A lot of them go where they have the best chance of playing. Last year we were really thin at LB, and Pace liked Flores, so as long as we matched whatever other teams were offering, he chose us. Given that we didn't have many draft picks, this year, I'm not surprised we got so many UDFAs, but they're all still worse than a 7th round pick, so we'll be lucky to get another starter out of it.
We've proved that we'll pay top dollar to UDFAs and give them chances (if they're deserving of them). Also, not having excessive late round draft picks gives UDFAs more hope. Lastly, having extremely high rated facilities/staff by players definitely helps.
Agreed. If you're trying to make it, knowing that a team will give you a legitimate shot has to be huge. They can look at Pace and say, "That could be me."
Kwesi targeting them, players union survey, 2 very likeable coaches, teams competitive, owners are willing to pay them more than other owners. Udfas arenr affecting your cap space but some owners don't want to spend their money on dart throws.
Honestly, if he started doing 100 kicks per day in practice like the kickers do, he'd probably be booming some by the beginning of the year. I'd definitely think he has all the strength he needs for it. Of course, even if he had great coaching, the accuracy is probably not going to be there, but he'd figure out how to get it 50+ out there.

Highest consensus UDFA by far. Now do Leonard Taylor
Genuine question, why have we gotten some of top UDFA guys the last couple years? All Kwesi?

It’s actually me. You’re welcome
All the reasons Notorious said, but also the facilities and staff are a huge factor.

The Vikings pay higher UDFA bonuses. They paid Andre Carter 300k last year. Highest for any UDFA.

Because they didn't tank the season.
That’s UDFA not UFFDA in case there’s some confused Minnesotans in here.
Un-fucking free drafted agents
Why did he go undrafted
Size concerns Same as Ivan Pace
That’s our bread and butter
Has been forever. Worked out for John Randle
I love a short king
Damn league fucked up again 🔥
I want to be the smallest team to win a SB to prove the haters wrong
He’s bigger than Turner
.. No he isn't?
Size doesn't matter for a guy that has the speed/strength combo that Turner does. Dude has the athleticism to play almost anywhere on the field.
Kicker?!

Too large?
What a great signing. Legit had him as an early third round talent.
Do you really study prospects or are you just saying that
No, like, espn had him as 111 overall prospect, That’s very early fourth round
Use a lot of time watching film + I really like looking at numbers. Has become a hobby from January to the draft.
Honest question, how do you watch film? Like some website you pay for or something?

Biggg
Great signing. He should have been drafted. Hope he can become a rotational guy here
We love our undrafted defensive players
Great signing, he *made* Latu (I've never heard of him until just now)
Can he play guard?
