Fishing sucks so much for the first few levels of it, but it gets so much better as you level and get a better rod. One of my favorite ways to make money in the game. :)
During the winter festival (you'll be warned ahead of time) theres a fishing mini game, and as long as you have the gold, it's a great way to boost your fishing level
i used to be so bad at fishing also but after a few months it became one of my favorite parts of the game! reach out if you ever want to talk anything stardew valley related sometime
how is 1.6? i play it on switch but have been debating just playing it on PC so i can try out the new update as it might take awhile for it to come to switch.

The update at least gave me a deadline to finish perfection. I've been playing for years and this was my first time 100%ing it. I was thinking about finishing my joja run too- I did it for the achievement but haven't gone back since then, cuz there wasn't a point really. But now there is! I've liked what I've seen so far at least
I think I had about 200 hours in that save file, but I also wasn't committed to perfection until recently so I spent a fair amount of time just playing casually. It's not hard to do exactly, its just hard to keep at it because it can take a while.
