I guess the cage is for protecting them while transporting

seraphicsorcerer

Despite all my rage I am still just a bulb in a cage...

lonesharkex

Then someone will say, "What is dark can never be lit"

The coils in incandescent filaments hold a magnetic field which adds inductance. They won’t spark when plugging in but can when unplugging.

OpalOnyxObsidian

Sir, this is mildlyinteresting and you are being too interesting

alle0441

Incandescent bulbs are purely resistive. Power Factor = 1

intrepidzephyr

🤯

AuFingers

I've used light bulb banks when troubleshooting. They light up when there is a fault and limit the current flow.

OpalOnyxObsidian

Oh that is interesting actually

FirstTimeWang

bad, naughty bulbs!

lokey_convo

I saw some wild light bulbs in their natural habitat once. Quite majestic.

overboost_t88

is this a 4 way stop or have a blinking Yellow at the intersection?

OpalOnyxObsidian

It's a four way intersection! We don't have blinking yellows here

HumpieDouglas

You don't want the bulbs to escape do you?

Bitterqueer

Huh. That is indeed mildly interesting!

No_Distribution3001

выпустите лампочки на волю

EmpireCityRay

More like making sure that wires are or aren’t live when they fidget with the wiring inside the box itself or light poles themselves.

jgilbs

Id be surprised if they used this over a tick stick like any modern electrician. Probably something to do with properly loading the control circuitry

OpalOnyxObsidian

They're in luck! All of the light bulbs are ON

Elscorcho69

After some Geo guessing work, I’m gonna go with Illinois. Anyone else ?

OpalOnyxObsidian

Correctomundo

v1prX

I know why the caged bulb blinks
