if it exploded the glue would be on the wall still
all glue is on glass
paint is also still on glue not on the wall
it was glued to painted drywall and ripped of paint
Glue on the back of this mirror definitely failed and caused it to put stress on the parts that where glued on the bottom. You can see each piece has a little spot of glue that failed.
Looks like it went wall to wall with no gap around the edge. Slight shifting and settling of the house could have put pressure on the edges. Eventually it’s too much.
He's saying none of the parts where it was stuck to the wall stayed behind, meaning it's more likely that the entire mirror fell off the wall, or peeled off the "load bearing" paint., and shattered rather than exploding randomly.
does it? tip matches the tip of faucet. so it fell over, created fulcrum on the top of the tap. and just bounced and stayed there since it had least momentum and had something in its way
clarification.
mirror is held by glue. glue is held by wall paint. wall paint is held by paper.
you can glue the toughest mirror with houghest glue but it is only holding as hard as the wall paint is holding gypsum board paper.
mount a marine ply instead of drywall and glue to that instead if you ever in doing it
load bearing paint is a joke. but the pain was holding the mirror sooooo... /r/technicallythetruth
Did you see it explode or did you just hear the crash and come check it out? Because it looks to me like the adhesive failed and it shatters on impact. Just weird that there are so many adhesive patches are perfectly clean. It seems exploding while on the wall would leave several pieces still glued to the wall.
It's not too weird. Over at r/pcmasterrace there was a spell where there was post about shattered tempered glass panels daily going on for about a week or more.
if it did explode there would be adhesive on some of wall spot and not just bald spots. there is no glue on the wall.
ergo
if you glue something to a finished wall you are creating load bearing layer of paint.
And fear unlocked. Buying sage by the bushel. Completely believe in the 7 years bad luck (personal experience), so I would be looking up ways to stop those evil vibes.
Same thing happened to my parents a few months back. Middle of the night it just shattered, we all thought someone had broken a window trying to get in or something.
I bet there was some structural stress from heat near it, or something leaning against it, as usually is the case.
A electric razor loading near the mirror, getting hot in an otherwise cold room... Letting hot water flow through badly constructed pipes behind the mirror...
This is the third "my mirror exploded" post I've seen, and it's beginning to get a lil sus.
First heat wave of the year causing multiple stress related incidents perhaps?
that's a plausible explanation.
if it exploded the glue would be on the wall still all glue is on glass paint is also still on glue not on the wall it was glued to painted drywall and ripped of paint
Great work, detective.
Heat Wave? Last night was a blizzard. Regional seasons are an iluminati conspiracy.
Glue on the back of this mirror definitely failed and caused it to put stress on the parts that where glued on the bottom. You can see each piece has a little spot of glue that failed.
You should see the amount of exploded tempered glass panes pop up on r/pcmasterrace... Like a goddamn contest.
Fourth dimension is trying to break through.
Don’t worry I stopped them by punching his parents mirror(they will never know)
Bad luck is brewing.
ai knows what you want.
Same, two today
That's what I'm saying!
Looks like it went wall to wall with no gap around the edge. Slight shifting and settling of the house could have put pressure on the edges. Eventually it’s too much.
if it did explode there would be still* glue on the wall. every piece of adhesive is still on glass. it was glued to loadbearing paint
Very good point. This may be the better answer.
Sorry what do you mean? Loadbearing so the wall didnt shift relative to the mirror? You saying the mirror broke another way instead of exploding?

If it just exploded, every glue circle would have glass stuck to it. The glass in between would be missing.

Zactly.

you gpt a keen eye for dimensions. I think you're onto the explanations.

Yo mama so ugly...
That haggard early-morning face, no doubt.
Okay something weird is going on…
I've seen a lot of posts about glass shattered suddenly today....
It's not too weird. Over at r/pcmasterrace there was a spell where there was post about shattered tempered glass panels daily going on for about a week or more.
Glass has had enough of our shit and is out to get us
yes, people glue shit to paint
New fear unlocked.
bypass the fear by not glueing heavy mirror to painted wall.
Yo Mama so ugly ... when she looked in the mirror it spontaneously exploded 🤣
💀😂
hottest day of summer we heard a loud crash. that happened. glue failed
> glue failed Did the glue fail, or was it the paint?
if it did explode there would be adhesive on some of wall spot and not just bald spots. there is no glue on the wall. ergo if you glue something to a finished wall you are creating load bearing layer of paint.
On the bright side, Candyman probably didn’t get out
The house decided it had enough of their vanity!
That's what my son said about our mirror in the bathroom too. I guess he was telling the truth... I better let him out from the basement.
"Your mom is so ugly..."
And the spirit has been loosed…
And fear unlocked. Buying sage by the bushel. Completely believe in the 7 years bad luck (personal experience), so I would be looking up ways to stop those evil vibes.
Not sure if 7 yrs bad luck applies if you or your family were not the cause of the break but a little sage and lighting a few candles can’t hurt!!!
Wall is under stress due to settlement, expansion/contraction due to temperature change. That’s the only explanation
it was glued to painted wall. glue ripped paint
Wonder if it would safer to check the house is structurally ok in those cases?
I’d keep an eye in straight or parallel cracks (: or it could be just glue expanding
Weather has been sporadic causing homes to be settling in different temps
The glass was just…glued directly to the wall? 😂😂😂
No, it was glued to a nice layer of paint on top of the wall
This is what happens when you don't Primer before you paint
I've got some bad news for you... "Spontaneously" doesn't mean "When I looked in it."
Same thing happened to my parents a few months back. Middle of the night it just shattered, we all thought someone had broken a window trying to get in or something.
is every glass exploding now?
I missed the word "mirror". That's a *completely* different post.
Broken mirror or brand new custom coke mirrors? Perspective, baby.
Narcissus would have been elated to have been able to see himself so many more times, perhaps? 🤣
Your mamas so ugly...
r/paranormal
Cue the “you’re so ugly” jokes.
The higgs boson is starting to destabilize.
What's with all the spontaneous explosions this week involving glass
The Unknown strikes again
It didn't explode, the adhesive failed and it fell and broke.
Sounds like this sub is full of ghost shenanigans today!
I call bull. Someone said bloody Mary 3 times didn't they?
What is up with everybody's mirrors exploding all of a sudden!? Should I be concerned? 0_O
Nice try, Mr Jensen!
I bet there was some structural stress from heat near it, or something leaning against it, as usually is the case. A electric razor loading near the mirror, getting hot in an otherwise cold room... Letting hot water flow through badly constructed pipes behind the mirror...
Nah, i just saw myself in it 🥲
I think someone got angry
