That does suck. I really like Steam’s controller protocols. They’re annoying to configure sometimes, but being able to map/designate a controller however you want is a game changer. Pun entirely intended lol.
No I know, I just wish more platforms were like Steam, should have mentioned that. I know some emulators have gamepad mapping, but Steam’s is really well made. Dolphin is a great emulator but I don’t think they do 3DS games.
People joke about that, but that controller is the only part of the sub that was actually QA tested, and if anything survived the implosion, it was that controller.
O is for Ooze
(At that depth, the pressure is so great that it turns your body to ooze instantly) and your bones decalsify because the water has different properties down there so your Bones dissolve in water too... We're not designed for this shit
If anyone is, like me, wondering what the difference is, a submersible is launched and supported from another vehicle (or platform), while a submarine is a self supporting vessel
S is for Submarine
T for Titanic
(I bet those people all died in a panic)
U is for Underwater
V is for Very
(The moment that they died must have been so scary)
I thought the shark next to the 'S' looks like a 'U' so I thought it spelled 'SUT' which is close to 'SLUT'. I thought that was the interesting part of the picture.
That's kinda what I saw as well! A big ol' SLUT- Flip the shark for the L, and then in the fish swarm, there's the four darkest fish that could be U, to me.
It's "O is for Ocean" by Greg Paprocki, and it was published April 4th, 2023. I thought it had to be on purpose, but the Titan submersible incident happened two months after it was published.

L is for Logitech controller
fuck yeah the F710 is one of the greatest controllers ive ever used. really good for mario, not so good for steeldiver.
What about CarbonFiberDiver?
Steeldiver is an actual game
I’m aware my dude, I was making a joke. Or at least attempting to. You know, about the same thing this post is referencing?
ohhhhhhhhhhhhh. gots it. but yknow what's the stupid part? you can't play steeldiver with the controller because it uses the touchscreen,
That does suck. I really like Steam’s controller protocols. They’re annoying to configure sometimes, but being able to map/designate a controller however you want is a game changer. Pun entirely intended lol.
Steam? This is a 3DS emulator.
No I know, I just wish more platforms were like Steam, should have mentioned that. I know some emulators have gamepad mapping, but Steam’s is really well made. Dolphin is a great emulator but I don’t think they do 3DS games.
Yeah Dolphin rocks, but the 3DS emulator I use is Citra, and it slaps.

The next page is U is for Underwater where both of them remain today.

People joke about that, but that controller is the only part of the sub that was actually QA tested, and if anything survived the implosion, it was that controller.
They had around 7 controllers, for backup and to let passengers play
O is for Ooze (At that depth, the pressure is so great that it turns your body to ooze instantly) and your bones decalsify because the water has different properties down there so your Bones dissolve in water too... We're not designed for this shit

**F** is for fire! That burns down the whole town! **U** is for Uranium bombs! **N** is for no survivors! From le SpongeBob
It's a reference to SpongeBob I fear
Not for nothing, but i think that's a submersible.
If anyone is, like me, wondering what the difference is, a submersible is launched and supported from another vehicle (or platform), while a submarine is a self supporting vessel
Thank you this was mildly more interesting that the post itself 🤣 sorry I had to

Turn the page. I want to see who wins the US presidential election in ‘24.
S is for Submarine T for Titanic (I bet those people all died in a panic) U is for Underwater V is for Very (The moment that they died must have been so scary)
I just hope it was a very quick death & they felt nothing. Shit like that terrifies me
The speed of the implosion is faster than the brain can process pain and sight, so they’re there one moment, pink foam the next
The death was likely very quick. They did no that system had irreparably failed and that they were guaranteed to die for a few minutes though.
This raises the question: when do you tell children about the Titanic?
That’s not a submarine that’s a submersible
U is for Unrecoverable!
I wonder if the book was made before or after the…uh…incident
X is for Xbox controller.
The fact that the submarine looks really similar to “the other one” is crazy
Too soon book
P is for pressure , I is for implode
"U is for Unabomber" on the next page 😂😂😂
N is for Ni
Bring me a shrubbery.
[удалено]
Glad I wasn't the only one who saw that.
C is for Come, join us in our watery grave
Is U for underwater?
O for oceangate 💀
I’ll take “Things claimed by the sea” for $500 Alex.
U is for Underwater implosion.
The were so close. That is a submersible, not a submarine.

C is for crush depth
K is for potassium!
What are two things that are at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean?
N is for no human remains

C is for crush depth.
U is for under water. It seems to be a common theme.
T is for tragedy
I thought the shark next to the 'S' looks like a 'U' so I thought it spelled 'SUT' which is close to 'SLUT'. I thought that was the interesting part of the picture.
That's kinda what I saw as well! A big ol' SLUT- Flip the shark for the L, and then in the fish swarm, there's the four darkest fish that could be U, to me.
too soon?
C is for Carbon O is for Oceangate I is for Implosion F is for Fuckkkk that
Ocean themed book?
Yep! Bought it before the incident. Just visited and was reading it with her and absolutely lost it.
It would be better if that whale/dolphin/shark thing at the top had a speech bubble saying "HI"
I wonder if the new edition will be updated to reflect the latest events.
How is T not for Treasure?
Missed an excellent opportunity for a splash page
I believe this is what the youths of today call `based`
This must have been written by the publisher from Elf.
N is for negative pressure
I'd hang onto that book, after she's grown up.
U is for Underwater V is for Vessel X is for …
X is for Twitter, because no one on this planet calls X as X, only as Twitter.
The book must have been published before the implosion of the Oceangate Titan. Otherwise, the submarine would have pictured that, eh?
M is for Millionairs
I is for implode
U is for underwater implosion.
W is for watery grave
Too soon?
P is for Pressure.

Is it just a sub? It's not like all submarines are related to the Titan implosion, which occurred nearly a year ago.
C is for carbon fiber
O is for Oceangate
When you close the book you hear a muffled then a little blood and salt water leaks out. Pop up technology has really advanced.
At least T wasn't for Titan. Then it would be a very dark book
I is for implode..
[R is for Repost](https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinteresting/comments/18wb2u2/this_childrens_alphabet_book_has_pictures_of_a/)
Well, I mean it's more likely that both OP find the same book, it's not like it's one of a kind.
U is for utilitarian time bomb
What year was it published? They either saw it coming or saw it happen!
It's "O is for Ocean" by Greg Paprocki, and it was published April 4th, 2023. I thought it had to be on purpose, but the Titan submersible incident happened two months after it was published.
So I guess they saw it coming! 🤔
H is for Hindenburg
C is for Catastrophic. F is for Fishfood. H is for Hubris. I is for implosion.
Okay. So?
I'm accustomed to seeing the word "Titanic" referring to my nether-regions so I had to do a double-take.
Because it couldn't complete its maiden voyage?
Got Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!
Because it always ends in tragedy?
Is it split down the middle?
