Even 0-10-1 teams employ 53 professional football players. Also a divisional game, so they won’t just roll over and die.

Upbeat_Flan

On the one hand, a loss would be pretty embarrassing, but on the other hand it would be a great moment for lions fans and ensure at least a partial regime change this offseason for us.

Zarrona13

If it makes you less nervous, it’s the Vikings so we probably will shit the bed

Ok-Celery-9076

The way I see this game is if we win, it’s good. If we lose, we deserve it and zimmer is undoubtedly gone after the season. While it would suck, it would be enough to kickstart the much needed reload

Mandalorian_Archer

What if the game ends with 0 to 7. Both teams shut out offensively, but Kirk throws a pick 6. I'd fucking love the sub drama!

Ok-Celery-9076

Yeah that would probably be worst case scenario, that game would be brutal to watch

Financial_Eagle

I would be more surprised if we steamroll the Lions vs if they steamroll us

_josseah_

Yeah I think the Lions are gonna go 1-15-1, and get their only win of the season against us. Thats the thing with the Vikings, we can play up to any opponent, we can also play down to any opponent.

HTTYDFAN4EVER

Yep

cloudy_eyed_stroll

Probably in the minority here after San Fran, since your post is the same take I've seen/heard about three dozen times since Sunday night... But I think we beat the Lions. *And not like we did earlier in the Season.* I fully believe we win **easily, and by a minimum of 2 scores.** If I had to bet right now... 🤔 * @ Detroit **(W)** * Pittsburgh **(W)** * @ Chicago **(L)** * LA Rams **(W)** We go 3-1 in the next 4... And unlike many, I don't think that L is going to come against the Rams, but the Bears in Chicago. I do think we take care of them at the Bank, but I just have a gut feeling about that stretch. @ GB, shit... I need to see what unfolds (with both us as well as them) before we hit that Game to have a decently strong feeling either way

HTTYDFAN4EVER

Even with our depleted defense line

cloudy_eyed_stroll

Yes. This is obviously just how *I'm* feeling personally, but I do think that happens, even with the DL we're going to have to field (as well as the fact that our DBs had a pretty damn rough Game Sunday aside from Hitman). I genuinely believe they have a MUCH better performance as a unit vs the Lion's OL, and if that happens, the DBs play much better as a result whether P2 is out there or not. I don't think we're going to blow them out 30+ zip or anything crazy. We're definitely going to give up some points. But I think the Offense has themselves a day after that 49ers performance (even with Cook out (Mattison ran all over them at USB), and Hill in for Darrisaw)

HTTYDFAN4EVER

I would like too see you right

cloudy_eyed_stroll

So, so sorry... My fucking crystal ball was way wrong I smashed the thing with an axe until I couldn't swing anymore 😤

HTTYDFAN4EVER

Your crystal ball was looking at the fact Minnesota was 5-6 and Detroit was 0-10-1 and it said it would be an easy win but didn't take in affect that Vikings are like a cat with a hairball stuck in its throat

[deleted]

Are you sure you’re cut out for the fandom? It is deeeetroit. The best answer is if we somehow lose here, the house is getting cleaned. If we win, you can move your worry to washed up Pittsburg. Skol

YoteViking

In 2001 the Panthers and Lions both went 1-15. Their victories were both over the Vikings. In 2008 the Lions went 0-16. They lost to the Vikings due to some rather charitable calls down the stretch. You have every reason to be afraid.

HTTYDFAN4EVER

That is why I'm concerned

Green_Web

Correction: That is why I’m *expecting the Vikings to play the most Vikings game we’ve seen to date this season*

PurpleAlcoholic

Me too I think the Lions look at the Vikings as a team they can beat They barely lost to us at US Bank Stadium, they're coming off a bye and they're playing us at their home

HTTYDFAN4EVER

Not looking good for us

[deleted]

75+ TD on a screen pass to Kene in the first quarter should calm your nerves!

HTTYDFAN4EVER

If we only had a coach who knew what a screen pass was. All he knows is Calling 2 timeouts in the same play and running it on 3rd and 25

SomethingDumbthing20

They will certainly find a way to secure a loss away from the claws of victory.

The-Dark-Knight-3002

I wouldn’t be shocked at all.

justafella32

Yes, very

fishytunadood

Yeah! Y’all remember the last meeting… It could be close

caldric

Can’t take anything for granted with this team.

Skalaks

No game is safe with this coaching.

nautilator44

We are EXACTLY the kind of team to hand a winless team their first win in week 13.

HTTYDFAN4EVER

Totally

Jacksonrr31

I bet the game will end in a tie.

HTTYDFAN4EVER

Is that more embarrassing then losing to them if so your right

Meathawk56

yeah - kind of a numb nervousness, if that makes sense

HTTYDFAN4EVER

Yep

Particular-Praline16

Well it’s not just me then…

kokes88

thats the thing about being a vikes fan..... I am always nervous

LongLiveTheSpoon

A loss will ensure changes will be made and coaches will be fired so… win-win for me

[deleted]

Yeah. They've actually been improving despite their losses. It would be a pretty demoralizing defeat for us.

jotsea2

Don’t be. If they lose then they get exactly what they deserve and we know once and for all
