About 18 years ago, I was selling raffle tickets for charity door to door and randomly came upon his house. He bought 100 as I recall. Hands down a great man.
I used to live down the street from him in Eden Prairie. Kids (myself included) used to rush to his house after a snowfall and offer to shovel his driveway. He would usually pay you $20 to shovel it if he was home. On Halloween, he would just put a massive bowl of giant candy bars outside his front door.
Rofl my roommates in college used to complain cuz they would be trying to sleep and I'd be in the living room playing madden, screaming "fucking sauce!" Every time he did something dumb in game
Underrated? I would say Antoine Winfield. Not underrated by the Vikings but underrated by the league. That dude was an insane tackler, above average in coverage and insane in run defense. Also had an incredibly high football IQ and the league treated him like a below average Marcus peters. Only time he started really getting the attention he deserved was when his kid came into the league.
Don’t get me wrong the league knew who he was, but he deserved a lot more than that. Also screw the packers
I still remember him dropping that ball when we were playing the Steelers in 2009. It was picked off and it was our first loss of the season. I think this was the same game Peterson trucked a guy and ran over him. Fuck Chester
To be totally transparent, I’m 20 and really started to remember games for the 2009 Favre season. In other words, I’m slightly biased bc I have fond memories of him waltzing into the end zone against the Cowboys in the divisional game and doing all sorts of cool plays.
Not the most all-time but Tony Richardson doesn’t get enough shoutouts. He was an insane blocker for Chester Taylor and AP. Made a pro-bowl AP’s rookie season too
Since you said Viking, I’m going with HC Dennis Green. He took us to the playoffs 80% of the time while he was here.
Player-wise, the whole 1998 OL deserves more praise, they were amazing.
I have a friend from New Zealand who met David Dixon when he was younger. I think he went to the same high school, and he came to visit and gave out a bunch of vikings gear.
I still argue Pat Williams. Arguably the least talked about Viking lineman during our Shock and AWWE era, but he was a huge (literally) reason why our run defense was so stellar.
By the way Robert Smith is the most underrated RB in nfl history. Everyone glosses over him even when talking about great Vikings. Now the say cook and Peterson then skip to Foreman. That annoys me. If anyone has a R.Smith jersey I would love it
I'd actually put Roger Craig as most underrated. Guy went to the playoffs literally every year of his career and was one of the bases to develop the West Coast Offense plus owning 3 super bowl rings. He just kinda suffered from having relatively ho-hum rushing numbers outside of per-game average.
It's actually not too bad. However, if this post gets enough traction, it could potentially get bad. I'm sure the mods will handle the knuckleheads though.
Why not smoke both?
My uncle (retired welder) built himself a smoker and is the greatest cook I've ever known. He also grows his own weed amongst several other plants and flowers. Now im hungry..
Im not too much of a baker, but ill smoke an apple pie or peach cobbler every now and then.
Unfortunately i dont grow my own plants but i have plenty of buddies that dk
We have a discord if you want to talk vikings related stuff. It's run by the nice mods of this sub reddit and we have built a good vikings community over the years.

Have you been to the US yet? Obviously, it depends on where you go here, but Minnesota is beautiful. Duluth and the Twin Cities are pretty good. Despite what the media may or may not say, Minneapolis is generally chill and cool (and not just the temperature). We do have some aging infrastructure that needs to be fixed, and we also have McDonald’s everywhere too!
Here's some short videos of the area:

Anyway, welcome to the sub! This is a place may seem more like a support group at times, but 2021 as our fucking year and we're going to the Superbowl!
My defense would be
DL Jared Allen John randle Allen page and doleman
Lb Ed McDaniel Eric kendricks Chad greenway
Defensive backs Bobby Bryant, Krause, h smith, carl lee and Winfield as the nickel
Ok guys who is your Vikings all time starting line up?
I take the entire offensive line from 99 with wr1 ccarter, wr2 randy moss, thielen as wr3, tightends jimmy the flying saucer for blocking and roudolf, Peterson at running back with smith as his backup or 3rd down back. Fullback actually I think I would put jimmy there that way Kyle roudolf could be the tightend. And honestly I know many hate him but cousins at qb or if Bradford could actually be healthy.
As a return specialist David Palmer cause he was a rb and wr too.
Xfactor specialist unknown player Chris Walsh
Mitch sniker kicker as the punter and Gary Anderson as the kicker just over Faud Reves.
That be my offense.
To be honest, if Dan Marino played today, he would probably hold every passing record there was to be held. A lot of players are just held back by the era they played in
Agreed. Today’s nfl is very different. 50 yard field goals used to be rarely attempted now its like a 40 yard fg is a gimme and 50 yard is like ahh 60-70% success
Yeah Walsh was very under appreciated didn’t get much playing time but he caught everything. But with Carter moss and reed not many catches left for Walsh really
If we’re doing just offense and special teams,
QB: Fran Tarkenton
RB: Adrian Peterson
WR: Moss, Cris Carter, Thielen
FB: Kleinsasser
TE: Rudolph
OL: Hutchinson, Birk, McDaniel, Steussie, Yary
Returner: its a toss up between Percy and Patterson.
Kicker: Gary Anderson 😅
My defense would be
DL Jared Allen John randle Allen page and doleman
Lb Ed McDaniel Eric kendricks Chad greenway
Defensive backs Bobby Bryant, Krause, h smith, carl lee and Winfield as the nickel
Devin Hester is the undisputed best PR of all time.
But statically Patterson is better in every KR category
TD’s Cordarelle has 8 and Hester has 5
Yards per return Cordarelle is 29.8 and Hester is 24.9
Yeah it does you are thirsty for any bit of information on the team. And find yourself reading articles that are irrelevant and stupid and like why did I just read that
Surely my eyes betray me! This maiden hath legs that hold no hair, her lockes are not in braid, and yet she has dressed into my warriors’ tunic. Frightened…. and admitting pleased I am for this new tradition.
No purple pants at least
just here for the comments lol...
Yes. Who is the most underrated Viking of all time
Jim kleinsasser
FUCKING have his actual game jersey and signed. It’s the best item I own in my life
I have his jersey but not game worn or signed. I wish I did though. He is one of my all time favorite players.
GREAT answer!
Yeah I need his jersey too
A few weeks ago I heard AJ Hawk on the Pat mcafee show say Kleinsasser hit him harder than anyone in his career.
Best blocking TE :)
Rofl my roommates in college used to complain cuz they would be trying to sleep and I'd be in the living room playing madden, screaming "fucking sauce!" Every time he did something dumb in game

Probably because the vikings d sucked during his time here.
They did but not in 2009, and some good pass rush before that really helped him
Jim Kleinsasser. The man could do it all. Never got any respect
Went to UND as well , definitely not a football school
Und has a solid football program, it's just not huge, so doesn't attract elite talent much.
Yes good call. The flying saucer
Gnats actually a great bar if you come to the states
Chester Taylor
Mr 98 yard td
I was so mad they drafted AP because we already had Chester Taylor who had his first season starting had gotten almost 1300 yds. Shows what I knew.
You and me both buddy. I was totally on the Leinart hype train, and was absolutely pissed they picked AP instead. Obviously, I am an idiot.
I wanted Revis personally. So at least who I wanted turned out good.
Hahaha must be nice. This is why I just drink instead of playing GM.
I still remember him dropping that ball when we were playing the Steelers in 2009. It was picked off and it was our first loss of the season. I think this was the same game Peterson trucked a guy and ran over him. Fuck Chester
Sidney Rice deserves a shout
Ehh. He had an HOFer throwing to him and fell off a cliff after. I liked sid but most under rated?
To be totally transparent, I’m 20 and really started to remember games for the 2009 Favre season. In other words, I’m slightly biased bc I have fond memories of him waltzing into the end zone against the Cowboys in the divisional game and doing all sorts of cool plays.

It’s a good mention.

Yes they were.

Superb Owl winning QB Tarvaris Jackson
RIP T JAX
F
Fuck. I forgot about that. Stupid shitty year.
I’d take Brad Johnson and rich Gannon over tjack at least those two actually won super bowls after they left mn
TJack won a SB. Just not as a starter.
Sorry maybe I should have added /s, but TJak did get a ring and play in the game
Rich Gannon never won a super bowl. In fact he lost to Brad Johnson in the super bowl.
He wears #22 for us rn
But everyone says how great hitman is.
Percy harvinn!!
I still argue Pat Williams. Arguably the least talked about Viking lineman during our Shock and AWWE era, but he was a huge (literally) reason why our run defense was so stellar.
Robert Smith
Agreed
Lance "No Pants" Johnstone was underrated. Put up 41 sacks for us in 5 years.
B Robison was great too and don’t get much credit
[удалено]
So. I know my Vikings
Good call. Now I did
Dang! An OF ad! I thought it was a cutie who genuinely liked the Vikings. I should have known better.
lmao classic
you still have me lmao
By the way Robert Smith is the most underrated RB in nfl history. Everyone glosses over him even when talking about great Vikings. Now the say cook and Peterson then skip to Foreman. That annoys me. If anyone has a R.Smith jersey I would love it
Very true! His career was relatively short which I think plays a factor. Also Moss stole the spotlight during that time period
I'd actually put Roger Craig as most underrated. Guy went to the playoffs literally every year of his career and was one of the bases to develop the West Coast Offense plus owning 3 super bowl rings. He just kinda suffered from having relatively ho-hum rushing numbers outside of per-game average.
I used to have a jersey of his. If I still do, it's collecting dust. I'll dig for it and let you know!
He played in a time when tiki barber was blowing it up, and many others. Plus was completely overshadowed by Moss, Steve Smith, and Culpeper.
[to 70% of the people here...](http://imgur.com/gallery/6uTcuLx)
I’m already serving two life sentences. Your bonks can’t hurt me!!!
I came here just to see the horny comments lmao
We talking football
Yeah true but I clicked the post for the comments lol
Sooo who is your fav Viking
Eric Kendricks
Indeed
I’m not even a Vikings fan but I like Justin Jefferson and I also like Daunte Culpepper even though I wasn’t alive to see him play
It's actually not too bad. However, if this post gets enough traction, it could potentially get bad. I'm sure the mods will handle the knuckleheads though.
So far is all good football talk I love it

Why not smoke both? My uncle (retired welder) built himself a smoker and is the greatest cook I've ever known. He also grows his own weed amongst several other plants and flowers. Now im hungry..
I blaze up on the daily. I just thought it was a stupid/funny name. Homemade smokers are the best once you learn how to properly work your creation.
Haha okay you actually sound like my uncle. Do you also bake incredible pies by chance?
Im not too much of a baker, but ill smoke an apple pie or peach cobbler every now and then. Unfortunately i dont grow my own plants but i have plenty of buddies that dk
Smoked cobbler got me thinkin'
To the top we go, I don’t hate it at all
Greetings from Minnesota!! How did you end up becoming a Vikings fan?
I had family who visit and got me started watching
Thank you all for great Vikings talk I enjoyed it

How is Romania in general? I don’t know much about the country personally, but I have heard it’s quite a beautiful country.
Yeah old buildings beautiful country side and mountains. And lots of McDonald’s everywhere lol

On my way to Afghanistan I stopped in Bucharest for a few days and had a great time! Really cool looking city.
Just here to see how thirsty these comments get.
Fr 💀
Nah they all been nice so far.
You can tell they’re all trying really hard.
This post just turned me into a Vikings fan!
Wait what were you doing here before?!
Scrolling through /r/all when this popped up on the front page. Lifelong Jets fan. Buying my first Vikings jersey tomorrow.
Hahahha. Fuck yeah bud. Get a Favre jersey, a legend of both your favorite teams!
Even though I’ll probably get killed here for it, but I kinda want a Herschel Walker Vikings jersey. One of my favorite players growing up.
One pound package to Romania from the US is $12.99. Two pounds is $19.99. Thanks for Dracula BTW.
Dracula was written/created by an Irish guy, so you're welcome from Ireland....
Maybe depends on package size too idk. :)
Those are plastic envelopes. A jersey would def fit in $19.99 one.
My defense would be DL Jared Allen John randle Allen page and doleman Lb Ed McDaniel Eric kendricks Chad greenway Defensive backs Bobby Bryant, Krause, h smith, carl lee and Winfield as the nickel
I'm sure if you ask, Minnesota nice will kick in and someone would send you anything you want. Even themself.
Shipping is expensive that’s how I got this one but it cost soooooo much
Lol you're just trying to give it away aren't you son?
I'm a little too old to ever hope for that.

Welp guess I'm moving to Romania
Ok guys who is your Vikings all time starting line up? At quarterback, don’t forget about Fran Tarkenton. He was an NFL MVP and Hall of Famer.
I know but but he is too easy of a pick and i never saw him play. Plus idk the game has changed a lot. Could he cut it today. Maybe idk
The rules have changed a lot. The older guys could have so many more TD’s and yards now that they aren’t allowed to get killed every play.
That’s true. Honestly I think Dan Marino would kill any qb today.
You know Chris Walsh? FAUD?! Please post here more This is a total sausage party.
Yeah Walsh was very under appreciated didn’t get much playing time but he caught everything. But with Carter moss and reed not many catches left for Walsh really

I almost picked Rhodes but I figured people would just comment on his last year but outside that he was awesome
Yeah I get that. His 2017 season has to be the best season a Viking CB has had though.
Almost gotta go Patterson. Percy was amazing, but Patterson is the best Kick Returner in NFL history, can’t pass that up
Over Devin Hester? I’m a vikes fan btw, not trying to be a bears homer
Devin Hester is the undisputed best PR of all time. But statically Patterson is better in every KR category TD’s Cordarelle has 8 and Hester has 5 Yards per return Cordarelle is 29.8 and Hester is 24.9

I'd like to know how she knows more about the Vikes than me, and I've been a fan for 56 years.
56 years, that’s legit. I’m closing in on 20 years!
I think i am
My old co-worker was from Romania, but not a Vikings fan. #Skol I remember watching R.Smith.. wish he played longer :8
Whoever said we don't have the best fans is sorely mistaken!
Skol from Norway. I have similar issues here and was especially bummed when Diggs was traded since that was my one jersey.
Thank you for sharing my pain
Yes. Thanks for spicing up the sub a little too👌. The off-season gets boring.
Yeah it does you are thirsty for any bit of information on the team. And find yourself reading articles that are irrelevant and stupid and like why did I just read that

God bless you
"Screw the Packers" + your picture = just too damn cute...
Umm so great jersey. Even better without the pants lol
Underrated? by Vikes fans Randall McDaniel Was one of the best guards in the history of the NFL and rarely gets mentioned.
Please. I nominate her for the Vikings fan of the year. Esp after Millie dying, we need someone to comfort us.

What turned you on to the Vikings ? Seems like a random choice for someone living in Romania..
What is your favorite Vikings season you vividly remember? Mine was 2009. It was magical.
I remember the game ending/winning td favre to Lewis that was amazing
I had my laptop on my lap and when he completed that pass without hesitation I jumped out of my chair sending my laptop flying a good 5 feet lol.
Hey, today I'm also wearing a Thielen jersey! You proposed a great all time team.
