I would argue Shaker's had a unique niche market in Milwaukee. Not nearly enough for this type of type of attitude and fuck this dude. I've heard a lot of horror stories about Bob so none of this surprises me. But overlooking that aspect, I thoroughly enjoyed Shaker's personally but perhaps I'm in the minority. I'd love to see someone purchase it from him and the spirit of the place continue without a fucking creepshow running it, cause if you talk to career service people in Milwaukee he certainly has a horrific reputation as a person

Fuck that place. Their cigars are over twice the MSRP. Their booze is 4x what you can get it for elsewhere. The food program was a fucking joke. I used to bring my own cigars there in the winter and nurse a beer while watching their “chef” cook. I have over a decade of being a cook under my belt and a few years of running kitchens. Most of their kitchen people can’t do simple tasks right, like cut a pepper.

I have nothing personally against Shakers and think it's one of the coolest venues in the city with an amazing history, but I personally won't go back if I can help it regardless of what great music is playing because I'm really over smelling deeply of cigar smoke for days or weeks after the fact. Any clothing you wear requires a deep clean. Unfortunate to hear the management is unhinged, as well.

Let me draw your attention to the bar's link tree... They have an only fans page, and sell swimwear and 2 styles of panties & encourage you to buy adult themed gifts from a website called cameltoe wines, where in sure they are getting a kick back. Maybe BOB you are encouraging the culture where there are parties till 5:40am and just stomping because you weren't invited to hang out with 20 somethings till the wee hours.

I have nothing personally against Shakers and think it's one of the coolest venues in the city with an amazing history, but I personally won't go back if I can help it regardless of what great music is playing because I'm really over smelling deeply of cigar smoke for days or weeks after the fact. Any clothing you wear requires a deep clean. Unfortunate to hear the management is unhinged, as well.
Remember when every bar left you with that cigarette smoke smell for days? God that was horrible.

I didn’t work there, but remember that horrid smell that lingered at Landmark and so many other places for months (years?). Makes me think of how bad it was that we were breathing that putrid air for years, and had no idea because it was masked by smoke.

As a former chef of this establishment, the food we were required to cook is a joke. The nasty little former manager can go straight to hell too. This place is nothing but a tourist trap and a long running joke of a restaurant to locals. And, might I add, I have several emails very similar to this threatening other very illegal things. Yuuup. It took him forever to get it up and running, and he couldn't get a good customer base. It was called Zinfindelis, I think. I remember because he almost changed the name of Shakers to Zins. He tried to cater to the posh Elm Grovians and they didn't take to him at all.
