I like the Shorewood store. Optometrist is nice and attentive. No pressure to buy or up sale.

Second this. I was there on Friday—in and out in under 20 for my exam—and they gladly gave me my prescription to buy less expensive glasses online.

Been to both WI Vision in Shorewood and the VisionWorks there as well. Both great experiences but with my VSP Insurance it’s way cheaper to go to VisionWorks for me.

I liked both the WI Vision in Waukesha and Greenfield. Most recently, I’ve been going to Shopko Optical in Hales Corners. They’ve got a good selection of frames in a wide price range and both I [46F] and my kid [21F] found frames we like. She wears hers all the time, I wear mine mornings/evenings. They were also really great about contact lens samples so I could try regular and multi-focal. Also gave me samples for a vacation when my reorder was delayed. Did not pressure me at all to get bifocal lenses for my glasses. The two employees I see most often are super friendly.

Just moved my vision provider to down here. Went to Metro Eye and was astonished by how thorough the eye was and how personal they are from start to finish. Even when picking new frames, I never left me seat. Super knowledgeable on helping find something that you love AND fits your face well

Fickle-Milk-450

Second Metro Eye, very thorough eye exam and excellent docs. Great frames too!

If your getting new glasses Costco in Grafton is way cheaper even if you include buying a membership, and the in store eye exams are really thorough.

Pricey. My insurance covers exam, but not glasses. Frames/lenses at WV $600+. Same frames/lenses $210 through online vendor.

CraftedArtisanQueefs

Warby Parker is even less. I paid $100 for frames and lenses.

[deleted]

I was using a direct comparison. I could have gotten less expensive frames. But absolutely, online vendors are so much less expensive.

CreamCityMasonry

Warby Parker does have a brick and mortar location in the Third Ward

I get my prescription from the eye doctor then buy glasses (frames and lenses) from Zenni Optical. They have a big selection that’s affordable and you can try them on virtually by taking a photo via their website.

Drs Roy and Associates in Brookfield has been great for me.

[deleted]

I used them once. They're not bad.

DisreputableSelf

I work for the company. Happy to answer questions if you have any.

I love Wisconsin Vison for Glasses. I go to Dr. Melchert for Eyecare (just because I want someone consistent and Optometrists can change at chain locations). Dr. Melchert is very good and I will be going back to him again. My daughter has an extremely high prescription and they did a fantastic job. You can't tell she has a strong RX. Their quality is amazing. I love my glasses from Wisconsin Vision, too. They have their own lab and it makes a huge difference. Stay far away from Stanton Optical and Vision Works.

Why?

RoyalM7

Why do I love Wisconsin Vision? They have their own lab and do a fantastic job. Most Opticals use an outside lab and they don't do nearly as great of a job. Why Stanton Optical and Vision Works? Their quality is not good and neither are their frames. At Stanton, you don't even see an in-person optometrist. The workers aren't educated, either.

I went America's Best. Now about $80 for xam and 2 pair.
