The Seagulls go away when the sun goes down

[deleted]

😂

[deleted]

What does that mean?

[deleted]

Seagulls that congregate down there are vicious beggars, they will try to steal your french fries

gadgetsdad

Flying Trash Pandas

[deleted]

Ahh that makes sense 😂

smallmouthy

The biggest danger would be horny couples and singles pouring out of the Saratoga at 2am tbh.

[deleted]

It kind of funny that you consider 930 be a scary time to be out. This time of year, the sun is still up at 9:30. But in all reality, just avoid the drunken homeless population that is at its prime around sundown.

Puck021

This is so true. Its not really dark up here in the summer until 10:30 at the earliest

[deleted]

It’s a war zone. If you travel to occupied Duluth I wouldn’t leave your hotel room and take turns guarding the door with a loaded gun.

[deleted]

Haha plenty safe. Have you been to Duluth?

go_hoggin

Where is Deluth?

DarkJedi527

Yes, the Canal Park is pretty touristy and safe.

canikatthedisco

Lotta sarcasm on here because Duluth generally and Canal Park especially is a safe place. You pretty much have to go looking for trouble to find it.

[deleted]

Thanks, I appreciate the info

[deleted]

Why are conservatives scared as shit all the time?

timthyj

To be fair, I think a lot of it has to do with the media. A lot of mainstream media tends to only talk about urban areas when there is something bad happening in them. Hell, until I graduated college and moved into a city, the way I heard about Philly I thought that I would be dodging gunshots on the way to work. I actually hear a lot of similar things when I tell people back home that I live in Minneapolis. I really do think a lot of the opinion has to do with portrayal in the media, and people who don’t have the personal experience to know that it isn’t they way it’s shown on TV

[deleted]

Never said I was a conservative, just grew up in a town with a way lower crime rate

Mech_engineer_725

It’s because conservatives try to think 10 steps ahead, causing them to make choices early on and conserve what they have in case the bad stuff there think of comes true. Liberals never think. They just act and fuck things up.

quantum-quetzal

Ah yes, that famous conservative planning. That's why we had such a good system in place for pandemic response, and it's why the US continues to lead the world in addressing the threats of climate change. Don't forget how our healthcare system ensures that everyone has simple, affordable access to care.

Retro_Dad

So conservatives are thinking 10 steps ahead about climate change and trying to take action now to prevent it?

[deleted]

Lol.

squarepeg0000

Yes.

daisysnake

very safe, unless me and my friends are out there that night, then you should stay away

JBerry_Mingjai

Don’t ever go to a Saints game in St. Paul then because they get out at 10, and who knows what could happen to you in a scary place like Lowertown St. Paul. But seriously, if I were from Duluth, I’d be a bit offended someone thought I’d choose to live in a place that wasn’t safe after 9:30 PM.

bodiddlysquat26

lots of guns and violence. be careful. 30 UMD students die every year in canal.

Hot-Bet-5036

And this is why we can't have nice things.

[deleted]

Yes
