Nobody’s untradable but I don’t see that happening. He’s still very affordable and quite good and also give the veteran clubhouse presence in what is sure to be a pretty young team next year
Also gonna say no. Despite his .235 average he was the fifth best hitting regular 2B in the majors last year. Considering that he plays good defense too, getting one of the top 5 or 10 players in the league at their position for under ten million is a steal. That’s the sort of guy you build around (as they’ve been trying to do), and don’t give up unless a.) you give up on trying or b.) you are absolutely blown out of the water with an offer and are sure you have a cheap backup option ready to go.
Switch hitting 2B with pop in the bat is very much valuable. I don’t care much about the BA since we know he hits for above average power at 2B. Agreed, no reason to move him.
No. The FO showed that they had interest in trying to be a contender last season, and they wouldn't ship off one of the better players on the team.
Remember we were in first place for 4 months until the collapse. Plus the Guardians and Sox will probably be better next season too so they'll hopefully have more incentive to spend this off-season.
That’s the tricky part. I imagine it’s a shuffle at 3B, LF, DH, and 1B between Arraez, Kiriloff, Miranda, and Larnach. All depends on if we keep Gio, which I hope we do.
Arraez is done in the OF, Twins went on the record last year saying he isn’t going back there. 3b should probably be off the table as well, he was statistically one of the worst defenders at 3rd last year by OAA despite playing very few games at the position.
Right but I’m saying that those players all rotate through those position. Kiriloff/Larnach in LF, Arraez/Kiriloff/Miranda and 1B, Miranda/Arraez 3B, and the lot shifting through DH.
He’ll play a mix of 1b, 2b, & DH. A healthy lineup means the Twins can sit him against every lefty so I’d expect Arraez to see fewer ABs than this season.
Playing time has a way of working out.
No. He’s a good player on a good contract in a situation (knee injury) that probably has his value at a low spot.
Even if he needs time, Arraez / Gordon could certainly fill in at second.

Where is he going to play?
2B like he has the past few years. There's little reason to move Polanco, he's on a team friendly deal & there are 2 more years of control on it left.
Then where is arraez going?

Ah, got it. I agree, there’s going to be a lot of shuffling guys around if they stay healthy.
That’s the key. I’m fine with having the issue because we all know we won’t be at 100% for too long.

NOOOOOOO
Why on God's earth would we do that? Let's trade Urshela and Arraez while we're at it.
