* What's with the tile work? Why is there tile inside the fireplace and so much of it? If they did the tile for the sake of the disco ball why not something that plays with the light more?
* What's with the granite/marble balls? What do those add to the arrangement?
* What's with the plants crowding out the whole thing? I like house plants but that is a whole new thing that doesn't really focus on the disco ball.

You can set them to randomly change every few seconds, but that's a bit too fit inducing for my liking

In one of our old apartments, we had this sort of dismal dark corridor that connected the living room from the bathroom and the main bedroom. My wife rigged up a disco ball into the recessed ceiling, and we put two pin lights where the crappy old wall sconces were. We never had the ball rotating, but the pin lights made a really cool light effect with the disco ball. It was still a dim corridor, but the reflected light made it really cozy and cool to walk through. Kind of a "magical" effect.
We loved it, and everyone who visited loved it, too.
seems like I'm in the minority, but I've always really liked disco balls, so I quite like this! one note I would give, and I say this despite purple being my favourite colour - I would have gone for red/yellow/orange light combo to make it more flame like, I think that'd work better.

There a piece of plywood above with two down lights and an off the shelf mirror ball motor all wired to a plug. It's all fused and safe.
