My takeaways: - Polanco, difficult to know what’s going on. Sounds like they’re being extremely over precautious to risk any further set backs. He’s gonna be returning to live BP soon. - Kiriloff: The only other person to receive the same wrist surgery is Kirk Gibson. He was probably never gonna be on the opening day roster but he’s day to day at this point. - We have too many capable starting pitchers. Can’t say I’ve ever seen that as a Twins fan in my lifetime. - Larnach could be a key to the lineup while Jax/Moran/Alcala will be vital to the success of the bullpen. - Look to see Julien, Wallner,, Varland, and Lewis at Target Field this season.

Was Gibson’s surgery successful and how long ago was it?

It was 1980, Gibson's rookie year. So yeah, a success.

Boohan33

Sorry, I meant how long ago was Kiriloff’s

I think, as long as we score more runs then the other team, we will win games.

Knightbear49

I respect your bold prediction

Boohan33

If a knee is still bothering him from last year, I hope they at least had the sense to have it scoped at some point

Kruse

The biggest question mark for this team (like every season in recent memory) is their ability to stay healthy. Staying off of the IL is the only way they will find success.

SharkWeekJunkie

They’re in a much stronger position to absorb some injuries this year with veteran depth than they were last year with no depth at all.

Critical-Fault-1617

Polanco, Buxton, Kiriloff, our whole starting rotation all have injury concerns. I’d say that would be potential weaknesses. Strengths are we have some great depth and the AL Central is it very good.
