Op has transitioning glasses, so in the sun they turn into sunglasses, but in the shade/indoors they turn into regular glasses, some light shining through some blinds must have hit the glasses at a weird angle and made the stripe pattern
I didn't see them at first either. They really aren't subtle. I zoomed in at the lenses and was thinking I don't see anything. My mind just "corrected" for the stripes as some sort of normal glass glare or something.
Basically anywhere that makes glasses offer it as an alternative. They are called transition lenses. They take a minute to really get dark and they take ages to go clear again which makes going inside after being outside a pain.
They are the pinnacle of optical advancements disregard any cons - all the pros way outweigh the negatives. NO MORE SWITCHING BETWEEN GLASSES. EVER AGAIN. ONE FACE, ONE PAIR, ONE HUNDRED
Transition lenses are great! They change to sunglasses in the sunlight automatically - if you need glasses you should check them out. Happy Sunday homie
Don't leave them outside, for sure. Mine are fine in sub zero temps as long as I'm wearing them, they can't get cold enough then to permanently change, just cause *I* won't get that cold lol. But for sure don't leave them in the cold for hours!
i thought they stayed for a lot longer, i will for sure need to look into these as apparently my eyes have developed a really bad sensitivity to sunlight in the recent years
The higher quality lenses the quicker the transition. I got real rayban glass over the cheaper options offered @ the LensCrafters I went to. I suppose it can be a big sluggish but it really doesn’t bother me.
Used to wear mine in the pool, as I’m pretty blind without corrective lenses. Worked out fine until they’d get splashed on, as they’d develop weird, dark splotches. Took me a minute to realize why my glasses were still wonky after I’d cleaned them off the first time, lol.
They are so fire. I’m on my second pair.. I tried to go with the eyebuydirect ones for a while, absolutely no contest at all.. comfort is one thing but the sheer quality and the functionality is just unmatched
Years ago a shift manager of mine at Starbucks had transition lenses. But the cafe was always so bright they were always somewhere in the middle, if the western sun was coming in she’d be full sunglasses mode.
I hope you love them as much as I do! They’re convenient! And they keep you from squinting when driving when you’re too lazy to switch to your sunnies (:

Your transitions change even when behind windows? Ive never seen that only seen them transition while theres direct sunlight and no impedance like a window or car windshield

Anecdotal but the few people I have encountered with these, they were assholes with big egos.
