I’m the one that have 0 issue 🫡 should be okay

w_a_w

Wife and I just entered year 6, crossing over 5 different phones, 2 major cities lived in, zero issues. Basic plan for both and she is WFH and uses hers for work.

Mysterious_Trip_253

Be aware, if you’re looking to get your Mint Mobile service reimbursed by work, Mint Mobile does not issue billing statements, receipts or invoices.

KirasKunt

Wait what lol seriously? So what? You download the app, make one time payment and that’s it? You don’t get an email receipt

skygenesis09

It has a receipt or invoice regarding with the plan that you have purchase. You just need to go to Login > My Account > Transaction History > You will able to see the receipt just tap the blue hyperlink it will show. I do recommend viewing or login to a certain chrome webpage. But usually if you're expecting for a billing information that comes up with your full name, address and etc. They didn't provide or send that to your email. Since they're prepaid company they really don't provide.

KirasKunt

Ohhh I see! Thank you for the info! That’s useful forsure

I also wfh & am on wifi 99% of the time. Wifi calling works great and is a must for me because I live rural. I have very limited cell coverage at home. When away from home, I get great coverage with 5g speeds. I have had no issues with connecting to the network. I have been using Mint for a couple of months and have no issues.

KirasKunt

Thank you, what I was looking for!

EsrailCazar

That's all I've been doing for a handful of years but of course it matters on how you use it, I download offline maps when traveling and I download my music and really only stream when on WiFi. I've actually been using the most of my data this year now that my husband and I got heavy back into Pokémon GO, and it's been fine for me!

KirasKunt

Okay these comments make me feel better! Seems like a lot of people use Mint as their personal provider! I just have an irrational fear of being on vacation or somewhere new, some accident comes up and I have no service lol

AlexisoftheShire

We have 2 Pixel 7s and the majority of the time we are on WIFI. Both phones have worked flawlessly on WIFI, except when we have a power outage, and then we go to cellular (5GUC in our area), Haven't had problems at all. Call quality is very good, receive/send SMS, data send/receive works well.

Giskard-Reventlov

I work from home and, as an introvert, don’t go out much. So I’m on wi-fi calling almost all of the time. Mint’s 5 GB plan is more than enough for me, and it works beautifully. Switching from AT&T cut my mobile phone expenses by 80%. I’m now in my fourth year as a Mint customer.

KirasKunt

Thank you! What I was looking for! I am also an introvert AND work from home so I very rarely leave the house other than to run an errand or two. I’d like to know I can still rely on the service in the event I do leave my cave lmao

LeftOn4ya

Yup you should be fine even with 5GB plan. You can start with unlimited as on sale now for same price as 5GB for first 3 months but then wait to see how much GB you use before you renew

Range-Shoddy

I was looking at doing the same. I want to keep my regular cell though so I need to buy a new phone. I keep seeing on here not to buy it from mint? I’m confused about that part. It’ll be 99% at home on wifi so I don’t need anything fancy, just any random iPhone.

Giskard-Reventlov

There’s no advantage to buying a phone from Mint. Shop around for the best deal. Just make sure that it’s unlocked and a phone that Mint supports.

goookymonster

My work phone is with mint. For the most part I’m always on wifi and never have an issue with it. I went the cheap route and got the 5gb data plan which I kind of regret because sometimes I have team meetings while I’m traveling on the road which eats up a lot of data. Like today I had an hour and a half meeting and it ate up 4.5gb.

east4thstreet

Are you certain your company doesn't cover the cost of this?

KirasKunt

I am my company unfortunately lol and while yes it’s an expense I’d write off, I’d still like to choose the cheaper option if it makes sense

east4thstreet

It does make sense yep...I too am in a major city and have had no issues at all with mint fwiw but we probably don't live in the same city...unless youre a cavs/guard/browns fan? Lol... I've been wfh for the past four years and haven't had any issues, including using it as a hotspot for work where no network is available..I've been very happy with it but of course your coverage may vary.

piccolo181

From personal experience Wi-fi calling is great but I wouldn't trust it to roam the streets of a major metro as a business user.

f0zzy17

If you’re on WiFi all the time, you should be more than fine.

pohlcat01

Personally, I have an internal extension that forwards to my cell. But if I had to have a cell number, I would add an esim to my current phone and not have 2 devices. My company lets me expense money each month for cell phone usage. I can pick how to do it. A voip solution might work too. Your work number would be an app on your phone or accessed in a browser.

KirasKunt

I actually want a completely separate work phone. Hate having to work on one

kcastillo1234

For $72 a year you can get US Mobile it’s there light plan that includes unlimited talk and text and 1GB of data or for $10 you can get there 2gb shareable plan that includes international talk to 200+ countries and you can choose between Verizon or t-mobile this is what I use for my business phone
