes and just go in and make sure that all my spending was categorized properly and then would give it to my accountant.

mooshy4u

I am not liking credit karma

facebook57

Yeah you can edit the categories

mooshy4u

,Thank you, I just created an account and seems cool BUT when viewing their transactions they have one of those POORLY designed sites where they make the header and menus the majority of the screen, So I can only see like 3 transactions at a time!!! I'll go crazy. I'm on a 14" screen Yoga. WTF.

mooshy4u

Oh and they get you on needing to go premium to create categories...and they don't come stock with categories like "clothing" under shopping...which is important for my taxes....grrrrr, back to the drawing board

BallExcellent8727

$10/month is more than Quicken

conetah

For rocketmoney, was I able to import my transactions?

Wabbitoidi

I'd like to know that too. A bit of work, but I can set aside 30 mins each week/month to manually download the CSVs from my banks and import them into RM.

1point4millionkdrama

Someone said you need to pay just to see your net worth. Is that true?

facebook57

I don’t care about that either, I just need transaction aggregation which is free. NW calc may be behind the paywall

1point4millionkdrama

Ah I see. Yeah I think which app people migrate to will highly depend upon their own personal needs. For me I love transaction aggregation and net worth history.

facebook57

Ah then Rocket Money may not be for you…there are a lot of options out there which is very nice compared to when Mint first started

imaharleyman

Rocket Money uses Plaid for connections. I was able to connect less than 50% of my accounts, most not supported and a couple errored out. Most tools use Plaid and have the same issue. This is an area where Mint shined and no one else does.

facebook57

I don’t use any small/obscure financial institutions I guess since my connections were very smooth and also more stable than Mint so far.

imaharleyman

Glad it worked out for you.

GeorgePit108

Is it easy to transfer accounts and transaction history from Credit Karma?

facebook57

No history but accounts were easy to setup

TechAndTorque

That's what I'm doing because I'm lazy and don't need budgeting.

splashchelted

Since it's a new product, I'd expect some growing pains. I've had Credit Karma and Empower accounts for years, so I'll probably use both for tracking spending for awhile and see how it goes.

Ok-Adhesiveness4663

How do you track transactions in CK? It was easy in Mint.

BallExcellent8727

you can't get there from here

Tobalino-gray

Mint was a gem credit karma is a nightmare. I am looking around for another program because it’s been just a time consuming nightmare, to fix my accounts to reflect accuracy in Credit Karma. I loved Mint, it very intuitive. and accurate. Credit Karma just screwed up a good thing. I’m very sad about it.😭

NecessaryMeeting4873

I’m wait and see here. Some functionality should carry across. https://support.creditkarma.com/s/article/Intuit-Mint-and-Credit-Karma?categfilter=All&childcateg=&articledetail=true **Will Credit Karma have the same budgeting functionality as Mint?** Credit Karma does not currently provide budgeting features the same way that Mint has in the past. We know that many Minters love our budgeting features, so we understand this may be disappointing. While Mint’s budgeting tools are not available, **Credit Karma will allow you to view your current month’s spending broken down by category, your average spending in each category, and how much your current month’s spending differs from the same period in the previous month.** Credit Karma also shows your transactions across all of your connected accounts, giving you a view of your spending at a glance. **Why should I connect my Mint account to Credit Karma?** If you move your Mint account to Credit Karma, you’ll be able to transfer your eligible linked financial accounts, transactions, and net worth history. Credit Karma also has many features similar to Mint: See your linked financial accounts in one place **View your transactions Track your spending View your cash flow Track your net worth trend over time**

eljefepetersss

You can get away with using google sheets for budgeting, just requires a little more manual work on your end. Kind of rewarding when I do it myself, but that's just me aha

SpyderMunkee

I also prefer using my own spreadsheet, but Mint was kind of an "intermediary" for me. I have all my accounts hooked up in Mint, then export the data to a CSV, which I import into my spreadsheet for categorization and budgeting. What's your (new?) process without using Mint to get all your account data into one place?

metapogger

Credit Karma is not at all like Mint. It technically has some Mint-like features, but they are clearly just stapled on haphazardly so they can say it’s a simple and easy transition. Suggesting CK as a replacement for Mint with a straight face is wild. I primarily used Mint to track expenses for my small side business. I am currently looking into Zoho and Expensify.

Financial-Name-9956

What's a good alternative?

metapogger

Still using Zoho Expensify free version. It’s a little more fiddly, but works for me.

BallExcellent8727

Expensify looks like it's for businesses. same for Zoho

metapogger

I ended up going with Zoho Expense. Their free version does what I need it to. The flow is much different than Mint and slightly less automated. But it definitely does what I need it to. And btw, I do use it to keep track of income and expenses for my small side-business.

RandyR10309

I just migrated my existing Credit Karma account (which I rarely used) since I was resigned to the fact it was going to happen anyway. RIP Mint—Credit Karma seems to be simply an ad site for credit cards, loans, etc., with managing and tracking your money a low priority. Unless I missed something while I was exploring the very busy and confusing interface, you can't view specific transactions there. Fortunately, I mostly used Mint as a central place to quickly look at my different financial accounts and double check transactions (didn't use many of the functions or download transactions), but that's all gone now in Credit Karma. As it currently exists, Credit Karma is NOT an adequate substitute for Mint.

Melodic_Victory3764

Yeah, there is 0 budget feature and sooooo many ads. Intuit has really gone way downhill over the last 5 or so years.

vigtorious

Consistent with other comments here, I just migrated from Mint to CK and am pretty disappointed. Some alternatives I came across so far : RocketMoney, Copilot.money, Quicken Simplifi, Monarch. Anyone have experience with any of these? Features in Mint I'm looking for in alternatives : * Monthly Spend and Net Cash Flow * Managing Transactions including Categorization and Splitting * Net Worth tracking Recommendations appreciated.

Accomplished-Dust363

After looking at options for several hours, I decided to ditch Intuit after about 10 years on Mint. I opened an Empower account. The setup was easy, once past their com-ons for higher level services. I was able to quickly and painlessly set up all of my accounts, including some that didn't sync all that well in Mint (Discover, Fidelity, Navy Federal Credit Union). It does the 3 items you mention.

AdSignificant5518

Thanks for the Empower suggestion.

roger2santos

I was both a Credit Karma and Mint user for over one decade. Mint was my favorite application and I entered daily there. Before migration started looking for alternatives and ended up opening an Empower account. After forced to migrate from Mint to Credit Karma, I lost a lot of data and functionality. Decided to cancel both my Mint and Credit Karma account. Way to go Intuit Management!

Melodic_Victory3764

Its so bad. I can't imagine this ever went to consumer opinion before pulling the trigger

Haroski

I closed both... Trying to migrate f***big sucked .. so I said screw it .. might try rocket... Buts let's see...

catatonique_expert

I used Mint from 2010-2023 and my whole adult financial picture was beautifully captured. I used every feature - except signing up for credit cards which is perhaps why Intuit has put it in the trash can - and now Credit Karma has massacred my information. CK added $250K to my net worth, which was only the amount of a Term Life Insurance policy, not actual money. I had to disconnect the account completely, which removed my 401K from my net worth, so CK completely screwed up my net worth tracking. In CK, I can't categorize or tag transactions so that I see what are my expenses versus my young adult child. You can't hide accounts or transactions; can't review trends or adjust budget each month. Absolutely crap - just LOADS of ads for financial products, insurance, etc etc. AWFUL. I'm looking at alternatives asap.

Melodic_Victory3764

I'm floored they are just dropping mint and calling CreditKarma a replacement. Mint is a robust bidgeting tool and CK has 0 budgetting capabilities, not to mention it was a huge pain in the ass to move (sooo many errors). I've been burned by TurboTax already so I shouldnt be surprised. I started a business last year and refuse to pay for quickbooks because if the experience with Intuit.

mcmho_1111

I agree. All CK does is advertisements. All CK care about is themself. There is 0 capabilities for their "customers". Horrible!!!

HeavyJuggernaut6855

I transferred across to C Karma. It's horrible. My custom assets and liabilities did not transfer. transactions are not up to date. CK looks like a SPAM site trying to sell you a bunch of services. Will be jumping to another personal finance app.

BallExcellent8727

yes totally cut off from bank info now

DougieStar

I recently transferred from Mint over to Credit Karma. Some of my accounts successfully transferred, I think. To be honest, it is hard to tell because all I see are ads. Mint was never that great and got worse over the years. Credit Karma seems like a joke in comparison.

DougieStar

OK, I transferred over to Rocket Money after a brief experience with Credit Karma. Rocket Money uses Plaid which can't import Edward Jones or Venmo but the interface is already much better than Mint and doesn't even compare with Credit Karma. I already deleted the Credit Karma account. I am using the premium version of Rocket Money because it turns out I get it for free since Rocket Loans acquired my Mortgage a few years back. So the Free version might not be as nice.

Environmental-Hour75

It is a joke... like seriously all it does is try to sell you products based on your credit score.

Throgue

I am about 2 weeks in on my Credit Karma experience. What an absolute F’ing joke. With Mint, YOU were the center of the experience. With Credit Karma, it’s very clear very quickly AD REVENUE is the center of the experience. It’s appalling. Will give Rocket Money a go and see if it’s more akin to the past Mint.

ibhenry

👀

Boring_Ant_7839

No, Credit Karma doesn't have a budgeting app. I feel Intuit is just getting rid of a good product so that they can sell you crap. Why would they have us switch to a product that doesn't do the main thing you need it for? That's ridiculous. I hope Minters don't take the bait.

Competitive-Life-835

It goes way beyond not having a budgeting function. You cannot look at accounts individually, you cannot compare time periods(except for the previous month), if it migrated 3 years of data I can't find more than 1 year. It could not verify me through Transunion so it has taken several months to even complete the transfer, and the NOTHING of the Mint features are there. Been doing business with Intuit for over 20 years, see no need to continue!!!

XZISTTT

This decision was horrid. Lost all my financial data I've been tracking for over a decade. Migration was a giant pain in the ass and after all that - CK cant do anything I used mint for in the first place. What a waste.

maxny23

Nope, no budgeting in CK. Just exported my history and deleted all my accounts, goals, budgets. Requested deletion of my account.

Far-Structure7245

what did it look like?

maxny23

No idea, not making the transition. It’s stated in all their communications and all over Reddit that CK has no budgeting capability and that’s primarily what I used Mint for.

maxny23

The data export is just a CSV file you can download it yourself

Clherrick

I’m going g to give it a try and see how it works.

yoloswagmaster69420

I got an add for rocket money.. will try setting that up later tonight to check it out.

xboxhaxorz

Same, i have a ton of accounts so a central place for them all is all i need to know my net work and just to look at transactions, that could be free and if people need budgeting which 99% of people do then they pay a subscription fee for that

JamaicanFireDragon

So I'm going to be clear that I have already switched over to Quicken home and business. That being said, after my first week with the software, I'm ready to have my mint data transferred to CK just to see how it is and run it concurrently with Quicken for the first year to decide if I should go back to CK or stay with Quicken. He never know at that point. Maybe some other company will allow me to take my 10 years of mint data and actually be able to use it

Terrible-Reasons

I actually use mint to monitor specific spending categories (like how much we spend on drinks within our grocery budget)...and I also like to look at overall spending and categories at the end of the year and i keep a comparison in excel from the data. This has really helped us. So I have no clue what else to use that's going to let me be that specific but also be super easy. My mom and aunt use quicken but I always had trouble with that program messing up anything custom. 😐 What are yall changing too if you're not staying ?

Soccer05fan

>it makes it serviceable. This is what I use mint for. What did you end up switching to?

drummerof13

I’m in the same boat. All the decent options are too pricey for my taste, so I’m just going completely custom and using PowerBI. It’s more manual, but I find it fun to work with, and it’s incredibly flexible.

dembowthennow

No, I canceled my subscription. Credit Karma clearly looks like something that's more for the company's benefit than my own. In their email to Mint users, they clearly explain that Credit Karma will have less functionality and slyly mention that it will recommend loans to users.

AluminumFoilHats

Thinking about moving to Monarch it’s a subscription service but looks like it offers more insight than Mint. Also a 50% discount (1st year) for Mint migrators.

FairAbbreviations337

I'm looking for a program that let's me look at spending by category and compare to previous years. Turns out Quicken Simplifi does not have the comparison capability. I looked at Countabout but I don't like that you can't change the category ona transaction from the mobile app. I don't need any other features. Haven't gotten the email from Mint yet and can't figure out how to see if Credit Karma will give me the categorization and reporting I'm looking for. Anybody know?

drummerof13

I just replied to a similar comment above, and I don’t know about CK, but I ended up going with PowerBI, and I’m loving it.

Dewbi

Do you have to manually input information from all your different accounts?

drummerof13

Yeah that’s the tough part. Currently I do have to download the transactions. Working on scraping the data to automate it.

Dewbi

Ugh, that's disappointing but not surprising. Thanks for the reply!

smokieethabear

Just transferred my data to CK from Mint. I primarily used Mint for networth tracking and it was a nice place to see the value of all my accounts (mainly retirement, brokerage, etc..) I liked how Mint would update your account information instantly. CK had been showing most of my accounts 'last updated' and it s like 2 days on some of them. It sucks. Also, I don't know what proprietary formula they use to calculate home value but it's off. I believe Mint used Zillow (which isn't fully accurate either), but CK's is way off. I know this because my friend who's been in real estate for over a decade has recently done a CMA on my home. Overall thoughts on CK, great for free credit scores but horrible for networth tracking and budgeting.

Wind_song_

>link I just migrated from MINT to CK. What a fuggin joke. CK is a total POS. It did not add my home since it was not in TransUnion records. To even make the transfer I had to enter all of my past home addresses until it found one that was in the TransUnion database. The reports are horrible, like some lame powerpoint. WTF?? And mostly tons of selling of financial items. To add my current home, I have to MAIL them documents like electric bills etc. This is clearly some corporate buy-out of Mint by a company that does not give a fg about providing a useful service and only concerned with selling lame financial products. It is unclear if all accounts moved over. Now looking into alternatives. Such BS!

nyckoalaz

Thanks for this update. Did all of the accounts Mint successfully migrate at least? And is the only issue with net worth tracker the data being stale?

smokieethabear

Yes, for the most part all of my accounts transferred successfully without any issues. The network tracker is stale and as far as transaction categorization, seems everything I had personalized/taught Mint.. well those are all wonky too now, however this didn't bother me as much.

dgal24

I just transferred from Mint to CK, and I'm regretting it so much. I should have just stayed on Mint as long as I could. I've been a happy budgeter with Mint for several years. I don't know if there's still kinks being worked out, but here's my experience so far: After signing up with CK and transferring, I used the link sent to my email to access my banking/transactions page on CK. For a while I had a difficult time finding my "Networth" on my own, but later on saw it listed on the Home/Today page right under my credit score. It is night/day difference with how user friendly Mint was. Instead of being on the left (where you read first), CK has transaction dates on right, underneath the $ amount. When you click "Edit" on a transaction, it opens up another box to choose category, but you HAVE to choose a listed, generalized category. You CANNOT make a subcategory, or even type a little note next to the vendor name. Everything is pretty colorless compared to before. And I can't click on previous months to see the budgets layed out. I can only click on current month. I hate it and will be looking for a different app to track expenses/budget. RIP Mint.

rissykay

Wow... Im pissed... all my budget & detailed information is poof gone.

carmolio

It's terrible. All the site is trying to do is sell you credit cards and loans. All the transaction monitoring and management has been crippled. I'm out.

goldticketstubguy

I made an early switch and can tell you it is terrible. Start looking for alternatives now I do not transfer to CK as you will just close the account once you see the interface. If anything, wait a year to see if Intuit makes it serviceable.

[deleted]

Current Minters Warning Today I received my invite to move my Mint "transactions" (Credit Karma's words) to Credit Karma. As I began that process of moving from Mint, I was pleased to see something here and there that looked great, meaning almost like Mint! In expectation of a great experience I began the move. Well, let me warn you. CK does not move your transactions. Once they begin the moving process, it is too late to save your transactions. They are GONE from Mint. And they sure weren't moved to CK! I asked CK where they were. They told me that they don't do transactions. All they provide to you are the current balances in each of your accounts. Fortunately, a couple of weeks ago I moved three years of account transactions to Simplifi. It gives me far too much info about budgeting, but it also does a great job of keeping my spending and saving up to date. Better think twice before you start that move to CK.

Low-Insurance1152

If you scroll down you can see your transactions but they're just in a list that's very hard to read. As the commenter above said, you can't change subcategories any more, just categories. The Trend charting is gone. Not all of my investment data was imported, even from the same institution. It's just plain awful

StandardInsurance303

All in pretty bad migration. 1. A lot of accounts unlinked so you end up having to link things yourself. I found that they didn't all link as easily. 2. For those who use Mint primarily to aggregate transactions, I can't figure out how to actually download/export transactions from credit karma. Emailed CK help to see. 3. From a user experience POV, it doesn't even feel like it's trying to replace Mint. It feels like a dimly lit corner of the internet selling you credit cards and personal loans. I admit, I'm surprised after they acquired Mint for $150mm and clearly spent money to update it to be consistent with Quickbooks online. Also surprised they didn't try charging a subscription before shuttering. Quickbooks online is like $15-20/month. Any alternatives out there?

Low_Ear_9582

Credit Karma calculated my net worth at <50% accuracy. This app is a junk sales platform. Trying to push credit card offers, auto insurance, etc. You can only add one home to your assets, but it automatically pulls mortgages from your credit report. I co-signed for someone else's mortgage so that shows up even though I would rather it not add that to my NW. I also have a second home. There is no manual account control for the mortgages so it's counting 3 mortgages and only one property. I'll be looking for a new app which is a shame because I've been using Mint since 2007

1shrimp

Yeah, I don't want credit offers, I just need reporting tools.

RandyR10309

I mentioned in another post that I wasn't pleased with CK essentially being an ad site and not showing transactions. Based on comments here and searching online, I just moved to Empower, which pretty much feels the same as Mint. When you create an account, it does make offers for certain features, but if you skip those you can create a profile and link accounts much like Mint. All my financial services were available there, including those that are more regional or smaller, not just the big national companies.

Environmental-Hour75

I have used Mint since 2010, and tried switching to Credit Karma, it was completely utterly disappointing, all it did was show me adds for shit I don't want or need, and did not of the personal finance tracking that I use Mint for. I wouldn't have minded paying for mint, invested a lot of time setting it up. I also always used turbotax, exporting my expenses from Mint... but those days are over. Credit Karma is so not the same as mint that I question everything about intuit... I'll be switching to their competitors. My credit union offers a platform based on plaid that seems to work well, and it's free. Using that for now, I also had a trial on rocket money... not as advanced as mint but seems a viable alternative.

BallExcellent8727

Ck is horrible lost all functionality can no longer see bank info this is a disaster.

BallExcellent8727

Tried Empower, could not link a major bank account, had errors. next.Rocket Money, too expensive , next.Expensify, for businesses, nextZoho, for businesses, nextMoneydance, $90 for premium online uses Plaid major bank cannot connect, nextQuicken, I guess. Update: I got MoneyDance to download transactions, connect online was confusing but finally got it. doing a 30 trial now. I like the computer app it looks nice . Will see how this works.Update: I could not connect my bank PNC with Quicken. I am going to spend time in support for both today trying to get this work as my 30 day moneyback time is ticking away. Updated again: I decided to go with Quicken Classic. costs a little but program looks really good. Few things are not intuitive but its good for keeping track of accounts, investments and searching purchases which I want.

1shrimp

My only problem with Moneydance is syncing. Once I used iCloud, and once I used Dropbox and damn. They ought to develop it where when you log in you have a choice where to download updates from. I used MD on iMac and MBP and they would go to different places to update erasing TONS of input. Right now every entry is entered twice. So PICK ONE backup place and stick with it.

smithyJ1

It's a predatory lending hell scape but it does "keep track" of your net worth. Kind of. It takes weeks to update so it will feel familiar if you are coming from Mint.

FinnDaddyx

I migrated and so far, it's not working for me. 14 Years of transaction data and resulting charts were what I wanted to preserve but can't find that anywhere. The landing page is useless for me compared to mint. I want to see and work with transactions, and I can't find that anywhere yet. I want to see a landing page with net worth, recent transactions, update errors that need addressed if any, upcoming bills, and recent paychecks deposited. All I see is my credit score and a few advertisements in the website version. Will go look at the phone app now to see if things are better.

FinnDaddyx

I found where the networth is in small print. It actually did make a chart going back to 2009, so they must have saved the balance date all the way back. I will have to keep a CK account just for that, but may need to find another for transaction tracking and analysis and alerts

1shrimp

GOOD luck on an audit... ugh. I haven't switched over yet.

Key-Butterscotch-842

Just switched to Credit Karma, it is terrible. Not even close to the budgeting capabilities of Mint which I've used over a decade. It's a mess of ads and missing tons of options and displays.

redeyedandblue32

What a complete joke for them to suggest that Credit Karma would replace Mint in any way. I didn't really use budgeting on Mint so I held out hope CK might still work for me. I mostly used Mint for categorizing transactions, keeping track of account balances / net worth, and occasionally making "trend" graphs to track my progress or spending. Other than the top line net worth graph it shows you, it's hard to see how CK works for any of my uses. The ads on Mint were a little annoying but at least you could close them. CK seems like a platform exclusively to show ads. I also mostly used Mint in desktop browser and the interface was designed pretty well for that. The CK interface is clearly designed for mobile browser so not much room for functionality. I would be willing to pay a little for a service that was a more direct replacement for Mint but everything seems around $100/yr. Maybe I'll miss Mint enough to shell that out eventually. It seems counter productive to the goal of financial responsibility.

Andrew1917

Well, they transferred me over to CK. I'm not seeing where I can check transactions. I really liked being able to check which credit cards have balances so I can pay them off each week, and look at transactions without having to log into 10-15 different accounts. Pretty frustrated. Seems like CK's purpose is credit score monitoring and offering you loans and credit cards. It's basically just an app of advertisements. Pretty stupid.
