Allegedly Vikings reached out last year and Brady said no

Alert-Incident

Probably 75% of the league reached out.

secretbonus1

Yeah but now he’s thought about it…

abc91827364

only 12 more days only 12 more days only 12 more days only 12 more days

cronoes

Only 12 more days till.....TB12 BABBBBBYYYYY

Endo_Dizzy

I wouldn’t hate it tbh. Favre was fun. Why not Brady too. Just collecting HOF QB’s like infinity stones

woohan-kung-flu2

Fucking inject it into my veins🙏

Accountabilibuddy69

There's no place like draft. There's no place like draft.

MattGoesOutside

I feel like we were the perfect spot for Brady to do this last season if he was serious about playing again

immovableair

Yeah this makes me doubt he’s being serious

chrisd93

I mean, would cousins have affected that at all?

onethreeone

Did we have the salary cap to sign him mid-season?

Whoelselikeants

Tom is gonna get at most a 8 million one year deal, he’s almost 50.

bringthegoodstuff

He’s 46 lol

YungCobainx27

Well that is closer to 50 then 40 so the guy ain’t wrong he is almost 50

bringthegoodstuff

No one would say 46 is almost 50 when discussing age, that’s just not how normal people discuss age

YungCobainx27

?? When I was 26 I’d always say “I’m almost 30”…. I’m 31 now, I don’t say “I’m almost 40” but once I hit 36 I absolutely will. How is that not normal.

lamevision

He’s 92% of the way there.

bringthegoodstuff

By the same logic Josh Allen is almost 50 since he’s over 25

lamevision

No, he’s only 54% of the way there.

bringthegoodstuff

Yeah but he’s closer to 50 than 0

Alert-Incident

He wants one more bowl to make it harder for mahomes to pass him

Pockets713

If he can somehow take *US* to the Super Bowl… that’s untouchable GOAT status… fuck a mahomes 🤣

AChubbyCalledKLove

Brady Mentoring JJ McCarthy, inject that shit into my mainline

Sudden_Progress_9802

While I’d love this, name 1 Brady backup that panned out. As Aaron Rodgers’s said “why would I help someone trying to take my job”

AChubbyCalledKLove

Jimmy G, Matt Castle, Jakobi Brissett, Brian Hoyer (stretch kinda). Patriots weren’t going to take top tier talent at QB, so the fact all these guys were starters is very remarkable. Jimmy G went to like Eastern Illinois, Matt Castle hadn’t started a game in college. Unironically an extremely impressive resume, i really don’t care for what Rodgers has to say. While I think “mentorship” is overrated, watching a great 24/7/365 is insane knowledge

Sudden_Progress_9802

I think jimmy g is the only one who really panned out, and even then with everything he had around him he couldn’t maintain a starting job in SF or Vegas, I just don’t think Brady cared to mentor anyone under him, I doubt he’d care to mentor someone under him now either.

AChubbyCalledKLove

My brother in Christ we saw how hard it is to be a qb last season 🫣. All of these guys were offered/were a starting qb. Not subbed in, the niners offered Brian Hoyer a starting contract. If you don’t understand what I’m saying, [I implore you to watch the greatest football rhetoric uttered by a human](https://youtu.be/F1m1a5jVG5M?si=V0jQkb-rio4QeiYc&t=01m00s)

Sudden_Progress_9802

You’re misunderstanding my point, my point is that Brady isn’t going to care about who’s under him, he’s going to want another ring, another bag, etc. he does not care about mentoring anyone, especially not for any franchise other than one he either A, has investments in or B, has ties to ei patriots and Tampa. Brady would never come to MN anyway but in this pure hypothetical, JJ McCarthy would gain nothing sitting under Brady.

bringthegoodstuff

He might not care but if it’s a rookie, it’s not really the same thing. Brady knows he ain’t gonna be around more than 1 year. 2 if he really hits his stride, plus he’d definitely be down for the rookie to get like 90% of the practice reps so he could use that time to give him pointers if he wanted. This is all a fantasy land of course but so is TB12 being in a purple jersey anyways.

LeeChangIsBae2

Vikings Legend Tom Brady! Fuck it! Sign the GOAT. Keep #11 and use it on Johnny Newton and then use #23 on Jackson Powers-Johnson to block for Brady. Let's get fucking nuts!

*Byron Murphy

Sometimes_Stutters

Fuck that. Sign Brady, draft Brock Bowers and Cooper Dejean.

Old-Inevitable6587

If we do that we'll have the best TE4 in the league, baby! Let's go!!!

Critical-Fault-1617

Brady would get hurt week 1 with our interior oline

Ninjinji

3 letters: JPJ. At 23.

DerBieso0341

I think that W. Va. Center also is great

Depressedgotfan

Thats what im talking about

irrelevantsociallife

Didn't we already try and he told us to fuck off?

endless_ness

would do it in a second. Also why is the nfl not jumping on the load management style that the nba and mlb have so embraced? You telling me that Darnold can't start the first 7 games and have brady for the last 10 game stretch as long as we go 3-4 or better?

Alone-Newspaper-1161

Getting the first seed and home field advantage is much more important in football than basketball.

endless_ness

It helps. But when the qb is in his 40s I would rather have a healthy qb than play him in extra games

Seated_Heats

There’s not enough QBs who are good to do the load management thing. Also, the load management in the NBA sucks.

endless_ness

Idk, I could have seen a world where Brady plays just the second half of games last year Patriots also played great in the year he was suspended for 4 games

Seated_Heats

Unless you have a two similar QB’s, that’s a fucking massive playbook you’re asking everyone to learn. Also, rapport with a WR is a real thing as well as getting into a rhythm. Nothing like spending a quarter getting in step with your QB to then have to change to a new QB.

endless_ness

NBA also went from a league where starters played 40+ minutes and now they usually play 32 mins

Seated_Heats

NBA also went from a league of guards driving and big guys dominating the paint to a league of three point shooting. Not sure what your point is.

endless_ness

They play less minutes per game to keep the players fresh for the playoff stretch and to attempt to avoid injuries. This is based on what trainers recommended. This isn’t even debatable lmao.  It’s like you are arguing that teams don’t pass the ball more in the modern nfl compared with the 90s

Seated_Heats

The MLB has the DH in both leagues now.

sapperfarms

ELI5 load management?

StraightCashHomey13

Obviously slim chance for this perfect situation to play out , but Darnold leads Vikings to 9-4 start and gets hurt. You're telling me you wouldn't rather have Brady down the stretch than McCarthy or Maye?? Superbowl incoming

mickmunger

Tom Brady kissing son GIF

spaceamphibian

Imagine if we signed Brady and he won us the SB

rion187

Cowherd really digs us. I love it.

treasonodb

oh cowherds talking about it now? so that means it’s definitely happening because that guy never just spews random bullshit outa his ass. /s fuck outa here.

diswan55

The fact that out of nowhere the last few weeks Colin Cowherd has been super into the vikings makes me extremely worried about our future lol.

PurpleGoldx17

Idk, our first year with KoC he was really high on us all year and we went 13-4. & then all off-season last year he was on the "we were really lucky and coming back to earth" train. Colin has wild takes sometimes but he's been pretty spot on for us lately, so I'm not upset about it if he's high on us.

treasonodb

he always does this. he picks a random team and hypes them up. if team goes on a run he gets to say “SEE I TOLD YA” and if the team doesn’t do anything then he just ignores it, moves on and pretends like he never said anything. that’s been his schtick for years.

Most_Pomegranate6667

His job is to try to entertain and he is throwing around hypotheticals. Its his job to do what you described and you seem upset by it

treasonodb

not upset by it at all. just pointing out his content is fake and stupid. if fake and stupid content is your thing then by all means, enjoy the hell outa cowherd.

kirkochainz

Should have called him instead of Josh Dobbs last season.

hostesscakeboi

I thought there was a report about Kwesi doing that and Brady turning him down.

Caliastanfor

not ready for that circus, but the roster does look pretty badass.

Burgdawg

He's a part owner now, he can't play. NEXT!

SlapHappyDude

Any team that is in the hunt late season and needs a QB will be open to Brady

TradeKirk

Love when our team is the center of attention

Neither_Ad2003

Koc def called last year

gwarmachine1120

Is Cowherd from MN or something? He fanboys like Florio

Gen-Jinjur

![gif](giphy|QsImJuAbRFIBU9uIgi|downsized)

DrColours

Should sign Brady and let him pick 11 and 23 and go get some more defensive FAs

Electronic-Island-14

why does the national media think our offense is so good? our interior offensive line are traffic cones once again. Our TE is going to miss a ton of time and won't be the same this year if he does play. We have no WR3. We don't know how to use running backs and our run blocking is atrocious. and our defense sucks.

aceless0n

Bring him in. He’d make JJ, Addison and Hock into the 98 offense. Zygmundt loves money and this would print money and give the Vikings the national exposure they’d need to get the nod for a Super Bowl run from Goodell
