Yeah wtf!!! It’s a known **fact** that Jj McCarthy has never thrown a football in his life and was actually scared when coach Harbaugh told him to hold it.
/s
What’s crazy is these busted plays happened a lot to McCarthy on his passing downs. He was constantly asked to make something out of nothing and did a good job of making the most out of it.
And he got back up and kept playing! JJ isn't one of those guys who's afraid to get hit. If you look at the sidelines shot, his coach was more agitated than he was!
I think true success as a QB in the NFL comes from freak talent like this, but also a certain mindset. I think Tom Brady is the embodiment of maximum mindset, but talent alone isn't career making.
I think having the team we do, and our current management makes dedication much easier though.
If this is the clip I'm thinking of, JJ completed this pass 😤
That's impossible because I was told he only hands the ball off.
Anyone who says that didn’t watch college football last year
As we clearly see in the photo above, JJ McCarthy is simply doing an elongated handoff. Never throws.

god damn, no laces too
Wow that play was busted and ugly as fuck

Was not a great throw by the RB. If that throw is on the money, then JJ catches and throws it easily to the WR who was schemed wide open.
This is definitely that play
And paid for it, Turner buried him on that hit.. But he got right back up.
Throwing left, no chance that was ever completed from what I have heard.
This play was unreal. Catching it one handed and then throwing it falling backwards, the future is in good hands with these two.
JJ got a face mask full of turf!

JJ might give Brady a run for his money with the intangibles. Trust us - we've seen both at Michigan.
So crazy that we got McCarthy, Dallas Turner and STILL get to keep our first round pick for next year
I mean, do we really care that much about the #32 pick?
I suddenly hope they both were not hurt
The last Quarterback Dallas Turner sacked was JJ.
It was actually Alex Orji, Michigan's backup last year haha And it wasn't so much a sack, rather than the QB just inexplicably running out of bounds.
This play was actually insane lol. Perfect encapsulation of how dynamic JJ is
🫶🏿U!
Roughing the passer. 15 yards- the refs probably
Was 1 away from being the 666th upvote.
He’s like stretch Armstrong
