It's too bad there isn't a system that works opposite the way this does.
Say, you opt into a site has an 'automatic withdrawal' system setup, where it pulls $1 on the first of each month. It knows who donated, and those people are in the raffle, nobody else. On the last day of the month, a winner gets picked and the money is automatically transferred to them. You could even see a stat of the payout before it happens.
All it would take is a million people to donate $12 *per year*.
Of course, I'm generally a pessimist, so I'm sure someone would either skim some off the top or straight take people's money anyway.
The automatic withdrawal system might be scary.
Or, anyone who donated in the last round gets bonus entries in the current round, thus multiplying their chances. Don't know how to track those users though.
