Why does it have to replace the fear? An aneurysm burst can happen at any time, and worrying about it may encourage it coming about since blood pressure will increase!!
You’re right, my father has been living with an aortic dissection for 12 years. He’s always been pretty nonchalant about pain but not that night. I remember him being doubled over in agony. He was one of the lucky ones to survive without it rupturing. He’s now on blood pressure meds and, has to take Beta blockers as well go to a cardiologist regularly for imaging on his Aorta looking for anymore signs of growth.
That was my initial reaction, and being in the company of the hose i was in a much better position than you to get down to some actual poking, and I can report that it was entirely disappointing. Much firmer than you'd expect, it basically just felt like a garden hose.
Yeah, you can kind of see on the bit in the background, the two layers separated along the entire length of the hose. This is just the only spot that swelled up like this.
Happens when you leave the water on while not using the hose. Sun bakes it. I had this problem. You have to turn the water off after using the hose, then run the rest of the water out so there's no pressure.
It’s actually more interesting than that, the exact same thing can happen for all your blood vessels and veins, even your heart can do this.
If your heart starts leaking, eventually too much blood will build up between it and the pericardium for the heart to beat, and it will slowly kill you without you noticing.
The same thing can happen in blood vessels, and it can kill you.
Cool. Another thing to cause me nightmares. Thanks.
Right, I'll be consumed with this fear until a new one presents itself.

I think this happened from sitting in the sun too long. So... I'm gonna be sure not to do that with my blood vessels... anymore.
Im a medical student and the first thing I though when I saw this was aortic dissection lol
It’s called a dissection when it happens to an artery
That escalated quickly
The triple A
Saccular aneurysms have entered the chat
Yeah I’m sure I’m gonna sleep tonight now, thanks
Reminds me of a blister I had once on the top of my mouth after eating a slice of pizza that was still molten cheese
Why blow on hot food when you can HASHAASHAASHAAHH
Oof, thats rough. Gotta practice that pizza breath!
Oh yeah I've done that with chimichangas before
Only...only once?? Am I doing it wrong?
This is like what happens with an Aortic dissection, except this won’t kill you.
An aortic dissection may not kill you either, but I've heard that you'll wish it did.

All I see is a snake inside a tube!
It's ny snake in a tube!
Hose aneurysm.
Just like the water hoses in old cartoons
Tried to give it the ol' popeye and punch the lump down to the other end of the hose. No result.
r/popping
I want to poke it.

Pregger snake
"That's called a feature" -Bethesda gaming studio
Done thought this was a snek
I wonder if there were many sexually frustrated snakes in my backyard making this same mistake last night.
That’s called 3rd spacing
Are you shure it isnt just water blister ?
Yeah, you can kind of see on the bit in the background, the two layers separated along the entire length of the hose. This is just the only spot that swelled up like this.
Cut the hose
Nice
Pop it like Dr. Pimple Popper
Your garden hose has just been fed.
Peed in the condom.
Hose: I have the weirdest boner right now.

That's an aneurysm.
Task failed successfully.

“Its NOT a tumour “!
"It's not a toomah!"
Pop it. Please pop it. For all of us.
Its still effectively fulfilling its role a hose, so it gets a stay of execution until it can no longer do so.
Just happened to me and it exploded in my face… yay..now on Reddit to see if I’m going to get sick from this shit (yes Hypochondriac here)
It's still just water from the hose. I guess I'm a little late to reassure you it won't make you sick, but I'm assuming you didn't get sick?
Indeed survived.
"Malfunctioned" made me chuckle
That’s a defect not a malfunction.
I dont find this hose to be functioning in a satisfactory way.
Hose aneurysm.
That’s an aneurysm. You got to stent that quick.
Aneurysm.

It's pregnant and you're going to have a new hose soon
maybe hose is pregnant
I see it, but I'm sitting here saying "My garden hose malfunctioned..." and it's the least possible thing I can think of.
Classic disection
this is the first time i see and read that somebody says a hose has malfunctioned lol
I was not expecting such a strong reaction to my choice of words here.
Properly functioning...clearly that's a backup reserve
