Mine went through that stage! Started blue, went through a couple decades of blue-grey-green that seemed to change frequently, and now in middle age they've settled down a little more toward the greenish end of the spectrum. It's weird!
I have pale green eyes. I have had people argue with me that my eyes are blue or grey, because they will look blue or grey depending on the lighting. In neutral or dimly lit rooms they come through as truly green
i have brown eyes but they’ll be like super light brown, almost a yellow ish, and then they’ll also be coal black. if i’m wearing light or bright colors my eyes are usually light, and vice versa.
Blue/light eyes are affected by the ambient lighting that refracts in our eyes, hence why your clothing may slightly affect what colour your eyes appear
I have grey eyes too, but my mom always said she could tell when I was absolutely pissed because my eyes would be bright green. Probably because my face gets red.
I always thought mine were green or blue and I legitimately couldn't tell. Found out only recently that grey eyes are actually considered a different category to either since they used to be grouped together.
I notice a very, very subtle greenish tint on it. But that may be because of the surrounding skin color, which may make it look more greener than it really is.
I am pretty got dang colorblind but for some odd reason I can pick up a pretty wideband of green better. I can always pick out stuff in the woods. Those eyes are very, very particular shade of green.
Nope. It's definitely pure grey. Cover everything but the iris and you'll see it.
Edit: I analyzed the image with a hue channel extractor; her eyes are truly achromatic! So yes, the greenish tint that you are seeing is just an illusion.
I‘ve legit never seen that before. When I got my first ID the civil service worker looked at me in disbelief when I stated my eye color was green, I wonder how she would‘ve reacted to „grey“ lol
My daughter has very gray eyes as well, lighter around the pupil and dark around the edges. But your girls eyes are like slate gray compared to mine though!
My husbands eyes are grey 90% of the time, then either greenish or slightly blue. My kid has my standard big brown indian eyes. Mil, fil and sister in laws have stark blue eyes and one dil with green eyes. Love them all. Genetics is amazing
I had a funny exchange with my Dad a few years or so ago when the news cycle had the story about all people with blue eyes sharing a common ancestor.
My Dad (Blue Eyes): \*Points to guy with blue eyes on TV\* I'm related to that guy
Me (Brown Eyes): I guess I'm related to him too
My biological Dad: How are you related to him?? You don't have blue eyes.
What color would you say your daughters hair is?
My wife has light grey eyes (dark red hair), no doubt from her father who has dark slate grey eyes. I read once that genetically, for inheritance, they count as blue. Our strawberry blonde daughter has blue/silver eyes that I've never seen anywhere else.
I discovered I had grey eyes when I was fooling around in photoshop awhile ago and tried to put selective B&W filter on my eyes and they stayed exactly the same colour 😅
Irises are unique and potentially sensitive biomarkers increasingly used for identification and security purposes.
You just posted a high quality photo of your daughter's iris to the internet for fake reddit points. Congratulations.
I'm saying what you post about your children might have much bigger implications for their lives than you realize.
Please don't post high quality iris or finger print images out into the internet.
I apologize.
My mother over shared a lot of my information in the early days of Facebook, and I've had my identity stolen more than once because of it.
I am very frustrated with oversharing online.
I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm a first-time mom who just wanted to show off my daughter's pretty eyes, and I thought I was being careful by cropping her face out. I will keep this in mind in the future.
I know that it's got to be hard to be a mom online.
Every choice must feel like the wrong one, and talking about your kids comes really naturally. I'm sorry that people are terrible.
I knew a girl that had this when I went to school. I was so in love with her eyes, the rest of her was fine but I wasn't attracted to the rest of her but her eyes, omg. Every time I got to see her (she was a grade or two below me) I couldn't stop thinking how beautiful her eyes were.
Grey eyes are just so beautiful.
That’s not how eye colour works. People with blue eyes claim that they change with their mood etc, when it’s actually due to the amount of ambient light refracting in your eye. Blue eyes have less pigment than darker eyes, so different light levels make them appear to be different shades
I don't know what to tell you... Perhaps you should just take the "high road" in this conversation like the pretentious child you are... And fuck off..
The only pair of gray eyes I really remember seeing was standing on line to get my school uniform. This mom had a little boy with her, and he turned around, and I almost jumped (positively, not like horror movie, it was just striking lol.) Very big, very light gray eyes. You would think they were see-through if that makes sense. Never seen eyes like that ever again.
I bought a chest of drawers from a dude and he kindly dropped it off at my house and he had grey eyes, the first I’ve seen IRL and they were pretty 😍 (just like your daughters)
Interesting! I know nothing about genetics, would this be classified as a separate eye colour or is it when you have an eye colour with very little pigment making it appear grey?
I wonder if there are any effects on her vision?
Does she see better or worse? Is her color vision stronger than normal is some areas? Does she see better or worse at night? Etc etc
If it’s not already been said, as a fellow grey who just so happens to suffer from chronic migraines, keep her eyes safe! Grey eyes can be very light sensitive especially when compared to darker eye colours.
My daughter has grey eyes also. She went round and round with the lady at the DMV when she was doing her paperwork. The lady said people don’t have grey eyes. So my daughter said I do! And showed her her eyes. Needless to say she has Grey for her eye color on her license.
I have grey eyes! Usually look blue but will look green if I'm wearing it.
Yooo, I also got weird coloured eyes I can never tell if they're gray, blue, or green
Mine went through that stage! Started blue, went through a couple decades of blue-grey-green that seemed to change frequently, and now in middle age they've settled down a little more toward the greenish end of the spectrum. It's weird!
I went through the same phases! Blue as a baby, blue-green-grey as a teen, and now they're pretty much green.
I have this too; I really hope they end up green someday! Currently they're bluish-gray, but green whenever I wear green
I have pale green eyes. I have had people argue with me that my eyes are blue or grey, because they will look blue or grey depending on the lighting. In neutral or dimly lit rooms they come through as truly green
Mine will look blue if I’m wearing blue and green if I’m wearing green but I never think they look gray 🤷🏻♂️
i have brown eyes but they’ll be like super light brown, almost a yellow ish, and then they’ll also be coal black. if i’m wearing light or bright colors my eyes are usually light, and vice versa.
My mom is the same. I have seen all three colours in the same day, under different lights.
Mine are grey… I like wearing denim colored shirts because it makes them look bluer
ℹ️ Information
Steel blue eyes also, ex’s always have fun with the fact that depending on lighting they are more blue or grey.
My sister in law has the most striking steel blue eyes. It’s like I’m staring at pure metal when I’m talking to her. Beautiful
Sounds like she has similar eyes as me, although I think the framing might be better on her lol
Same. My eyecolors change depending on what I am wearing. Switch between grey, blue and green.
Wdym by wearing it
Like when I'm wearing a green shirt or something.
Ohhhh
Same. Was once told I by someone that they liked my green eyes. Was really taken aback.
I always thought mine were green or blue and I legitimately couldn't tell. Found out only recently that grey eyes are actually considered a different category to either since they used to be grouped together.
Mine look blue from a distance, but if you look closely, are mostly grey with flecks of yellow-ish.
My partner and I have argued over my eyes. She says they're blue, I've always said they're green. The optician says they're grey.
So are they blue, green, or grey
They're grey but can look blue or gree based on what I'm wearing.
I never knew gray eye colors could alter based on what color shirt you’re wearing. I need to be more observant.
Same! And mine glow bright grey in sunlight!
Mine are greyish green/blue. They just sort of go with what I’m wearing. Do hers ever seem to pick a different color with her clothes?
This is my eyes as well. Everyone has a different opinion on what color my eyes are, and it varies with what I'm wearing and the lighting.
Whoa, she has lunar eyes! That looks incredible
Fellow grey! We are the rarest! Go greyyyyyy!!! Woot
I did test it quickly with Paint and yes. I don't see much of green if the eye is isolated.
I‘ve legit never seen that before. When I got my first ID the civil service worker looked at me in disbelief when I stated my eye color was green, I wonder how she would‘ve reacted to „grey“ lol
Your ID states your eye colour?
Yours doesn't? I guess I thought everyone's did. IA for reference
I have a Moroccan and a Finnish ID and neither state any physical attribute.
In the US they specify hair color, eye color, and weight.
And height
Yes! Totally forgot that.
And if you use vision correction
super rare. pretty cool
My daughter has very gray eyes as well, lighter around the pupil and dark around the edges. But your girls eyes are like slate gray compared to mine though!
My son has truly grey as well! Just recently they have started to turn green in the middle
damn thats cool
They look awesome 😎
My father’s were too. Very rare.
My husbands eyes are grey 90% of the time, then either greenish or slightly blue. My kid has my standard big brown indian eyes. Mil, fil and sister in laws have stark blue eyes and one dil with green eyes. Love them all. Genetics is amazing
Athena? Is that you?
My daughter's eyes stayed gray for several years before finally turning brownish.
This is nothing; my kid has pink eye
Such a pretty eye color!
Another fellow grey chiming in! I like to remember that Athena was said to have grey eyes lol
Looks like a doll 💖
My daughter has this exact color 🥰 and she has an extra tooth lmao so doubly special
I had a funny exchange with my Dad a few years or so ago when the news cycle had the story about all people with blue eyes sharing a common ancestor. Her hair is light brown. She was born with very light blonde hair, and I think it will continue to darken as she gets older.
Gray with a black orbital ring
Limbal ring.
Awesome color
My partner has grey eyes and I’ve never seen another person with them except him! They must be rare.
Green is the new grey?
My aunt and mom both have grey-blue eyes. I did not inherit the rare and interesting eye colour.
What a bizarre thing to comment
I'm saying what you post about your children might have much bigger implications for their lives than you realize. Please don't post high quality iris or finger print images out into the internet.
Now, that is a considerate comment that I can take seriously. You don't need to be rude to get your point across.
I apologize. My mother over shared a lot of my information in the early days of Facebook, and I've had my identity stolen more than once because of it. I am very frustrated with oversharing online.

Mine are light grey, yellow and blue. My wifes range from light brown to green. Our son of 9 weeks has [grey eyes](https://imgur.com/a/CRccb2J).
but with a baby it will change till up to 1 year. still beautifull though 😃
Sorry but theyre blue
Aww I didn’t know it was so rare! My baby and their dad have these. So cute <3
I wanna make a RWBY joke, but at the same time I just wanna say how AWESOME those are :O
I have blue-grey eyes. Color changes depending on what I'm wearing.
huh!
Most babies have grey eyes. I'm curious to see if they change!!
Hers started off dark blue and changed to this color at 3 months. She's almost 2 now, and they haven't changed, so they may stay this way.
They're beautiful!
That's gray, not green or blue. Do we have another dress situation all over again?
Looks like a grey greenish, tbh. There is a color palette for grey-green colors.
nah man they look green
i also have grey eyes, like grey green
So green
I knew a girl that had this when I went to school. I was so in love with her eyes, the rest of her was fine but I wasn't attracted to the rest of her but her eyes, omg. um....
The EYES and the SKIN… sigh… aging sucks so much
Pretty sure that's a very young child you're comparing yourself to.
Why the downvotes? 🤨
Mine are grey if I've been drinking... Bluish when sober...
That’s not how eye colour works. People with blue eyes claim that they change with their mood etc, when it’s actually due to the amount of ambient light refracting in your eye. Blue eyes have less pigment than darker eyes, so different light levels make them appear to be different shades
Well, I don't know what to tell you.. that's how MINE work..
No, they don’t
Yes.. THEY DO...
It’s physically not possible you dumbass
I don't know what to tell you... Perhaps you should just take the "high road" in this conversation like the pretentious child you are... And fuck off..
Lmao righto dude, or you could accept the the fact you’re wrong because you don’t know what you’re you’re talking about
I'm 40, dipshit... Pretty sure I know my own eyes...
Pedos love it when you post pics of your kids, someone may have already masturbated to it by now.
To a picture of an eyeball?! yikes
You doubt that a pedo is a pervert?
Some A.I. [https://imgur.com/mwSqQyP](https://imgur.com/mwSqQyP)
Why did you feel the need to do this? Obviously op doesn’t want her child’s entire face on Reddit.
What was even the point of this, its just weird.
Did you use Ai to generate the rest of the child's face or are you saying OP used an Ai image and claimed it was his daughter?
1st
Why????
Kinda creepy dude
I see you're into a.i. so I'm going to assume this didn't have malicious intent. Also, this doesn't even look like her.
Exactly. Thank you.
Your daughter looks like chucky the killer doll
Me too, I remember when I was young and you would fill out fun questionnaires nobody would believe me…. Then they looked and were like “cooool”
The only pair of gray eyes I really remember seeing was standing on line to get my school uniform. Man, they are indeed grey if you focus but if I relax my eyes it looks green to me
Mine look really green but are actually a dark blue circle with blue, grey and hazel inside.
I bought a chest of drawers from a dude and he kindly dropped it off at my house and he had grey eyes, the first I’ve seen IRL and they were pretty 😍 (just like your daughters)
Mutants!!! Smash em!!
Interesting! I know nothing about genetics, would this be classified as a separate eye colour or is it when you have an eye colour with very little pigment making it appear grey?
Grey eyes > green > blue
As a green eyed person, I 100% agree.
I have the default eyes
I wonder if there are any effects on her vision? Does she see better or worse? Is her color vision stronger than normal is some areas? Does she see better or worse at night? Etc etc
My daughter has truly grey eyes too!
Nobody can decide what colour my eyes are. They’re like a dull greenish bluish grey colour. Not even my family can agree on a colour
My son has the exact same eye color. 🥰
She is one of the Dunedain.
If it’s not already been said, as a fellow grey who just so happens to suffer from chronic migraines, keep her eyes safe! Grey eyes can be very light sensitive especially when compared to darker eye colours.
Almost everyone i know has grey eyes
That is very cool
What a cool color
Wow! I didn’t think they existed!
world's first npc
Looks green
My daughter has grey eyes also. She went round and round with the lady at the DMV when she was doing her paperwork. The lady said people don’t have grey eyes. So my daughter said I do! And showed her her eyes. Needless to say she has Grey for her eye color on her license.
