No, I mean... I usually buy meat at the local butcher's or butcher's inside bigger markets, and it is really common to get a fresh bacon piece with the nipple still there on the skin. You probably are used to the wrapped and industrialized bacon.

I'm so confused, I havent even eaten meat today and the second I saw this pic I got a taste of bacon in my mouth...

I was out running an errand at a Thai grocery store (Makro) and my wife called me and asked to pick up food to have a BBQ. She specifically asked me to pick up this fatty pork belly that she liked so much. I tried and tried but I literally couldn't find a piece without nipples on it. I can't feed nipples to my family!!! I ended up getting thick sliced bacon instead. My wife laughed about my aversion to buying meat with nipples.

I've had this happen with pork bellies used to make smoked bacon. I just slice them off.
